[Q] Resetting watch - LG G Watch

So, I've been willing to Flash a Lollipop Rom on my phone to enjoy the trusted device functionality without the need of a third party app but I realised I had to reset my watch in order to re-pair it with my phone...is there any way around it ? I guess if I reset I'll have to download the OTA's update for the watch again ?

You can use Beelink.apk for resync without resetting the watch. Anyway the reset is over the latest firmware, so you dont have to download again the OTAS. I've not tried the resync, but I guess that you must install the same apps again, beelink app works great, but I don't know if it will work perfectly. I only can say that beelink unpair the watch for pairing with another device. Reply me if you want the beelink.apk, was deleted from playstore. You must install it on the watch throught ADB command line. I've tried unpair my phone for re-pair again with the same phone 5 minutes later, and it works.

Hi,
beelink don't have any interface and no effect after wipe my phone, can't connect to my watch without wipe.
edit: you must start beelink on the watch and send the pairing request from the watch

starbase64

Yes, and it did not pair?

Works here, but send pair request via beelink from watch.

I know, this app only runs on watch, but does your phone pair with the watch vía beelink? It may be paired succesfully.

Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and.../app-reset-wear-client-switch-phones-t3058962

I don't understand the big deal of resetting the watch.
Not to mention, you shouldn't need to reset it at all. Just go to SETTINGS and UNPAIR. Then pair it to a new ROM or Phone. It will synch as soon as it pairs to a "new" device or ROM.
Works pretty well.
I can understand wanting to reset for that fresh start feeling, so... what's the big deal?

No you can't just unpair from the watch and connect to a new rom or phone. You have to reset the watch. That's how it works unless you use Beelink or the new wear reset client.

I've tried using the app too, and it doesn't pair the 2nd phone.

Android Wear does not allow you to unpair the device from your main phone and does not allow you to pair it up with a new mobile device via the bluetooth settings menu. You must reset the device for it to go through OOTB again, during which the connected mobile is added to the Android Wear app's database/settings on the watch.

Use the Wear app.

The OP was asking if he could switch devices the watch was connected to after switching ROMs or Devices. The Android Wear app does not work for this purpose as it doesn't reset the connected device to accept a new connection, nor can it be used when there isn't a device paired with it. (Simply pairing through the Bluetooth settings menu does nothing).

Missed this reply. You absolutely can Un-pair, and Re-pair. You can Un-pair devices right from the watch itself. And if you can Un-pair from the Watch, what would possibly prevent you from pairing it to a new device?
//EDIT// OK maybe not. Just tried to Unpair from the Watch. Settings > Unpair > pretty much a blank screen. Nothing to do here. Why is this option here then??
That really wasn't the point I wanted to make, though.
Resetting the Watch is no big deal. Not like there is anything you need to backup. Reset, Re-pair, Resynch. Done.

In the interest of putting my money where my mouth is, I just reset my Watch. Wanted to try something anyway, so why not.
Annnnd: it's been 5 minutes it has already synched more then half my apps. Should be done in 10. Other then having to reset up and apps I said to "Not Bother Me" what is the downside of resetting?
Facer was the only app to not Synch. Went into AW and Forced a resynch. Everything is there now. Time spent, about 12 minutes.

There isn't really a downside to resetting honestly. Unless you use Google Play Music and have about 200+ songs synchronized, you should be good to go very shortly after that. I do agree that it is really no big deal resetting the device.

Indeed I tried beelink and i finally find it easier to reset every time I flash a new ROM no big deal since I don't sync songs

M2D My Second Device - TrueSmart Test

Hi all,
******************************************
Main thread for this project here

************************************************** *
Use m2d manager with Tasker App http://www.pacosal.com/desarrollo/20...h-m2d-manager/
************************************************** *
I'm working on a project to send commands between 2 devices in order to use one of them as an auxiliary gadget called My Second Device.
However I think that Omate truesmart could be a good auxiliary device for this test.
If you can test the App continue reading...
- m2d manager is the App that connects 2 devices over bluetooth and send and receive messages from one device to the other. It's a service that must be running always.
To give functionality to m2d manager there are, right now, 2 Apps relate to notifications.
- First one is Voice for Notifications Android 4.1+
- Second one is an App that receive notifications and shows you as a list with the notification content.
I don't have a truemate yet and that's why I can test if this works ok on truemate, but I've done test with other mobiles and galaxy gear as well.
If you can test it, make this:
- Install m2d manager
- Be sure you have your mobile and truesmart paired
- Run m2m manager in both devices
- Select the paired device and press Connect.
- Wait to see is both devices are connected
If so:
- Install Voice for notifications (Android 4.1+) on your mobile. More later go to settings and quit voice if you don't want it.
- Install m2m Notifications receiver on your watch
Tell me if this is working for you!

