The S6 Edge is really calling my name right now. I wanted a smaller phone when I had the Note 3 but Gear VR suckered me in to a Note 4. I don't mind losing the SD card or battery because I plan on getting the 64GB model and morphie battery case for those days when I'm not near a charger. Anybody doing the same?
Not sure if I want to go to a smaller screen. I also really like the Note 4.
iam a galaxy fan from the s1 till note3 .But no more samsung for me . Not that i dislike my note3 .But i think the price is way to much. It looks like samsung wants to do the same as apple les specs the more in price. I bought my note3 when it was half a year on the market payd 465 euros for it .When i compaired it to the s5 it was a bargain(649 euro april 2014) . I have more ram more internal mem and the cpu wasnt that much faster than my note3.
Now that i see prices of 699 799 till 1099 euro .There are other brands that have the same specs withn a few months (oneplus ,xiaomi) for a much cheaper price. And tell me what can the s6 do what my note 3 doesnt.
Also when you see all electronic gadgets from tv to bluray players and so on they became cheaper by the time even so with new 4k tv's . But with cellphones its the other way around .Sounds more in my ears that they think oh the more we ask the more they want it .
i just gave my wife my note 4 and im using her upgrade to get a galaxy

Can you honestly say that Samsung is giving less specs here, though? I do not defend Samsung for cutting sd card support in the S6, but people need to have some perspective. The Note series are different than the S series. I have no idea why you are comparing them as if they were exchangeable. And if you care so much for a fast CPU, I'd say good luck finding a phone faster than the S6 this year. (except for the Note 5, that is)
this is probably what a note 5 is gonna look like
during a MWC 2015 Q&A session Samsung’s vice president of product strategy confirmed that the company is considering using a curved Edge display for the next Galaxy Note handset

i am going to change from my Note 4 Exynos to the golden S6 Edge ...because its so amazing strong and beautiful...and also because my Note 4 modell ( N910U ) is a forgotten one ( updates ) on the side of Samsung.. and also because this time Samsung is using one chip only for the whole world..:good:
I would have say Note 4 Edge because of bigger screen but when I saw the camera samples of the S6 Edge..., now we have to wait to see if Samsung can produce the same results on Note 4 Edge with an update of the FW
Samsung spec is good. But softwares not that great. All icon look same from s2 to s6. Need something better.
beautiful
phone - no doubt
but seriously the prices are OTT -
in this day and age with all the competition thats out there.... sorry samsung but i havent bought a phone off you since the samsung jet! and you were getting my attention again ..
i buy all my phones sim free - but paying £700 odd its just silly for a phone. its not like before where the phone cycles were long whereas now its like every 6months a killer phone arrives
Big Yes to Samsung S6 Edge!!!
I mean, just look at it, best Samsung design yet. So unique and beautiful. I would definitely get one!

Ya, but no. The Note series has always been an extension of the S series. Most of the features introduced in the S model are found in the Note series released right after. The note series just adds a bigger screen + S-Pen. In fact, the Note 4 was the first model that we could of said was much more of a deal breaker than the previous S, thats the 2K screen and metal bezel. Besides that, the Note has always been an S on steroids.
I think this is on purpose. As we all know, Samsung LOVES to introduce as some may call "gadget spam". They tend to have 4-5 (or even more) models of a same product. The good example is the smartwatch. Is it bad though? Well, if you're an early adopter, yes. But If you're patient enough, you'll find yourself with a more polished product. The Note series is a good way for samsung to test the market and constantly tweak their flagship phones.
The S5 still had a 1080p screen and all plastic. Then the Note 4 came, with a 2K display, OIS, metal bezel. Then the Note Edge came, with the same features but a curved display. Now that Samsung have seen their Note Edge has some traction and appreciation, they created a double curved display of the S6. All I can tell you is, (this will be confirmed when official number come in) most people that pre-ordered chose the S6 Edge over the S6. At least for my carrier, there are about 3x more people pre-ordering the edge than then non-edge model (according to reservation numbers submitted by forum users).
I think because the S6 was such an improvement over the previous S, the Note 5 will not have much space to improve. They will make it an all glass + metal design and have an edge and non-edge model with 5.7 to 5.8 2K display and maybe the biggest improvement will be a 20MP camera like the S6 was rumored to have. That or they will find a way to put a removable battery + SD. All speculation until late summer 2015
DayOne For me!
For me GALAXY s6 edge of course !!! But after so half - 1 year. Price 1000 EUR is incredible ! Higher money then 400 EUR - 500 EUR is rubbish

How is Samsung giving us less specs here. I see upgrade display, internal storage, processor, RAM, etc., etc. We lost swappable battery but gained rapid charge where you can have 4 hours of talk time in what 10-15 minutes (can't do that on other phones) and the microSD was a dying on the vine, Google kicked it, and so are just about every other Android maker.
I always said that if Samsung dropped microSD I would drop Samsung, well they proved me wrong, I will be getting a GS6 Edge 128GB because I care more about internal storage and less about microSD cards which is why I opted for the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB but honestly its bulky and cumbersome. I much prefer a smaller 5-5.2" phone with the requisite 128GB built in.

