I want to be able to access this app to use it as a level. Want to move it to the Start Menu so I can make a Quick Link out of it. I copied AccelerometerCalibrator.exe from Windows to Start Menu and I get a link, but it does not run the program. Runs from the settings/system menu. No other new processes running with it. Anyone know how to do this? Is there another file that needs to be moved as well?
Yea, please. I'd like to see an answer to this, too...

Hi,
Try creating a shortcut as per this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=645916
The G Sensor calibrator is mentioned 7 or 8 from the top in the first post.
Thanks for the tip!
I had created a link to the G-sensor but was wondering why it would not run by itself. I had not seen that thread with all of the link data. Thanks again for the tip!
I did this just by holding on the icon and selecting Move to Top.
I don't know if this is old news already, but got a sudden urge to get G-Sensor easier place to access. And made it today by copying AccelerometerCalibrator.exe from Windows to Start Menu/Programs as a shortcut. Now it can be found under start menu in UI.
Try this

Hi there
Before I installed Eternity 2 on my phone, I had an installation of JBed. That I could run, but instead of listing jar apps in the root of my SDcard, it showed nothing and in the menu there were useless options labeled "reserved", so no advanced options to set where it should search for jars.
So if someone can link me a JBed, that is working and please attach screenshots, too, to prove it
Thanks in advance
This was the greatest hack for the Samsung Note 2014 which was lifted from the 12" Samsung tablets...
You'll need to have root.....
Download the tools.zip file below:
Inside are 3 files:
com.sec.feature.multiwindow.freestylelaunch
com.sec.feature.multiwindow.quadview
com.sec.feature.multiwindow.scaleapp
Place these three files in System/Etc/Permissions with the permissions of rw-r--r-- and reboot
Next download MW Apps Manager from the Play Store to add more multiwindow apps
- Add the programs you'll want to multitask with (some work better then others), save then reboot
Winning tablet!
(credits)
These files were originally provided by Samsung for use on their tablets.
To xperiacle for creating MultiWindow PLUS which these files are pulled from.
And to thachosenone for creating a zip file of the above persons work.
I gave this a try and for the most part it is working on my 8.4 S. An issue I see in comparison to your screenshot is that I do not have the "blue-dot." When I open a window it opens just like a window. Did I set something up incorrectly?
I dunno, if you did what was listed then no. Perhaps the 8.4 is setup differently then the 10.5? It would be nice if others can give this a try to confirm.

I have the 8.4. I think that set up is different as I have no problems. I get the blue dot. I think youre in windows view not multi view.
Fantastic! I donated to the MWM developer and requested Tab S support and it's here in quads! I see no reason to research tablets further as a 32GB version of the Tab S is now in radar lock.

I'd be nice to get the proper credit. Check where you got it. I was the one who posted the zip
How to get the four windows?
Got root. Changed permissions. Put files where directed. Have multiwindow app. Rebooted.
But...how do you get more than two windows? Dragging a third or fourth app from Multiwindow toolbar does not seem to work for me.
A bit of help, please! Thanks.
Recheck your work, if not then try again.
Apply permissions once the files are in place, reboot.

If you're rooted, you don't need multi window plus, just install xposed framework, and wanam xposed. Wanam xposed has the option to add things in multi window.
I have Multi WIndow App manager, but when I tried to install Multiwindow Plus, it gave me an error saying it was not compatible with my ROM. I see where it had the four window option, but it just would not install (tried several times)
Will the four windows pop up automatically? Do I start with two and then drag more on the screen, or what?
BTW, I did copy the files to the folder and then changed permissions to rw-r-r, and then did reboot.
I will try the other methodology, but still was wondering why I could not get this to work as in the directions.

You wouldn't need the multiwindow plus app if you just installed these files.
You'll only need the app manager to add more apps to the sidebar.
Roll it all back and start over

I just got my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and have read a few posts online saying people had mixed success with rooting. I would really like to avoid bricking my device. Does anyone have explicit instructions that they have done to root their galaxy tab s 10.5? Perhaps this is not the right thread, but I can't seem to find it on the forum.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Thank you for this trick.
I just made a flashable zip with zipme app from playstore.
Tried it and flashed well with TWRP.
Wow! Wow! Wow! (Kate Bush theme song)
Wow! Its unbelievable.
Brilliant trick. I can understand why they limit this - the RAM requirements for 4 apps may exceed what devices have when they have <2GB RAM. Having 3GB RAM was a great decision (by me ! when I decided to go for the tab-s).
Now I can enjoy having lots of windows to stare out of.
Superb work.

Hi
Recently inherited a Droid DNA that would like to use only for Audio & Video (No phone, Internet...)
Looked for a file manager app. Did not find any. Downloaded the man http://cache.vzw.com/multimedia/mim/htc-dna/HTC-DNA-UM.pdf and did quick search also nothing.
Is there a hidden file manager? If not appreciate suggestions how to install one.
Have access to a Windows 7 PC but wonder if 1st need to install a HTC Droid DNA driver?
Thanks
Ken
Update
Searched and found Verizon User Guide for phone http://cache.vzw.com/multimedia/mim/htc-dna/HTC-DNA-UM.pdf
Read entire guide, no mention of a File Manager.
Decided to check App Manager (which should have done 1st) and under All found listed Android File Manager v5.5.24..... (408 KB) and enabled.
Am wondering why it did not show on Home Screen, so rechecked User Guide.
Found p87 "Adding apps and other shortcuts on your Home screen" and followed instructions "1. Go to Settings, and then tap Personalize. 2. Tap Customize home screen. 3. Tap > Apps or Shortcuts. You can: ยง Swipe to browse through the apps or shortcuts"
Somehow All Apps never opened (only Apps already on Home screen).
Then tried "Tap to search for specific apps or shortcuts" when did this No Keyboard opened...
Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Will add, since the phone had many apps disabled when I got it, am wondering if some necessary files are disabled?
Thanks
Ken
Hello Forum,
Usually when you tap a link or document for the first time on a new device, you are presented with an list giving you the option to make one of the apps on the device the default app to open the link or document from now on.
In my case I just get a generic Android system error with a "report" button.
I solved the opening a link problem by using the option in Firefox to make it the default app.
However, for documents and anything else that may come my way, will crash instead of getting the familiar menu option mentioned above.
Any ideas, please?
Possibly an option that is turned on or off in system?
This is a stock ROM direct from Xiaomi. MIUI 10.1 Stable.
Thanks in advance.
I am using Solid Explorer file manager, there's such menu like you mentioned.
