[Q] Locked Bootloader - LB - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello,
I have found information about my problem, but no exact answer.
I have Motorola RAZR XT910 - I have tried yesterday upgrade official 4.1.2 982.124.13.xt910.retail.en.eu to CM11 KK from XDA.
Root + SafeStrap 3.37 insstalled without problem. Problem occured when I have start install from sd card. Nothing happend for 15 minutes, just installation do not procced (status bar). I had to reinstall ICS with RDS, because my Android broke down.
I have noticed on my bootloader info that is awful... "Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0"
1. I understand that there is no option to unlock this bootloader ?
2. Can I install CM11, other KK or any other custom ROM with locked bootloader ?
Thank you for help.

You must install the newest SS 3.75 if you want to flash some Lollipop rom,it's also compatible with KK roms.

al good
after you have backup CID and your kernel you can restore them just to be sure
you can flash rom in second system (webtop partition). To switch, reboot into BMM, flash desired kernel, reboot

There is a big thread written by Hrshi who made a bunch of tutorials for BMM, etc. For SS you can read on HAshcode's blog "How to Safestrap"

Honestly i would stay on ICS.Reason because ics roms are more stable and you can over and underclock ICS with motomizor on google play. With jellybean this is not possible atm.As far as kecex 4.2.2+ roms go, you don't need to upgrade to jellybean to beable to use any kecex rom.Once you upgrade to jellybean you cannot downgrade back to ICS.So think hard before you decide what you want to do.
If your looking to just upgrade your stock firmware and don't care about the other stuff i mentioned, then by all means go for it.

installing KK

Hello everyone.
Could you guys tell me how to install KK rom on xt910?
It's my brother's phone so I don't mess this phone up.
I read that I need root, then install safestrap and then finally install KK
Please correct me if I'm wrong or if I forgot about sth
The phone has 982.124.14 rom currently.

Assuming you are in JB, your thoughts are right. After installing Safestrap, create/activate a new Slot, Slot 1 for example, and play there flashing thr Roms.

No,there isn't.
And you can't flash stock rom with SS...or any custom GB rom because you're on ICS.
Try Liquidsmooth Milestone version, that's Kitkat 4.4.4

[Q] Safestrap v3.75 installation problem

Hi,
my XT910 is still on factory Android version. (2.3 I think).
I'd love to update to lolipop or 4.4. My phone is rooted, I have busybox installed and safestrap 1.07.
I found some instructions and some howtos. But the reqirement is always Safestrap v3.75.
When I now try to install Safestrap v3.75 an error comes up:
Parse error There is a problem parsing the package

I've tried different sources, my phone is allowed to install unknown sources AND I tried different file manager.
(I usually use totalcmd)
I need some help please
thanks

That error is because you are still on GB,you must upgrade at least to ICS.

Ok welder73,thanks for your quick reply. Do you know....is the backup I made with safestrap 1.07 still accurate with the newer version of safestrap? I mean can I go back?
First to ICS -> then Safestrap v3.75 -> then Lolipop
many thanks!!!

When you upgrade to ICS there is no way to go back to GB,also you can't go back from JB to ICS.
Just upgrade to ICS,root it,install SS 3.75 and test roms on slot 1,that way you'll always have your stock slot untouched.
