[Q] Permanent Green Heart Rate Sensor Light - Samsung Gear Fit

Hello, does someone else has this problem before?
Today after my workout I found that the Gear Fit has this problem. Black screen and the heart rate sensor is lighting permanent green. On the GS4 it shows still as connected but the data wasn't synchronized.
Is there anyway to reset the Gear Fit? Can't find any pin hole??
Anyone here to help?

battery discharge
Retry charged
does not boot ? complaint...

So, battery discharged over night and the Gear Fit comes back like after a factory reset. Is there really no other way than to wait for hours after a software crash?

Had this today.. My middle battery contact was bent so i guess it wasn't contacting properely..
Took battery out, straightened pin and all is ok again....
Hope your is the same as it's easily sorted..
Yea, that basically means the phone can't charge. Be it because the battery has overheated, its a different battery, a contact is bent or dirty, or anything. It is related to not being able to charge the battery though.
i got this last night for the first time. my phone wasn't hot and never dropped or bumped. i just rebooted the phone and it didn't flash anymore...

oh! thats sound scary...
happened to me a few days ago i left it in my car for a bit it got hot so i figured thats what it was
battery got fried? or just dirty battery connection needs a contact cleaner?
This happened to me once, after "playing" a lot with Igo, the battery was extremly hot; so i cooled it down in the car putting my leo directly in front of the A/C exit, as it cooled down it stopped the blinking.
Had this happen to me a few days ago, noticed 2 things.
1) 2 pins on my battery connector were bent - attempted to realign them.
2) CPU was overheating while running multiple apps AND charging at the same time; seems to be a bad combo in the summertime...I could barely touch the back of my phone it was so hot.
I'd suggest that if you're running a lot of apps and/or charging the HD2 that you take off the silicone cover it came with (if you have it on). Even the fastest processor will get completely fried if it overheats, and I certainly don't see a fan running on the HD2
I've yet to have the LED flash at me again, but I can almost guarantee that these LEDs are flashing because of overheating or a bad connection.
Best of luck.

Same with my HD2. Had it twice this week running Navigon, Screen was set to bright, bluetooth on and phone was charging. Weather was hot, above 30 C and sun was shining from the rear directly to the PDA. And not to forget: My car is a convertible.. Phone was very hot and rebooted several times until I recognized the overheating. LED was flashing red and green. Does anybody know an app to control CPU temperatur or to 'underclock' CPU of the HD2?
I had the same issue today!
I believe it was because of the heat too.

Thanks great tool!
if you experience overheating, could you have a look here? I created a new thread to do some temperature monitoring:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=716288
I just had the same thing red green blinking. it was due to overheat. was sharing internet to my computer and it got very hot, now I put my phone top of antec twelve hundred's 20cm fan and it stopped blinking and got cool
And thank you for the answer why it was doing that because I got scared when it did that
I think it is battery issue, I experienced this once during USB connection with desktop(and several times with Touch Pro in car). These Li-Ion batteries have a circuit, which prevents charging when temperature rises above certain value. As mentioned in posts above, you can see this in summer, using navigation in car while plugged in to 12V. It is a normal operation of battery, preventing it from destruction from overheating. Simple solution is to have it cool down for a while.
Don't know how CPU usage relates with this(maybe the device takes more power from charger), but at least CPU generates also some temp, which warms the battery from outside...
I can always reproduce this error by uncharging the battery until the phone dies in android and then, start the phone and directly after that insert the charging cable.
I have no idea what this means but this is how I can reproduce it.
(If anyone wonders why I always uncharge it until it dies in android, it is because of some weird reason android doesn't show battery status correctly and dies around 10%)
Htc hd2 blinking red and green?
Hi everyone, a couple of this to possibly cloud the issue:
1/ I'd noticed bent connector pins quite soon after I'd received my HD2 - Figured they were supposed to be that way?!
2/ The LED/ Charging issue has, for me, started only recently. Even when the handset is cool (under 25c), no apps are running and the battery has 85% capacity remaining.
3/ Same issue on both of my batteries.
Stumped!
Even stranger......
If I remove the sim and charge while powered off - no problem. Turn it on? Flashing O&G LED again.