Yet Apple can charge a premium for a substandard phone in in terms of RAM, Screen, Multi-Tasking, customization (without jailbreak), and still charg way high prices and people are suckers when they get a 16GB iPhone then ***** about it.

Custom ROM flashing possible?
If S6 models do not have sd card slot then is it possible to flash Custom ROMs, Recoveries and Kernels ?

Who cares how quickly a new phone arrives? You don't have to buy every phone they is released...
If you kept phones 2 years before, you can keep it 2 years now. That is your choice...

SD cards have nothing to do with flashing anything. You just store stuff on internal SD

i want all of your opinions on whether or not trade my iphone 4. unloackable for the galaxy NOTE.. can you tell me how long does the battery last on your phone and if it is worth to trade it
thanks
I used to carry both an iphone and an Android phone. After getting the note, I sold my iphone and use android full time.
the battery life is fine. if you are a heavy user, carry a spare battery.
I just switched from an iPhone 4 to the Note about 2 weeks ago. I have absolutely no regrets switching. I have always had an iPhone from the first one in 2007 up until 2 weeks ago and never saw myself switching because of how the build quality of apple and smoothness of iOS was. When I used a note for the first time it blew me away the progress that android has made over the years. While I still don't think the overall build quality of this phone is iPhone status everything else is better. As far as battery goes, unless you plan on trying to go multiple days without charging then it is a non issue. It gets through a day just fine. I will say the battery life does drop faster than my iPhones did but there's really no difference to me as the note gets me through the day with plenty to spare and I charge it every night anyway. Once you get a Note you'll wonder why you used such a small screen before.
I know the screen is really small on iphone .. I used the htc titan before .. N i am thinking of trading it . For a Note but im still in doubt .. Since i am with tmobile . The internet might be the same unless i put the hack to get 4G ..
Is the camera good on the note ?

the camera is brilliant.....great pics. i take pictures and can zoom in on the smallest details of that pic and see it clearly.
The battery life won't be quite as good add your iPhone, but it will still last you through a full day. I can pull about 16 hours total with 4 hours of screen time on a charge, but I try not to look at my phone for 25% of the day anyways. The screen will make you laugh at your iPhone. The iPhone has slightly higher pixel density, but once you go Super AMOLED HD, you won't go back. The SPen also brings more usefulness than you would think. Also, with Android, even without rooting and ROMing, you can still use rings of different kings of launchers, change how your icons look, use different keyboards, and perhaps the oldest argument, view flash content.
Don't get me wrong, I like the design of iPhones, minus the small screen, and their software does run smoothly, but after 3 Android phones there is no way I could go back. IPhones are just too limited for my tastes. With my 3g, I felt like I had a nice phone that could play some cool games. With my Note, I feel like I'm carrying with a tiny computer with limitless tools at my disposal. I also like when other people pick up my phone and have no clue how to use it, but it is still way more streamlined for my own personal use than an iPhone would be.
With Android you decide how you use your phone, not Apple.

I have ALWAYS blackballed Apple for the proprietary BS... I had to bend once when my wife brought home an ipod she found. I was pretty upset that I had to deflower my xpsl702x with itunes. I am ashamed of myself for allowing this to happen, but I would have been more ashamed of myself for not following my wifes requests.
Traded my iPhone 4 for a Note and I love it
I was a die hard apple zombie.. I once believed like all others that apple would cure world hunger. I traded my iphone 4 for a Motorola artrix then a international galaxy s2 then a skyrocket and now a galaxy note.. I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE..
you will love the note..

There are a lot of Note users that came from the iPhone. I havent seen any regrets so far. I too came from the iPhone 4 to the Original GS2 then skyrocket...then the Note. It just got better everytime. Some iPhone users are way too stubborn to switch but I rather have choices than to "accept" what they give me.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
alright well I'm gonna trust you guys that the camera its really good quality thats what I'm more concern on.. cuz i am a picture fanatic...i wil b trading it for the note... if i don't like it how much are the notes selling for more less any idea ??

