Hey all,
I posted this to Other Smartwatches as it is more of a general guide for Android/GSM variants, but I use an Omate so it works specifically with it. Check it out if you're interested!

With all the new head units that are "iphone like interface", who is going to be the first to hack android for these devices? Possibly someone will get smart and create a nice head unit with Android, but I don't think it's likely.
I saw an Android one on the web yesterday. Over $700 and it was Chinese text. Sorry but I don't know the url.
Carputers are common and easy these days and off the shelf orderable... Google "Carputer MP3" and with the recent addition of tablets we can do better than any OEM Setup with a little effort... a majority of stuff available is suuuper capable too

Hey guys,
I'm from the Atrix forums and plan to bring a mod for you guys. This will make your lapdock completely native, no need for your phone. It's for those who are interested.
I know that it's in the Atrix forums, but I figured that any phone that had the lapdock could use it.
It's in the Planning Stage atm, and I could use some help from you guys too! (Please read red text)
So here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666166
Note: I wont be visiting here often, just to update the thread from time to time, so please post in the thread linked above.

This is a mobile device development site, not a site for domestic dispute issues. And we don't discuss hacking other peoples accounts or devices here.
I suggest counseling, not XDA, to solve your issues.

I hope this is the right forum.
Been lurking for a long time. Next month I will need an app for my Casio BLE watch (not a smartwatch).
The app would require investigation on communication since I have no documentation.
I know it's possible because there already exist a few app that do that, however for different Casio model.
Where would you post such an offer?
I've tried fiverr, to no avail.

I never heard of them, but those watches seem pricey to me (and I hate wearing a watch).
Since you're talking about a specific model the developer would need one.
Now, if you had a case of these watches and you could trust somebody, then I'd say offering a watch to somebody to develop an app for it could work.
Still, to make a fancy app to your spec is a ton more work than knocking off some quick-and-dirty watch link.
Bluetooth can usually be pretty easy to reverse engineer, especially if you have a similar Android app to disassemble.
