[Q] Stock Rom Kernel Enforcing/Permissive - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Hey all,
Just wanted to ask(I know im not suppose to enter this thread here but for some reason no one cares about Q&A Threats mostly) where or how i can get my kernel SeLinux to be Permissive.
Searched on the internet for days now and on xda.
i know i can flash a custom rom with permissive kernel but thats not the point.
tried several custom roms and its not working with my equipment. And by equipment i mean i have an Smart Dock Multimedia Hub and use it for Gaming on my phone which is working the way i want.
But the thing is, since i want to use an Root app that need SeLinux to be Permissive im asking it here.
Most of the Custom roms dont support the Smart Dock Multimedia Hub so i want to stick on the Stock KK Rom.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 LTE i9205 rooted with CWM/TWRP Recovery
I really hope someone can help me out with this
BTW im kinda newbie with this kernel stuff.

oohh no no no! it is not that people don't care about answering the Q&A the problem is that people are lazy as hell and they don't search or read, they brick their devices and the first thing they do is to rush to xda without any search and they start opening thread's asking the same questions over and over again.
FYI : You could easily find this app by searching.

already tried that one, doesnt work it pushes back to enforcing, in the description of that app it says may not work on samsung devices with knox.
i have already disabled knox through SuperSU and deleted all knox stuff from my phone but it keeps pushing to enforcing.

Did you try wanam ? Under security hacks section its there.

Hi guys i've got a question:
Is it possible to root this device? (see screenshot)
And ifso wich guide and files to use?
Member since 2009, 102 posts, yet skipped the stickies and FAQ?
Yes, it's possible, and you've got several choices. Good luck finding them.
I've searched already but did'nt found exactly what to do and i dont want to risk taking the wrong path.

Seriously, you didn't even need to search. Q&A section. Fifth sticky. (SERIOUSLY. Like 3 inches below the "NEW THREAD" button you used to start this thread)
Roots any i9100 that has 2.3.5 or earlier.
Thnx for the helpful reply's
I think you meant this topic?
[FAQ] [ROOT] Questions about rooting SGS2 via zergRush Exploit
Well i've read it already and been reading a lot about it but i did not asked it if i knew what to use!
Maybe to you it's easy but i can't seem to find the answer that gives me the certain things to do/use.
Hopefully someone will give me the helpful/right answer (as i did in some posts) because when you take the time to reply it might as well be usefull.

Read post #4 of that thread. It has a WORKING link to the "[04/Jan][ROOTING/UNROOTING] DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v4.0](zergRush Exploit)
" thread. (I say working because post #1 has NONworking link to the same page. Thread author didn't link it properly)
If you can't understand this and think it's not helpful, I would suggest you not root your phone. No offense.
Thnx i've got it.
I'm not a noob but there is so much info and it's sometimes difficult to read the correct things because of the language.

I think he's fine. He's in the Netherlands, according to his profile, so T-Mobile Europe, not T-Mobile USA... so he SHOULD have an I9100(and does, going by the screen shot of his "About Phone" screen in post #1), not an SGH-T989.
Im fine indeed
Now trying to find out what the Possibility's are now it's rooted.
FE: now it's possible to flash a custom rom?
What are the essential things i have to do now that it's rooted?

You could have flashed a custom ROM withOUT rooting. Indeed, there are several custom ROMs that come already rooted.
EDIT: Sorry, ignore the above sentence. I'm mistaken. You need root. My bad.
Sorry, but in my opinion, you went backwards on this. You rooted for the sake of rooting, then wondered "what can I do now that I have root?", instead of rooting because you needed to do something that required root. But I digress, and I'll get off my soapbox now.
That said, several apps that require root that I like are DroidWall (control what apps can access the internet via 3g and/or wifi), SixAxis Controller (use a ps3 controller on your phone - great for emulators), AdAway (ad blocker), Chainfire 3D (for Tegra only compatible games), Root Explorer (essential for tweaking files in system folders), Startup manager (control what apps are allowed to start when the phone boots), Titanium Backup (backup/restore applications and their data, freeze apps), and SetCPU (undervolt/overclock/change governors/etc).
First of all i rooted for the apps that need rooting like titanium and some other apps.
Second, indeed for flashing because i always thought it was essential. (saw your edit)
Third, i read some things about security issues (dataleaks fe.)and thought i had to root to solve them.
Maybe i'm totally wrong but as i said before there is so much info that its hard to pick the right things out of the topics.
Thanx for your help. Learning more everyday

Flashing roms two methods ODIN or CWM and now MOBILE ODIN .
If you want to flash a custom rom you read that roms install instructions no more and no less .
Most but not all custom roms are flashed via CWM
CWM requires root and CWM install .
Root + CWM .

