Guys, I'm in trouble.
Installed the Rom CM12 having here in the forum, on my Moto E. As it is not recognizing the SIM's, I did downground for Stock Rom 4.4.4 but still got the same problem of SIM's, now put the Paranoid 4.4.4 and still does not recognize the SIM's.
Anyone know what I can do to fix this error?

Bro i had same problem but i got it sorted out just downloaded stock firmware and installed it and it worked flawlessly if you have xt1021 then download and install this https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0Bxm0UDJX4r6bZ2tJdW1NRG5CQjA&export=download
And google mfastboot put them in one folder and then go through these commands
mfastboot.exe oem lock begin
mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe erase cache
mfastboot.exe erase userdata

What the hell? Man, type *#06# and see if your IMEI is null, unknown or if are the 15 numbers of your IMEI, if the numbers still there, just flash your stock rom with fastboot, if not, The only thing you can do is send your phone to Motorola assistance... I don't know what you mean with "Claudia", my name is Gabriel... Lets keep speaking english here brother

Hi Guys,
To begin with: "I HAVE SCREWED UP MY PHONE" and need your help... Please....
So I had rooted my phone also had TWRP installed. I wanted to cleanup phone so I used TWRP and tried to factory reset, while do that I went to advance wipe options and wiped out everything, including system partition - lost OS entirely - even factory image backup.
Now my phone does not boot, only able to load boot loader and fastboot mode with menu is coming, I suppose recovery partition is still intact and I should be able to boot into TWRP as well.
I searched on XDA and found that I can flash original firmware to get it back but I am not able to find right firmware for my phone. using fastboot command prompt I found this:
D:\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot getvar ro.build.version
.full
(bootloader) ro.build.version.full[0]: Blur_Version.21.12.40.condor_reta
(bootloader) ro.build.version.full[1]: ildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03
ro.build.version.full: Done
finished. total time: 0.013s
Click to collapse
That means my phone needs:
Blur_Version.21.12.40.condor_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03
Click to collapse
But I don't find it anywhere, I had updated my phone to 4.4.4 before rooting it and installing TWRP. This is India version XT1022 Dual sim model
Can someone please suggest what to do?
One thing that I can guess is to install flash this firmware:
Blur_Version.20.11.14.condor_retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03
Click to collapse
But I am not sure if this is the right one, can someone from India - who has not updated their device to 4.4.4 yet - tell me what is the firmware version on their device? and if possible also share it with me?
Please guys, would be great if someone can help...
Thanks,
Raks

Initially I started to follow following steps from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2756609
mfastboot.exe flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot.exe flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot.exe flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot.exe flash boot boot.img
mfastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot.exe flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot.exe flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot.exe erase cache
mfastboot.exe erase userdata

But in that 1st and 2nd step failed gave me error msg like some verification failed. I did not want to rewrite logo, boot and recovery partition as my phone was booting fine and was also going to recovery. I was afraid if something goes wrong with these two partition then it will completely screw up and brick the phone so I directly started with restoring system partitions and all the steps after that were fine.
Finally reboot was successfully and it was running 4.4.2 with bootloader unlocked and twrp intact. I was able to connect phone to wifi and all other functions were good, it even prompted me to download update 4.4.4 which I downloaded and tried to install.
But once phone was rebooted after downloaded it went into twrp recovery and from there in the reboot loop, I guess that was because I did not install SU or it was partially installed. So I downloaded latest version and installed it using twrp and at the same time also downloaded twrp version of 4.4.4 update from another thread and installed it using twrp.
Finally all is good and phone is working fine, XDA YOU'RE BEST :good:
Hey y'all! Sorry to bug ya, but my XT1528 Vz Moto E is wifi-less I was tinkering around, trying to get s-off through a combination of sunshine+kingroot, and when I mucked that up, I just restored to the stock rom posted on Mega. Unfortunately, alot of errors popped up in fastboot and now wifi is unusable :crying: DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?
You restored the same version firmware you had when you bought it ?
Or a newer version or alternate carrier version ?
Also did you have 5.0 originally then put on 5.1 ?
I screwed up my wifi before doing that eh..
Make sure you have Otus or Surnia properly picked out (for which you have / need)

S-Off? This is a Motorola S-off is for HTC. Also, I don't think you can fastboot flash a Verizon Moto E, as it's locked.

You can't even unlock the bootloader on the VZ variant or mount system as r/w, so not sure what their S-off attempt did.

So I solved the problem. Apparently, the theres TWO flavors of Verizon's 5.1, and I was flashing the older one. Also, I adapted my mfastboot commands to be similar to the ones in the script included in the firmware. So now wifis back in action! Thanks for your time!

If I'm not mistaken, the Vz Moto E would be able to have S-off except there's no way to achieve even temp root on 5.1

Hey y'all! Sorry for silent! In between college and looking for exploits in the XT1528 bootloader, I have had NO time whatsoever :crying: Its rather aggravating, these variants of popular phones with locked down bootloaders! but after seeing Moto unlock the Vz X 2014 bl, I remain hopeful!
In order to do a proper restore, you need to get the XT1528_SURNIA_VERIZON_5.1_LPI23.29-17.5_cid2_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip file from FileFactory/MEGA (link down bellow)
Flash in this order;

mfastboot oem fb_mode_set
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img

I got the same problem when i flashed marshmallow on my xt1524. Then i tried to flash previous lollipop 5.0.2 modem files. I Only used these commands.
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
And after this, phone booted up and loaded nicely. After setting up the device, i again flashed new Marshmallow 6.0 modem files using these commands.. and this time, it works fine.

Can you tell me what "firmware flasher" is? I need to restore my XT1521 to stock (if possible) and am looking for help in doing so.
To flash files with "fastboot" do you boot to the screen shown in the OP?
What is the difference between "fastboot" and "mfastboot"?
Is it better/easier to flash using Windows or Linux? I have experience with both, but not so much in using ADB or fastboot.

Hello all,
I currently have a Moto Z XT1650-05 SHERIDAN Dual Sim from China. I tried to install TWRP and root it but messed it all up. Now I am stuck in a bootloop. I tried to flash the stock rom in mfastboot using the XT1650-05 GRIFFIN China Stock ROM but it gets to the "Erasing" screen with a droid and keeps looping from there.
Have tried to google all over for a "SHERIDAN" ROM but not able to find one either. Could any kind soul here point me in the right direction to save my device?
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi @lohanbarth, I flashed the ROM and works great. But you mentioned that software channel will change to retla. But in about phone it is still showing retin. I used regular fastboot( not mfastboot) on Ubuntu 18
Will this work on a retgb device running NPPS26.102-49-11? Thanks

I dirty flashed in my dad's phone works fine till now,if any problems will happen I will clean flash?
