It's working here and I have to say: Wow!!! Blazing fast...1000x better then any android VM I've tried before. ?
BUT: I can't get any video player to work here (with exception of youtube)...even google play is not working for me.
Is there anything I can do to get videos working.
EDIT: G+ is also not working.
Install Android-x86 to USB Drive [Portable]
I install Android-x86 to my 8Gb USB Pen Drive conveted to primary from logical partition using EaseUS Partition Master with FAT32 filesystem

BackTrack is a distro based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution aimed at digital forensics and penetration testing (Hacking)
If you've never heard of it watch this vid http://www.backtrack-linux.org/
Theres an arm version available on the website. The file extracts to around 5 gig and wouldn't fit on a fat 32 sd card
But now I have nAa-ics-04 kernel (that supports ext3/4) backtrack on the pro has become a possibility once more.
and....... heres a thread on Multiboot / Boot From SdCard
however im not sure if the x10 mini / mini pro can cope with such a large os
would anybody els be interested in this project? Team work makes the dream work
It works on x8, so it should work on x10 mini / mini pro. Though, not enough SD storage space for me.
forget..... small display

I'm running GNU/Linux Debian on my Active, but Ubuntu is basically the same.

It's not that hard to install, but you'll have to chose how to install it depending on the purpose of the Ubuntu installation. Look at the link in my signature for a tutorial. If you don't need the full integration Android/GnuLinux it describes, you can stop when you've reached the step you are running Ubuntu in the chroot environment. It is safer to run Ubuntu in chroot, but more powerful to run the Andorid in chroot. Read my howto, and you'll understand.
thanks i try your tutorial

Note that for the simple solution (no integration, GNU/Linux in chroot), you only (almost) have to read the "Creating the Debian root file system" part of the tutorial. This is enough to run GNU/Linux, but without any control over the Android environment using it.
This uses ADB, and Intel drivers..
Ok,lets get straight to the app,we need a PC for this method, tested in Zenfone 4,and it works!! (Android Lollipop)
What's in the thing?? (Note: this is in a installer)
-XRoot2016
-ADBInstaller
-info.cfg
-SuperSU and CWM
A lot more!!
The coding is not really so messy, ive make it neat
Any bugs??: Non

reinstall the graphic drivers of your PC
Never allow Windows Updates to do so, because they are always a basic, out of date driver. Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA make updating your drivers easy.