I like the camera on this phone more than the one on my old ip4. I can't speak for the 4s, but the note has a better camera than ip4.
You also have many more options inside the camera and quick options for uploading images to various apps from within the gallery.

do you experience any lag on the note??
ii will trade it but I'm afraid the size of the screen will b too much ...
has any of you tyried the 4g hack for tmobile also?
i chickened out on getting the note when i saw the size in person..im a iphone user 4 years and omg the iphone is so small i cant go back to it too small..youll get use to the size of the note..not really pocket friendly but depends on person to person..as for battery give it time to cycle and it will improve..but battery life depends on settings/use/rooted ect.. i love my note but sadly i have another pixel issuse so this one is going back to hopeful get another one with no pixel problems.. only thing i dont like is the camera speed capture its slow for me..battery could have been a 3000mah to give it a bit extra use..sometimes it lags depends how much ram your using and crash some apps could be bugs.. im stock GB..waiting for ICS real one..dont want to install root stuff right now
i switched from iphone to and i love my note will never go back to apple. my batt life is equal to my iphone so no complaints
Do it! If you don't like it I'll happly trade you an iphone 4 32gb unlocked with ssh saved for every firmware plus an otterbox case.

Hello guys. What were you actually expecting from Samsung Galaxy S3? Why I asked is because of reading few people's comment on it saying- "Samsung fail", "Not worth ed". Did you all expect Samsung to stuff in a super computer in a 8.6mm phone?
Now, you might say "that's MY opinion". I guess you are right.
But let's think something deep-
1) All you are asking for is 2GB RAM. Why? I could never cross 550MB in my S2.
2) 12MP? Well that might be even what I wanted. But Samsung fully concentrated on software tweeks.
3) The design is poor- I don't agree. What I agree is the build quality is cheap.
What do you guys say? I think S3 will be a hit
I was expecting )
1-ultra amoled hd 3d display
2- near 2gb ram because many games and apps is future will require more and more ram.
3-better shape design.
4-well camera has been improved even it is 8mp.
5-hd resolution ......
Others were fulfilled basically the software features are awesome but design and shape is pathetic and as for hardware nothing is new or special I believe it depends what people expected from then .....
Ok wait WORST PART#### Samsung galaxy s3 featuring exynos is bad As sense 2.1/30.3.5/4.0.+
Would never be ported As it will be impossible reason - exynos chip does not support sense we would need to remake the ui ....
I will stick to S2!!!

There should be a forth question in the poll:
"Undecided, waiting to see it up close"
I'd want full hd display with 3d;2 giga of ram and a better gpu but I gonna to by s3 anyway!I really liked the design and these upgrade is good enough for me
I was explecting multiple versions of the device.
I would have liked to see one with a full QWERTY keyboard.
I would have like to seen one with no physical buttons.
I would have also liked to have seen one with pur ICS.
I watched the entire unpacked, and all I could think was, I can't wait for me to get my hands on one and flash CM9.
The S2 has never let me down performance wise so I expect much the same from S3.
However, my only disappointment is the look of the phone. It looks so S1. Major letdown.

OP raises a good point. Question is whether our expectations were too high or too unrealistic??
Just image, if there were no high-end phones from Samsung after SGS2 (assuming Note and GNex didn't exist). If we look in this way, SGS3 is a decent upgrade from SGS2. We can't expect them to give a gigantic upgrade compared to Note/GNex when these phones are roughly 6 months old. Idea is that, compare SGS3 to SGS2 and see what you are getting extra. It's unfair comparing it to GNex.
1] Change in design -- for better or worse, that upto you to decide.

2] Better SoC -- upgraded CPU and GPU.
3] Better resolution, even if you consider the PenTile. If we talk about sub-pixels, we are looking at 60% more sub-pixels compared to RGB matrix in SGS2.
4] Better camera quality even though the resolution is same. Check comparison between SGS3 vs SGS2 camera shots here
5] Bigger battery and more storage options.
I thought they would be able to produce a RGB matrix HD SAMOLED. Clearly, there is still some technical/engineering challenges. Hopefully they will do it in Note 2.
As for 2GB RAM, I would like someone to do a test and figure how many applications running simultaneously are required to fill 1GB.