OK getting further and further every minute
Now know that with the actual root i can't flash.
Do i need to unroot this root before Root CWM?
So i read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399 and took Odin.
Now wondering wich CF Root to take.
My kernelversion says: [email protected]#2
Wich kernel i need to take:
this one: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEF_KJ2-v4.4-CWM4.zip
or this one: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEF_KJ2-v5.0-CWM5.zip
Or am i reading it wrong?
KJ2 might as well take v5 CWM
jje
And what about the unroot part? Do i need to unroot first and then CF-root?

[Q] kernek

hello,
i need to root my phone with this guide htt p://w w w . you tube .com /watch ?v=1DxNMeEHrvQ (it is good?)
in this video he root his phone with siyah...
for now i want to know does the siyah support my phone ? i777 this kernel is good? (my phone in 4.0.4 Original Android)
which version i need on this kernek (who suuport my phone)
i saw in their website downloads for siyah buy i dont sure it support my phone....
ht tp: //w w w .gokha nmoral. com/
Delete the space
why dont you just open up the dev secion?
then you would see a thread like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2110542
and its KERNEL not KERNEK
but i dont have Jellybean ....
i have ics that is why i saw the video...
Then how about this thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592228
you see? they are all listed there in the Development section. Took 30 seconds to find it
i dont find download
and i need siyah tar because i root with odin..
i just need a download for good siyah without bags and other things that support my phone and be able to root with odin
for exsampe h ttp :// w w w .gokhan moral .com / ?cat=5
but i dont sure it support my phone....
you can use ANY kernel in tar format to enable CWM, then flash the kernel you want before booting your phone up
i dont understand i just need kernel to do root
i saw that i need siyah so i just want siyah kernel without bags that support my phone

a kernel doesnt provide ROOT.
a kernel provides CWM which you use to flash the ROOT binaries/apk
a kernel actually has nothing to do with root, if ALL you want is root, then just install EXYNOS ABUSE apk and run it....had you read the existing forum posts on rooting ICS, you would know that.
A quick browse of the Q&A section brought me to this:

Pirate, sometimes I wonder why you waste your time with these fruitless endeavors. You deserve some kind of XDA medal for all the help you've dished out over the years.
Plus, kernek sounds like a Klingon warlord, which is never a bad thing.

Hard to understand you.
USB debug is unimportant, you are going to wipe the phone and flash a stock ROM via odin on your PC.
I can't be bothered to link, sorry.

Question about samsung knox

hi my friends i have a questions about samsung knox
I am worried about this app so i have a lot of questions
What is knox ?
Can i root the phone like s3 4.1.2 ?
Can i modify and change rom to any rom ?
What will happen if i donot flash my country rom knox will not work ?
Can i delete or disable the program
I have s3 and i want to know alot about knox and 4.3 coming very soon and thank you
It is not an app, it is a whole security suite for enterprise use.
You can root as usual, but it might void your warranty and you cannot reset it.
However, if you go straight to custom ROMs (the classic ones, like omega or wanam) the developers will usually knock off Knox for you, so you don't have to worry.
Knox is only available in certain regions as far as the rumors suggest.
You cannot disable the program properly if you flash a ROM with Knox not removed by prior modding.

Pay close attention to steps 16-17. Good Luck.
After this update to the newest recovery- cwm or TWRP (making sure you get the working versions for our device) and the development forums are your oyster so to speak.
Edit: Sometimes just flashing a superuser app will do the trick if this is your only issue, but if you came from stock this is how I started back in the day.
Edit: Some ROMs also require root access in developer options set to "apps and adb".
