Hi forum,
I wanted to upgrade my note to lollipop, and since my phone was rooted I decided it was a good time to factory reset and start fresh. Before this, however, I had Lucky Patcher's modded play store installed and even after a full factory reset initiated on the phone, the modded play store is still installed. What is the way to get the normal play store back on my phone? Also my phone will not allow me to check for software updates for another day since I rebooted the phone while the update was downloading. All help is greatly appreciated!

You are out of luck here. No help with anything to do with lucky patcher is found here. It is banned on the site.
Only advise I will give is to flash a factory rom to your device and stay away from lucky patcher.

I rooted my tablet S and used the AiO tool to install ICS, did this a a few months ago.
One thing that doesn't work is I can't buy anything on the Play market, I get an error message. In addition for some reason I can't upgrade to the recent ICS r1a upate.
I thought I'd update using the official update. Hopefully getting back a working Play market again. I kniow I'll lose root but can then follow the recent root instructions for ICS.
So before doing anything, I assume I need to turn on OTA notification using AiO first, is that all I need to do? Should I look out for anything. Any advice much appreciated.
Try this..

Seeing as you have root, use something like Titanium Backup if the normal App browser cant help you.. try clearing the cache data and wiping your Play stores data as well as some of the other google services.. then if prompted it should permit you to download apps.. u can also use the AiO tool to hack your play store so u can install other apps
best of luck
but if you are set on reflashing your Tab, reactivation the notifications should do the trick, im not too sure bout regaining root after that though

Followed this method, but first changed region to US and got the most recent ICS update. Then ran the automatic ICS root method and worked first time, got root back :good: was very easy
For some reason lost the Play market app, so ran the modded market option from the AiO tool and got it back. Not tried to buy anything yet.

The R5? It is pretty awesome. Better than R1A's worth the region change for me

Yes now on r5, looks pretty good:good:
Still got a problem with the play store, can't buy anything. Tried clearing data etc makes no difference. Notice I'm still on v3.5.19 so tried to install latest apk but that fails get a message that says 'Application not installed. An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed'.
So wonder if this problem is related to not being able to buy from the store.
Any ideas how to get round this, wondered whether I need to restore tablet to factory settings a try again

Have you tried AIO to installed moded play store?
I installed the modded store when I initially rooted the tablet and think that was the start of the problem. Then ever since I've not been able to buy from the store using the app.
So I've tried to update it to the latest version but without success. Get an error message every time.
I am attempting to root my SPrint HTC EVO 4g LTE with software version 1.13.651.1 710RD. my hardware version is 0003.
Ok, my phone is currently normal. Normal meaning no Root, no S-OFF, no nothing. its completely factory. I am trying to root it and am stuck because i have questions, and i have scoured this site and the internet and can not find my answers ANYWHERE. Here are my problems...
I am trying to root my device with the one-click-root that i found on this site. Before rooting, it tells me to back up my device with Titanium or another method. However... i cannot use Titanium unless my phoone is ROOTED so how is this possible?? How can i possibly back up my phone when im not even rooted yet?
Also, it says to clear my google wallet settings. When i go to google wallet, it says this app is not yet supported on my service or device... how do i clear my google wallet settings if i cant even access them? Ive looked on other sites telling me to change my phone into thinking its another device but it all requires a ROOT!!
Please help, ive been so frustrated that i want to just chuck my phone at the wall.
I managed to install all the drivers required to connect my phone and my computer.
All im asking is how do i back up my phone without a root and how do i clear my google wallet settings without a root?
1) I think Titanium Backup actually does allow for backing up some stuff without root access now. Otherwise just bite the bullet and start fresh. You only have to start fresh once. After that you can backup your apps with Titanium Backup for future events.
2) If you've never setup Google Wallet than you have nothing to clear. You'll be fine.

If GWallet says unsupported and you haven't opened it ever then don't worry about it. There's some new feature with TBackup that let's you backup apps without root. I haven't tried it and idk if it's just with the pro version. If you don't care about backing up anything and can reinstall all your apps later then don't worry about it. You might lose texts that you have sent tho.
Edit: louched beat me to it...

So, after purchasing my S4 I went right to rooting and flashing Google Play Edition. After a few days I decided I'm not really enjoying the hardware and want to bring it back before the 14-day return period is up and wait for the Moto X. (I am very impulsive, I'm sorry.) After restoring the stock OS my phone updated to the latest firmware and lost root. The phone looks practically untouched except for the unlocked "custom" padlock icon that appears at boot. Now, I have successfully rerooted according to this new rooting process that just became available (hooray!) and am curious if there's a method to removing this icon so I can return it. If not, will this present a problem when I bring it back to the VZ store?
There is an app called triangle away in the play store, its paid.

I am weary. Every time there is an update, I have to do hours of research to find the latest work-around to carry my rooted phone into the next version. Now with the advent of the ISIS wallet, my phone did not want to allow me to use the app because it detected my phone was rooted. I've had enough; I just want to return my phone to the factory rom, so that future updates are less of a hassle for me.
My Verizon Note II phone is running Android Version 4.1.2. It was rooted using the Team Win Recovery Project rom with ODIN. Yesterday, I unrooted my phone using Chainfire's SuperUser app. My phone appears to be working normally and there are nearly no signs that it was ever rooted in ODIN Mode. The only giveaway is that TWRP bootup is still there. I cannot successfully update my phone to the next version, and I believe the TWRP bootup has something to do with that. I want to return my phone to factory default. I thank you for any assistance you can provide me with this.

jcollier, thank you so much for the reply. I visited the thread you mentioned. I'm going to use the information I gathered there to attempt to restore my phone to factory default. The only problem I ran into there is that the link for the 4.1.2 VRAMC3 rom is not working (something about too many downloads and trying again in 24 hours). I really don't want to wait that long just to see if the message will change. I've since gone to the sammobile.com website to see if I can glean something usable from there. Thank you again for your help.
Awhile ago i rooted for the google play store, but i am sick of all the random, stuff that keeps.coming up, and want to go back.to normal, i installed the update prevention thing, and was wondering if someone could point me to the steps for updating my kindle, preferably without a factory reset.

You could use KFHDX toolkit to reenable updates and then upgrade to a higher version. but keep in mind there is no way to rollback on your own currently
