Is there a way to remove the "no Sim card - sprint" in status bar of asop lollipop ROM? ROM run perfectly just message on status bar lock screen.
As of now I am pretty sure that is still a bug in cm although I could be wrong. The only thing that I could think to do is edit some of the build.prop stuff. Specifically the code talking about needing a sim card. I don't really know what to change but maybe one of you guys could figure it out.

Im currently using the Home Base rom. I was previously using some other roms, and I think it was in the Alien #4 rom that the carrier was displayed in the status bar at the top left at all times.
I don't want to download any apps like phono or change carrier name unless necessary. Is there some kind of mod to restore the carrier name to the status bar or do I just have to use a rom that has that mod?

Just a question, but...why would you WANT the carrier's name at the top left? They removed it because it looks nicer and offers you more room for any status bar messages that may appear.
I just got used to it in the original rom I guess
I did accidently restored the AT&T to the status bar by replacing SystemUI.apk file with one from a rom that had it.
Try using the file from this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1222426
Actually this is the file that I used to do this. Only use on 4.5.91 or it may cause stability issues if it works at all.
i had installed jellyblast v3.0.3_ported_for_s5830i and i could not able to change lockscreen image as well as "import from sim card" is not working properly it says "no contact"........what should i do???????headset is working w/o any issues......:good:
Sim reading does not work with custom kernel on Rom. (i think)
Sent from my iPhone 7GS XXXXL
Above person is correct and to change lockscreen wallpaper
You have to install stock Gallery3D.apk
Is it possible to remove the stupid Verizon sim activation from the 4.3 roms? I'm running sapphire 1.5 and I keep getting prompted for sim activation. My phone is flashed to page plus with a new (un-activated) Verizon sim card.

I think there is a build prop edit to stop the sim error. Or a csc edit. I cant remember. Look at the carrier flashing threads

From joe3681, thanks!
"Get titanium backup from market and remove SetUp Wizard. You'll see it in the list of installed programs. There's a 1.0 and 1.3 I believe it is. You can remove both, then should be good to go"
I downloaded Titanium as he said, you need to be rooted.
Open titanium and work your way through all the promptings.
go to (backup / restore)
scroll all the way down to setup wizard. Mine had 1.0 and 1.3 like he said.
uninstall them by touching each one and choosing the red "uninstall" tab.
reboot to verify.
Worked perfectly for me, no more blockout and no more activation prompts! Thanks!
why is it like that and is there a way to fix it? (removing totally or down it to one)
its like: "Operatorname|OperatorName"
Wait, you mean it only happens on CM10? how about stock, CM9 or other roms?
Some carriers have two names on my country too. Tigo shows as "TIGO|TIGO 3.5G" on my phone (CM10.1).
well it wasnt like this on stock gb and ics. started to seen like this after cm10 rom. anyway its not a big deal but i just want to edit or delete it if its possible.

you can try install xposed framework, then install gravity box for JB. there is a setting for lockcreen where u can add a custom provider text. simply write a emty space ( " " ) in it - done. remember to reboot after installing the framework from its app. after then insatll the gravity box module & check in modules, again reboot. now do ur stuff.
Can anyone who has been thru the filesystem tell me where i would go to be able to change or delete the TEXT on my lockscreen, that says swipe to unlock.
I have removed the verizon logo and somthing else i dont recall at the moment. But i havnt found any xsposed modules that let me remove " swipe to unlock" text. I want to use swipe to unlock my phone. But want to clean up the screen and remove the text. Can anyone tell me where i could go in file explorer to change/remove or another method to remove this. Also i wanted to ask if the stock shipping firmware rooted is aosp or not. Im not sure and still wasnt after trying to search aosp and reading up on it a little.ive seen some xsposed modules that talk about working with only aosp.
You can use xposed and download clean lockscreen

Neither of those apps had any effect on my lockscreen. I want to remove the camera button and phone button feom the bottom of my lockscreen. Also i wanted to remove the verizon banner from the top of screen, i removed verizon banner with" hide carrier label v2". But i still have the camera and phone buttons on bottom of thw lockscreen. And i use swipe to unlock and im trying to find a way to remove those 2 buttons, but still be able to use swipe to unlock. Does anyone know any ways to remove the buttons. Any wayy i could mod a file in system that has the lockscreen properties in it.
