Good afternoon guys, you know if you currently supports miracast rom option ??
According to and read is starting from version 4.2.2.
No kernel or if installing some mod would be possible, or some kind AOSP rom, CM12 etc ..
Would be to connect to a SmarTV lg, wifi direct if you can but for the miracast no.
a greeting
Sony Mobile is committed to supporting the open developer community, and one way to show this is by publishing parts of our code as well as selected tools developed by our internal developers.
For some of the Xperia™ devices, we provide Android™ Open Source Project (AOSP) device configurations on GitHub. This means that the software will be open for you as a developer to use and contribute to. This is a way for us to support the open Android community, and it is also a tool for us to facilitate and verify contributions to AOSP.
If you want to build AOSP for your unlocked Xperia device, you find all the resources you need in the sections below.

2016-04-22: AOSP Marshmallow binaries for Android 6.0 and AOSP Lollipop binaries for Android 5.1 updated with improved connectivity, stability and camera functionality. We’ve also added the second camera actuators for Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z4 tablet. In addition, we’ve added the camera actuator for the Xperia Z5 family for Android 6.0.

Question, will there be a kernel 4.4 for the Z5P?
Or is there a "guide"/link to where/how to build your own for the Z series?

Hi everyone,I'm wondering if there is any way to let nougat apps to be support in marshmallow.i want to update some of Samsung's apps, but my role is android 6.0,and all new apps only support 7.0 or up
so is there any way to make these apps to be support in android 6.0?thanks for help.
sorry for my bad English
Hi Team,
We've an Android App that has the latest Apk leveraging and compatible with features of Android 6.0 and above.
But our customer base has a lot of Tablets running on Android 5.1.1.
Unfortunately, these are not up-gradable to 6.0 as the Devices' highest install-able version is 5.1.1
This is a big issue if the client has to purchase new tablets with V6.0 or above.
Please suggest a plugin component or tool that can be bundled with 6.0 Apk that would make the App work on v5.1.1 Tablets or a work-around solution other than forcing the clients to buy new tablets or our team to rollback the new Apk
Thanks
Hi, I'm after a newer android version to support some apps that have dropped android v7 support (ie Slack).
Any way to do this on z5 compact?