No polls, just say whichever phone you are considering to move after Your Galaxy S2. I've been having mine for almost 2 years, And it's been a hell of a ride, I still think it was a good purchase, as it can move most apps with no real problem. My biggest complain is the problem with the exynos source, which has made a lot of trouble for ROM developers.
Anyway, the battery life has been a bit poor lately (in comparison to nowadays phones), and the phone overall is seriously bumped after so much traveling around. Nothing serious, but I reckon in a few months it might decide to die. So I'm considering options, and not being completely satisfied. What would you guys consider to move after this one?
-Galaxy Note 2/S4: Awesome hardware (not so good design), both replaceable battery and SD card slot, rather horrible exynos support that causes rather wonky ROMs.
-HTC One: Awesome hardware and stylish, hate the lack of menu button, horrible dev support overall. No replaceable battery, no external SD card.
-Sony Experia Z: You can friggin put this thing under water. Good hardware, awesome dev support, SD card support but no replaceable battery. And I insist, you can friggin put this thing under water.
Actually I have the s2 with a spare battery, so I bet for the s4/note 2 also the new s4 chip it's supposed to bring more balance to the battery drain

Yeah actually my S2 lost is battery in 'Nam (lost it in a crazy bus ride there), so I have two unofficial spare batteries, a Momax (Japanese) and a Pilsen (Chinese). Both performed like the official, but after a year that Pilsen is aging faster. So yeah, a note 2 is a strong candidate battery wise, but a huge put off due to Exynos ****ty previous support (in our phone and the first note).

Don't worry, it's a rather solid phone, and with a spare battery you will be able to do anything you want with it. Mine has just had too much hits everywhere, and the lid is falling off already. Everything else works mostly as expected. Just frustrated with the poor support on Samsung side for their sources on Exynos.
The Galaxy S2 has amazing hardware and still beats a lot of dual core phones even today. In terms of performance I have no complains about it but things which I dislike in my Galaxy S2 is lack of Notification LED & Mediocre Battery life. Also poor AOSP support is one of the drawbacks of the phone.
My next phone has not launched yet and It should be like Galaxy S4 ( Powerful, Beautiful screen, Removable Battery + SD Card Slot) + HTC One (looks) + Awesome AOSP Support (like the Nexus) .
I'll not be moving to another phone. Had my s2 for 18 months and when my contract is up later this year I'll be keeping it. No issue with battery, makes calls, sms and t'interweb what more couldI I want or need.

You're a lucky one....But you still had it for only a year, right? Mine is about to make two, and got it with no contract, as I hate to be tied to a single operator (or even a locked phone...I travel rather much). Case is, mine got several hits, and even some water some months ago. The screen still shows spotless, but everything else shows huge scratches, and the battery lid is barely holding together. I'll keep it for as long as it works, but I just think that won't be much more...hence the thread

All my android phones have ended up with AOSP on them, so I might as well get one that has pure AOSP from the start. I originally got this because 2 years ago Samsung were the only manufacturer who left their bootloaders unlocked. Look at the faff about with the original xperia, or what HTC are doing even now. But I'm sick of no source code and having to wait many, many months for an update, so definitely Nexus for me.

i moved to Nexus 4.
I still have to find a worthy successor for my beloved galaxy SII.. ive had this phone for nearly 2 years and its by far the best phone ive ever had. Such a shame Samsung stopped making them as otherwise i would have stuck to the SII... i am debating between the S4 and the new sony xperia Z as ive read some good reviews about that one!

I moved to Galaxy Note 2 N-7100 two weeks ago, never been so happy with a new phone.
Big (gaming is Amazing), high performance (2 gig ram makes really huge difference) and nice look
waiting for s4
hoping s4 ll be as good as it looks...
Lol......by the time my contract is up for renewal, the S6 will probably be available....one thing's for sure I WON'T be getting anything with an "I" in front of it's name......lovin the android freedom.......

What do u think of Nexus 4 ? I'm thinking of moving to Nexus too so would appreciate your opinion
AW: [Q] What phone will you move on to after your Galaxy S2?
I'll keep my S2 as it performs very well and is great for customizing and repairing
I'm thinking either N7500 or Xperia Z.
Or the new Nexus. It seems like I dislike all stock firmware. I might as well get hardware that supports a free choise.
Still loving my S2, the music player is unbeatable with Sennheisers, and once you change the white balance away from Auto, the camera is brilliant.. Ive chopped and changed a lot of phones over the last year, but keep coming back to the S2, nothing beats it, even better than the One X IMO,.. seriously, but my next upgrade will be a Note 2... looks gorgeous.
Well apart from when her in doors is present. Lol
I'm seriously excited to be getting this phone. My handset is between 1/3 weeks away but I'm still can't wait.
Well done Samsung.

