Hard bricked (bootloop) - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I have a bootloop I think...or hard bricked device. I gave a wipe data reset, cache, dalvik cache, after reboot , I enter in the configuration of software . After 5-10 sec. the phone restarts and is blocked on samsung logo. For flashing with new firmware via odin, i don t have chances because usb device is not recognized...I tried other usb cables, I have driver for the device, all methods I tried...still is not recognized. I tried on another PCs. show the same thing. Any sugestions?

Are you sure that you've installed the driver correctly? Check in device manager and you should see your phone in device manager (if your PC even detects your phone). You should install the usb driver manually by downloading the samsung usb drivers and then ODIN should be able to detect your phone. If your PC can not even recognise the device, there is a chance that the phone's usb port is stuffed up, so you will have to repair it before fixing your phone.

[Q] USB mode

Hello Android users I have one problem with my phone so i need your advice.
Yesterday i installed new software 4.1.2 For my baltic region SEB i did factory reset before and after also by mistake i did wipe cache partition,
So today when i tried to connect my phone via usb in phone i see that it's are charging but on my computer there are no efects. But when i turn on downloading mode odin software finds the phone and see it.
I tryed reinstalling KIES also turning on debugin USB, reinstalling oldest firmware but there is no changes and my phone cant connect with usb to phone. Have you any advices ? :crying:
Wipe cache has no effect. Make sure your computer-side drivers are ok and check the cable (even if it works in download mode)
Remove the drivers completely if unsure and optionally reinstall them manually.

[Q] I9100G not recognized by Odin after flashing Custom ROM

Hi there,
I tried to flash CM 10.1 on my friend's Samsung Galaxy SII I9100G. I followed the Tutorial from the CM's wiki, but it didn't worked because I got errors from Heimdall. After a few minutes with google I tried Odin and it worked without any Problems. After flashing cm-10.1-20130304-EXPERIMENTAL-i9100g-M2.zip and related gapps the phone was stuck in a bootloop. After 10 minutes I pulled out the battery and plugged it back in. Since then, the phone always booted into recovery automatically. And I'm able to boot into download mode aswell.
But the phone isn't recognized by Odin or any other tool. I've reinstalled the samsung phone drivers serveral times. I tried it with Kies, without Kies, with driver packages from XDA.. Nothing worked. If I remove the battery and hold Vol Down+Home+Power while plugging in the USB cable my PC recognizes some devices but cannot install the driver because after 2 seconds the devices is unplugged again.
I think the battery is too low to establish a USB connection. I will charge the battery tomorrow at work and give it another try.
Any advice for the whole problem? Is it all related to the low battery?
Kind regards
fzninuse
Clean uninstall Kies (your uninstaller pro or similar), then reinstall.
Got a laptop laying around? Try that instead.

A clean reinstall of Kies didn't helped.. Even it isn't recognized on another PC. Because I can access recovery mode (CWM) and download mode I guess it's no brick.. just an driver issue?! I tried several USB Ports and USB cables.. nothing helped..
Can it be caused by a wrong kernel? Is it possible to flash a kernel with CWM?
Of course, flash the zip version of the kernel.
Make sure it's neant for I9100G

Even after flashing another kernel the phone boots directly into recovery..
After trying several ROMs and Kernels I guess it's a bootloader failure.. Because there is no possibillity to flash a new bootloader via CWM and I get no USB connection, I am screwed... =/
No you are not, keep trying.
Other(s) PC might do the trick.
Also get a couple of Odin versions.
Get new cables, genuine s2s that is.
And keep reinstalling kies.
I tried it with another USB cable and connected the phone without the battery. Now I get a "OMAP4430" Device in the device manager which disappears after 2 seconds and reappers 5 seconds later and after 2 seconds it's gone again.. Why the processor is recognized by my PC and not the smartphone itself?!
I will try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1701471&page=3
Setting up a XP VM right now..
try removing kies completely and install only the drivers
also get a new usb and try connecting to a different port
also do u have ur phone in warranty ?

[Q] Help - Unbrick Pantech Sky A810

I have install pantech sky A810 recovery ported from another device, after wipe, I cannot mount any thing such as sdcard, data, cache, boot.
My device can run in fastboot, so I decide install older recovery that work on device before, but unlucky, kernel panic appear.
I try to upgrade factory firmware by access SW download, unfortunately my device only turn on logo, then it turn off, at that time, my PC appear Qualcomm HS-USB port. I think that my device already bricked. But I wonder why, what happened with my phone? Perhaps recovery lead to wrong partition table. If like that, any chance to re-partition it?
At the moment, I only access device by fastboot.

[Q] LG P760 not detected in windows with USB debugging ON

I tried to flash another ROM using CWM, but it failed. I did factory reset a few times, deleted cache, dalvik cache and data also a few times and now it is not detected in Windows anymore with USB debugging enabled. All drivers are installed and up to date. Remember that it was easily detected before I tried to flash other ROMs. Ah, I also tried to unlock the bootloader, but I think that it failed as well.
Can anyone help with this issue?

Galaxy S2 - GT-I9100 - Bricked - Flashing Samsung logo

Hello,
My phone died two evenings ago and now won't get any further than the flashing Samsung logo when booting up. I have tried:
- different batteries,
- leaving the phone with no battery in for hours before retrying
- going into download mode, but device is not recognised by Kies (although does appear under devices and printers as Samsung_Android)
- going into recovery mode and attempting ADB but again device is not recognised by Kies
- going into recovery mode and accessing CWM-based recovery v.6.0.1.4 (CWM-non-touch-6.0.1.4-i91000.zip) but restore fails due to an MD5 mismatch (??)
If the phone is totally tanked that's fine, I'll do a factory reset, but I would if possible at least like to be able to get last few months of photos off the phone before wiping and starting again.
Any suggestions for help?
Thank you :good:
try installing your ROM via recovery from the SD card wipe chache, dalvik, install the kernel you had, wipe cache, dalvik and reboot, worked for me with a similar problem
Flash cwm or trp recovery, and you can mount your internal & sd memory from recovery , then you can copy your files to pc first! Then your can resolve your problem! dont look for phone in devices and printers!!! go to device manager and check your usb cable, usb ports!
Also I had this problem, here is how I've solved it:
Reinstall USB Drivers
Turn off the device
Boot in download mode
Flash a stock firmware via ODIN
Reboot