Bluetooth issue?
So I went ahead and tried this combo out...not sure if it's my Nexus 5 and the ROM it has, or if it's because of my Omate, but the Bluetooth connection will drop every 5 min or so if there is no activity. I tried disabling the WiFi 5ghz frequency band on my Nexus 5 to see if that might alleviate the issue, but that didn't help either. I might go ahead and try disabling WiFi on both devices and seeing, but I'm at work now and currently keeping myself sane with streaming music
Thanks for your test.
This Apps no drop Bluetooth connection in general.
Please, enable debug at both devices and after some time when this happens, send me the file you will find at the root of your sdcard in both devices.
Thanks
Okay, I'll do that

I got over 8 hours with EasyTether last night...
Hi,
I've released another version of m2d manager. Please, try this one. It's attached to first post as well.
And if you want to try more features...
I've released version 1.2.0 of m2d media remote sender and receiver.
New option enables you to manage one device from the other one. It's more a proof of concept than any valid thing, but I think is worth to try it.
The sender device must be rooted and with permissions in order this to work. I have to record a video.
For example you can try to manage your truesmart from your mobile.

Hi, pacosal.
My intention is to use your apps as a possible substitute of Osmart companion (that doesn´t works for me until now). I don´t know if this is possible or your apps are designed to work differently.
Anyway, I have tried these apps ('m2d Manager', 'm2d Notifications Receiver' and 'Voice for Notificatons') using a Nexus 5 as main device and my Truesmart as second device. Both devices paired correctly (they vibrate at the same time when the pairing occurs) and the apps seem to work, but when the Nexus 5 send a notification to the watch, the main app closes and I can´t run it again, only restarting the phone (curiously, before the app closes, the phone sends a notification from m2d to the Truesmart!).
I don´t know if this issue is due to a Nexus´ incompatibility or due to the Truesmart´s firmware.

Amazfit Watch Bluetooth keeps turning On.

Hello Guys
I am struggling with this issue and I don't know how to fix it.
Since I've installed Amazfit Watch my Huawei P8 Lite keeps turning on the Bluetooth and is not possible to stop it.
Once you try to switch off it takes few second to turn on automatically :crying:
I've tried almost everything, the only working solution it's to delete Amazfit Watch.
Of course there must be something wrong, any idea?
Thanks in advance for your support!

that's because you gave autostart permissions to the app and BT manage permissions also. You have to reset the permissions and dont allow the amazfit to control the BT.

Phone calls from S10E to Verge

Hi there,
I don't seem to be able to use the phone function on my Verge. I have the latest software update but I didn't find any way of making the watch get notification from the calls coming into my S10E. is this a Samsung issue?
Thanks to anyone who will respond.

Be sure you have latest update of:
Watch app (3.2.0-Play) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager&hl=en
Watch Verge (ROM) (3.2.5.0)
Then go to Amazfit watch app:
1. Open app
2. Profile
3. Amazfit Verge
4. Scroll to down
5. Notifications settings
6. Must be market/checked these: a) Push notification (must be red dot) b) in Push notifications must be added app which in yours phone is responsible of incoming calls. Also keep in my must be all permissions enabled, after update sometime need to enable it again. If still will not helps, do factory reset of watch Verge, with re-install app Amazfit in yours phones (I doing like this often, helping me), but without restore of data in Amazfit app. It's important !!!
IMPORTANT: After factory reset in watch you will lose that day activities information. But don't worry it must be show in Amazfit watch app anyway, you just couldn't to see it in that day when you will do factory reset in watch, past days must be showed. For me working everything like this
Thanks for the reply but it doesn't work