Well, just to increase your excitement a little further.
I have owned just about all the flagship phones over the last 3 years. HTC one M7, 8 & 9. Galaxy note 2 & 4. Galaxy S3 & 4. Nexus 4, 5 &6. iPhone 6 & 6+. (Seriously). Alot I know.
Have never found one that i thought truely had everything. HTC's (great speakers, smooth rom, but rubbish camera. Samsung Notes and Galaxy's (Good cameras, cheap build, laggy software). Nexus devices (fast smooth OS, poor cameras and build). iPhones (stable smooth OS, good camera, locked down OS, boring).
But, the S6 edge is absolutely fantastic. The build is brilliant and beautiful, the camera is absolutely excellent and the phone is blazing fast (ignoring touchwiz redraw). I really do think that this phone is a game changer and the best device released in the last 3-4 years hands down.
So please rest assured that i think you will find that this phone is very much worth the wait. (plus there might be some custom development by the time you receive the device).
Hope you enjoy

This is great to hear. I've been worrying about choosing between this and the M9 for ages. I've had flagships forever as well, but when I saw that this one wasn't waterproof and had no expandable memory I got very sad. But looking at this and the M9 side by side, the LED display is about 999x brighter. Coming from an S5 I can't got back on a good, bright screen.
This phone is so freaking awesome...excellent build, gorgeous display and the best camera in the market (daylight and night pics)... The speakers are loud too(sound quality is decent)… Samsung set the bar really high with this one.

I did a side-by-side comparison in the store as well and to me it wasn't merely about brightness of the M9 and the S6, but the resolution really appeared to me to be much better for the S6. I'm an HTC loyalist and have been for years, but the screen and camera issues with the M9 caused me to jump ship back to Samsung, not to mention there is now a Samsung phone that has an attractive build. Fingerprint scanning and wireless charging were big plusses as well. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and decision.
I don't think you'll be disappointed at all. The only thing that isn't up to par with the Ones IMO is the speakers, and who listens to high end audio through their phone's speakers expecting greatness anyway. Heck, I never did that with my One.
Did anyone mention too that the cameras are amazing?!? LOL simply put, I reiterate everyone else's sentiments that this is the best phone I have owned to date and I've had many of the flagship devices. I also was always opposed to not being able to change the battery or expand the storage but I haven't had issues with the battery or storage yet! I know it isn't the "post your photo" section but this is one I took at night that is unedited. Best night shot on a cell phone I've ever owned.

My list isn't as robust, but I've owned and used a lot of phones, and the S6 Edge is the first time since the freaking Galaxy Nexus that I can recall being genuinely excited about a new phone and not just "oh hey that looks rad I want it." From the moment I saw the S6 Edge I had a moment of "well I'm getting that." The Nexus 6, the M9, those didn't really grip me. They're fine phones, but nothing that made me almost annoyed at the knowledge that I'd be getting ANOTHER phone.
I'm not going to call the S6 Edge perfect, but I will say that it's the closest I have EVER run across. I have my quirks with TouchWiz still, it's a bit too slippery for comfort, and TBH the whole edge thing is, as yet, a bit gimmicky. The notifications are... okay, and the clock is nice, but I don't put a lot of mileage into them.
What the S6 Edge nails is just the intangibles. I haven't just wanted to PLAY with a phone since I got the iPhone 5s. Even when I have nothing to do, when I'm sitting at my laptop, I find myself looking for excuses.

Do you guys think quick charge makes up for the small battery?. That's the only thing that disappoints me, the battery life
I LOVE my HTC one m8 and haven't had a Samsung since the original note, it's great to hear these comments and I can't wait to get mine! Going to be a long week whilst I'm waiting.

I know there are a number of users who are complaining about battery life but mine is ok. Averaging around 4-5h screen time. Not great but not bad. Fast charge however is excellent. It charges extremely quickly. I have also purchased a koolpad qi charger and this works brilliantly. A bigger battery would of been nice but then that means a bigger heavier phone.
My battery life has been considerably better than my HTC One M8 was (also owned an M7). Both HTC's were good phones, but the S6 Edge is *amazing* in so many departments... loving my purchase decision.
Been using S6 for a while an I'm thinking buying the S9 plus exynos version.
I haven't bought a phone with my own cash and I'm considering of buying the S9 plus now. But I keep reading that the exynos version has some issues with battery life and I have combed the forum with no proper result. Since I already love my s6 i really want to buy the s9 plus but I have this nagging feeling about the battery life. Please someone enlighten me or help me with this
Thanks