I just experienced the very same when my HD2 died while running Android:
I was checking the battery level - 13% - and suddenly the screen went black and I couldn't swich the device on again.
I plugged the cable in and it began to charge. I immediately switched the device on to see if it's ok and while booting and even inside WM the indicator was blinking orange and green until Android was running again - then it was only glowing orange and charging fine.
After 3(!) Hard resets the problem disappeared?
These were over a week so battery or software issue I can't say.

[Q] Weird battery and screen issues

Hey guys and gals
this is my first post here. although a lot here is about rooted devices with custom ROMs, I hope you can help me out - you sure have a lot of expertise here compared to many other forums.
For the past two days I've been running into some of the weirdest problems with my Galaxy S2. Before i go into detail, here is the summary:
1. Screen time-out doesn't work while device is not plugged to a charger or computer
2. Notification shows 100% charge for a very long time (hours after heavy usage)
3. Not sure if charging actually works
4. Booting up seems to fail when not connected to a charger
it started yesterday when I noticed the phone light up and say it was charging. The problem is it wasn't - it was in my pocket.
Then I noticed that the screen didn't time out. I changed the setting, nothing - it remained on. I could push the power to make the screen turn off and on again but it wouldn't time out itself.
The charging info went away... at some point. I left it to charge over night and in the morning it indeed showed 100% in the notification bar. The problem is it remained 100% for A LONG time. In the settings menu under the battery it says it has been running on batter for 0 secs and showed 100% charge. For hours... There were no info about any apps or function using the battery. that part was clear.
Then i discovered that the screen time out problem goes away while connecting the charger or via USB to a PC. Then it times out. As soon as i unplug the charger it never times out....
I'm actually not sure if the charging works. Indeed it shows charging but sometimes it magically reaches 100% rather quickly.
Because I suspected a battery fault I used another battery. let it drain completely and then tried to recharge. Can't - when booting it shows a battery icon with question mark and then goes to show that the battery is 100% charged. Then the question mark and then 100% again. Seems to be in some sort of loop.
I've done the factory reset, I had a new firmware installed via Odin just in case. The problem still remains.
Booting the device seems to be an issue and only work with charger or USB cable attached. Ot it will be in that "what battery" and "100% charge" cycle...
I've searched high and low today but couldn't find anyone with the same problem.
Have any of you an idea? Really down't want to get a new phone! Seems to be a very bad month going on because a few weeks ago I had really serious issues with my brand new hybrid camera which i have to buy ... again! sold it for parts for pocket money....
Any help would be really appreciated! thanks!
That's really strange....try getting out the battery, charge it to max va an external charger,or borrow a friend's Galaxy S2.Leave the phone withou battery for an hour. Then when you put it in,go to recovery, and "wipe battery stats"(Root it if it's not).See if that works.

How long have you had the phone? The usb flex cable has issues over time. A symptom of this is the charging when not connected to the charger.
If it is this issue the part is cheap (around 5$ I believe).

[Q] Charging notification sound after Amber update

After the Amber update both my phone and my wife's phone randomly will play the "charging" notification sound when sitting on the wireless charging pad. The screen also lights up. This is annoying in the middle of the night. Is anyone else seeing this?

The new update changed the sensitivity to the position that the phone is on the charger. It has to be dead center now or it will not link right.By dead center I mean equal amounts of the phone overhang front and back.

I was very careful to place the phone centered on the pad and it still does it. Do you have a link to an article about this change?

No just from my own experience. Mine did it at first but I noticed I had not centered it. After centering it, it quit. I also noticed it now chimes or makes a notice when it reached full charge. No way to disable from what I see.
I've noticed that the wireless charging will eventually stop (seemingly after the phone is fully charged and has been sitting on the charger for a while) and the phone will power itself from the battery. So, for example, if it were to reach full charge during the night, in the morning it may be at 90% even though it's still sitting on the charger. Has anyone else noticed this?