Sad Did you tried to connect/pair with other smartphone? Factory reset of watch Verge for me most time working, re-install of Amazfit watch app asking all the time to give permissions from new, so you ca be sure that you will gives it 100% right, but if you after all these steps still have this problem, you just can try to connect/pair with others smartphone, even with the same account, if working on others smartphone, that's mean with your S10 something wrong, if no and problem persist maybe you using AmazMode app or something like this? Then developers will help you better
My smartphone is not rooted, in watch is official ROM and I using it without any 3rd parties apps software and ect.
yes, with Pocophone it works very well. THe issue with Samsung is double sim. If I turn off one of the two sims the calls arrive to the Verge about once in every 10 tries. The other 9 the Verge vibrates a bit then stops and the call is not shown. I only get the notification of missed call. If I turn on both sim cards the Verge doesn't receive the call. Is there a way to inform AMAZFIT developers of this?
Are you using the stock Samsung ROM? Did you try installing a third party app for calls, like Contacts+?
You can send feedback from the app's help section (probably it will arrive in the Chinese support) or use this link if you have an International model:

I mean this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.edotassi.amazmod&hl=en_US. I think it not just for call If you using everything stock then strange and I advise you to talk with Amazfit Support in https://en.amazfit.com/support.html (Global, via mail) or https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us/categories/360001563933-Verge-Smartwatch. But I don't know why, but I have feelings that you doing something wrong, it can be that you did not gave permission for call notifications. As I mentioned try to factory reset (sometime it helping after several times), app to delete and re-install after reboot of smartphone, I don't have smartphone with PIE, but in these steps I don't think is something big differences as is in Marshmallow Good luck :highfive:

Amazfit Bip U Update problem after Notify App

Hello guys,
I just bought a new Amazfit Bip U, but after 2 days, i installed Notify for Amazfit app, and here you can install custom firmware. I saw something to see all emoticons, a font. But after update, my band shows "update failed". One of the worst solutions is to wait for a new official update... Do you know another solutions?

Question Spy/malware removal

Is there any kind that actually works? I keep fishing around on Google play and everything is either old, doesn't work, or is full of sh*t, or a combination of all 3.
Welcome to XDA
If you're running Android 9 or higher simply do a factory reset. There are no known rootkits that can worm out of the user partition, once that data is wiped so is the malware.
Don't reload it again after the factory reset.

Which would be how? Would I need a app or something for the pc? And if so do you have any recommendations? I have the mixsilver file manager on my phone (pixel 6 "Not pro"). Would there be a way I could find it thru there? Also my device is not rooted. So would I need to root? I'm sorry if this gets on your nerves. If so tell me, won't hurt my feelings. I'm literally a noob at this stuff. I've been trying to teach myself and just do trial and error but im getting in over my head and don't wanna accidentally brick my phone or worse.
What makes you sure you have spy/malware? Or do you mean adware?

With Avast or AVG Antivirus you can do a pretty good scan of your apps, even system apps if you want.

Chrome ****tin out 3 gigs of data a day. I have unlimited so it's not that big of a deal but still.....and some of the options I had in settings like "permissions, enable/disable, clear data/cache" that I know for a fact I had not too long ago are now greyed out or nonexistent. Also sometimes when I bring up "location" thru the settings menu everything is supposed to be "off" but there's 2 or 3 that look like they are switching back to say "off" as soon as the page shows. 1 of them outright takes several seconds to display any "on or off" setting at all. I've found a "Verizon" system app on my phone, some kind of Samsung telephony thing. And it seems like I can input a change to settings or something and when I look at my phone in the morning everything I had set up is back to it's previous settings.

If you end up clean flashing or factory resetting, I would not restore any apps from backups. I would reinstall everything fresh or you could just be putting the malware back on your phone, if that indeed is what you have.

Thank you. Umm.....stupid question but I've never done a full reset before so.....how and would I need to move my apps to another storage or could I just go back thru the play store and redownload? And any paid apps and subscriptions?
It probably explains all that in those links doesn't it?

Just redownload them. Google remembers your bought apps or subscriptions in your Google account, so as long as you use the same email/account for logging in to Playstore after Factory reset you're good.
Your contacts normally are also synced to your Google Account, so you get them back also then.

Thank you. I was worried it wasn't gonna remember me.

It comes with the phone by default just in case you do use Verizon. Basically that app helps give the phone Verizon support, of sorts. It's disabled by default if you don't use Verizon so there's really nothing to worry about with that app.

Man thank you. There's stuff on here that I don't understand and I've been thinking it's something I've downloaded or whatever. I'm new to all of this.