Well you should get the Exynos variant if you want to root your phone. If you root your phones you'll have ways to tweak your device making the battery issue a non issue. Bottom line no root=SD, root=Exynos.

i think you already know: exynos is cpu faster.. snapdragon gpu faster (even the gpu in my zuk z2 : adreno 530 from snapdragon 820 is faster than the s9+ gpu..) but it doesnt matter in everyday use.. both versions are more than powerful enough for everything in the playstore .. I still have my s6 and s7 and s8 and can tell you the biggest benefits you get from s6 to s9 are more AND faster RAM (ram bandwith has also gotten better) and faster UFS 2.1 Storage.. i wouldnt say battery is worse than s6.. s7edge is the best with battery, s8 also pretty good, s9 is definetly not better than s8 but depends on what rom \kernel... the Elemental Kernel gives OC with which I did beat even the iphone x ( 4000 in singlecore and well over 10000 in multicore geekbench).. BUT it drains battery like at least 1% a minute when browsing \ playing.
Honestly i like the s6edge+ camera BETTER THAN THE S7 ! (in daylight) because of more detail (mp count) in s6.. of course s7 is better in low light. s8 improved on s7 and s9 improved on s8... and now my s9+ WITH ZERO CAMERA MOD (improved quality and bitrates) beats the pixel 2 xl, the sony xz2 and the huawei p20 pro in a straight (full auto) fight. (I tested in a couple of stores with the handsets on display there..same photo in the same direction, same conditions all auto settings).
About Design:For me personally the s6 (at least my s6edge+) is the most beautiful, has more character.. idk how to explain. also s8 and s9 are very slippery in the hand and you will ALWAYS pick it up the wrong side up\around ... cus when screen off it looks and feels(when out of pocket) EXACTLY the same. SO, USE A CASE!! :good:
Im not having any battery issues on my exynos, my battery life is on a par with my Pixel 2 XL.
Its a great device, dont hesitate to buy.

Note 9 has been benchmarked with the same SOCs (945 and 9810). You may have to wait till next year then, no?
Seems fine to me!
I have no problems (256GB dual sim model). Running Soldier Stock 3.5 rooted with Magisk. I think the battery life is pretty good particularly standby.
Perhaps, because the phone is so good that we're just using it so much that it seems like the battery is going down faster.
I dunno. Even so, with fast wireless charging and decent power banks, etc. it's not that much of an inconvenience if you do rip through it. At least for me it isn't.
Possibly the contender for the worst battery life ever was the S2 Skyrocket. That phone needed a removable battery! Like prowling the streets with a big block V8 with double pumper carbs, you can see your gauge dropping!

Though Note9 will be equipped with same SoCs , its expected to be tuned better as especially the Exynos 9810 is more powerful than whats achieved in the GS9 and GS9+. In addition, its rumored to have a bigger battery.
Its also rumored to be unveiled in July end or August beginning even though its been delayed by 2 weeks based on rumors and then to be released soon after , so its just two & half months more from now.

Sounds good! Just curious, is this before or after the BRE5 (latest) update?
I guess before as I have downloaded the update but not installed. I just got my rooted to get rid of Bixby and other apps. Probably will wait for a couple of my updates before I do anything to it; it runs so well now.

Hehe, exactly! Like Galaxo60 once said, there've been over 8 million units sold, and counting every single post (including YouTube) on the internet (even counting them twice over hehe) probably would barely make 100. Again, you have to remember that the vast majority of people who are happy with eg. battery life (eg. getting 6-8 hours SOT with the exynos) don't actually post anything. In saying that, the fact many people on these forums alone (and on Android Central) do post their satisfaction reflects that battery life is actually very good. Sure, if you're expecting to get 10 hours SOT with heavy gaming, then you should certainly look for something else.
Exynos 128GB, stock BRE5, no issues.

Type galaxy s9 or s9 plus batterylife in google and you would instantly understand 'bout d batterylife of the exynos model. Internet has millions of more database than XDA. Thank me later.
Battery Life of s9+ Exynos isn't that much great, I would never buy s9+ at this stage... I suggest you to stick with your current phone for a while and go with Note 9... But overall its upto you...

I do hope Samsung is spending engineering time tuning the 9810 for the the note 9 release. I assume the underlying hardware will still be the same, so the patches can be applied to the S9/S9+ as well.
The S6 was an amazing phone!