I only had this issue with a third party charger. When using the nokia charging plate, this issue does not arise. I can see no battery drain in the battery app for the time periods in which the phone was on the nokia charging plate.

My phone continues to play the notification sound and turn on the screen several times during the night. I am wondering if it is chiming when it reaches 100% and then it stops charging, looses some charge, turns back on and then chimes at 100% again. I checked the phone and it was quite hot. This is annoying and I now have set it to vibrate so it doesn't wake me up. Nokia/Microsoft needs to fix this.

Mine was doing that but if I place it on the charger so that the bottom edge with the speakers line up with the same edge of the charger end with the LED then the phone will stay quite all night. I really think the new update raised/lowered the sensitivity of the proximity/nfc sensor in the phone.

Well, you can either shutdown the watch (if that's an option) or uncheck "display always on" in the settings
Even with uncheck display, it still stays lit while on charger. I hope they add the option to turn it completely off in a future update.
i tried also to turn off when charging, but no luck. it turns on immediately. i tried to put it turned off in cradle ..--> starts.. turned ON and turned off during charging in cradle, same issue. it starts. there is no way to charge it turned off.
There is an option in the developers menu to turn this off and on, on the watch tap on software version 7 times and it will give you Dev settings
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
yes, but when the option is OFF , the screen is not 100% off.
and i also tried to switch the watch OFF during charging and no result
The only way i have managed to turn screen off whilst charging is to go into gear manager and toggle the screen always on option. This needs to be done after it has been put on charge and you will need to do this each time you charge the watch.

obviouslly you cant shut the watch off while charging since putting it in the cradle is the way to turn it on. i charged the watch in the cradle all nite and this morning it only registered 67% battery level. how is that possible? am i doing something wrong?

Slumber is only a partial solution since it doesn't really turn off the screen completely.
Instead it just shows nothing on the screen (but its still on)
Wait? It keeps the screen on during charge? Mine was off while on the cradle, I guess it didn't charge. Which explains why the battery is almost dead.
I've been on battery for 29 hours and have 15% left, not too shabby.
Has anyone found a better solution for this yet? I find this the most frustrating part of this watch.

I agree, this is an option that should be in Android Wear and not depend on other apps.
I use Slumber and I like it very much. At least the screen is muted, although it does still glow while charging.
I'm working on a watchface of my own and I hope to include a feature to put the watch into Theater mode when charging, but at this point I'm not even sure if that is possible programatically.
Just turn on Teather Mode. Perhaps its possible to automate it using tasker?

G watch is frozen.

Looked at my watch and noticed the time was about an hour off.. The watch is completely frozen. I've tried placing it on the charging dock, also pressing the reset button for up to 30 seconds. And looking within the android wear app for a restart option all to no avail. Anyone know how to restart it?

Is the display still on? Maybe once the battery dies you can get it to reboot on the charger. Keep us posted!

Yes the display is still on. I was hoping to not have to wait for it to die.. Ugh but thanks!
Solved (well kinda): letting the device drain the battery over night and when I woke up the screen was black.. Placed it on the charger and all seems good now. I just wish there was a way to restart it without having to let it die.. Luckily I was home all day yesterday.. But if it would have froze while I was at work I would have been without it all day. That's kinda scary because I need a watch at work in my profession.

Look on the back. There is a hole where u can stick a paperclip or something same in to reset
my watch seems died. Left it on the charging cradle all night long, this morning i found it off with no way to turn it on. Placing on the cradle again shows the full battery icon, but the screen is totally black. Tried to use the little button on the back of the watch for about 10 sec with no results... any suggest but rma?

update: seems like the charger i use no longer charge my gwatch. I connected the watch to my pc with another usb cable, and after some seconds it boots up
battery was completely drained (0%) so that's the cause of the problem. now, i tried to charge my phone with the same charger i use for the watch and it seems ok, so i'll probably have to discover why it didn't charge my watch until battery gone 0%...
