Switching modems on stock?

I cant seem to find this, but is it possible to flash modems on the 3e recovery on complete stock? I accidentally updated to 2.3.6 after bricking my phone and can not work with the UCKH6 modem. Thank you in advance!

No you can't flash modems on 3e recovery but you can use Odin or heimdall to flash it.

Flash back StockROM after flashing CustomROM

Hello guys ,
i have got a question. If I install CWM and CyanogenMod, can I reflash StockROM without any problems (with Stock Recovery and original kernel, baseband and csc)?
Can I use a one-piece flashfile for that or I have to use a three-part flashfile?
If I have to use a three-part flashfile, where can I get it? On samfirmware.com are only one-piece firmwarefiles...
Greetings...
Shouldn't be any problems, back up sd card in case you need to factory reset to get it to boot

And if I flash CyanogenMod, how can I reflash the StockROM with all original things, like CSC, Baseband etc?

I'll use pre-rooted stock rom from here . All things you've asked are included in package. If you use TA and do Factory Reset your phone will be rooted and Official/Normal at the same time

CSC is Samsung feature, not included in cm/aosp, modem....just make a note of you baseband, and if the Rom flash changes it just re-flash modem

Download the stock rom of your choice from SamFirmware, then flash with odin. Then boot into the phone's recovery and factory reset then reboot and voila.

So you say that in a 1 part firmware are the same files as in the three-part firmware? That's nice! ^^

Before I got my SIII, I used a Galaxy Fit and there I needed all files to flash my Firmware...
That's very nice to hear. Then are the other fields for files only for that if I especially want one of these files and not for flashing a new ROM?
Yes, it's optional. If you want to use for example a Rescue Firmware you'll need much more files and then more options must be ticked

Thanks, and this Rescue ROM is for making a factory condition?
Yes and No. I've just used it as Example to explain why there's more options in Odin. Rescue ROM is for bricked phones, if you flash accidentally with wrong ROM it can bring your phone back to life

Yes, but do not use unless you have too, it contains a .pit file which is the partition layout, .....not to be messed with unless absolutely necessary

Did you try the full wipe tar? Also are you positive you're on MDK now and you downloaded the mdk tar? And did the md5 match on your download?
These are the most basic things that would prevent your phone from booting.

Stupid question...

Trying to update the firmware. My baseband says ng3 but my build is still nf6. Is the build number the firmware or modem?

Firmware
Not all full firmware images include a baseband update.
Baseband is the modem /BL
Build is the firmware, sometimes referred to as the ROM or system files.
You can find full firmware images all over this forum or on various other sites with a Google search. A quick look at this forum will tell you if the firmware image updates the baseband as people will be posting about that. Or look for the component parts here.

Thanks for the info. I have downloaded and flashed the firmware of b 3 and it will not change from nF6 no matter how many times I flash. I have tried Mobil Odin and regular Odin 3.09 also. Everything says the flash is successful too but it never changes. Only thing I haven't tried is the full stock tar from that page.
Anything you can think of?

when you flash the Flashable Firmware Only Tars file, it only update bootloaders, modems, if you want everything updated then u need to flash the Flashable Full Stock Tars.

I did flash the full stock tar as your said and it did finally update. However, when I reinstalled the rom, project infinity latest release, it reverts back to nf6 a build number. Is that normal?
