Delegated inboxes were working just fine in KitKat, and even in KitKat on the Lollipop Gmail APK.
As soon as I move to Lollipop (both on a new Nexus 9, and installing Lollipop on the same HTC One M8 that was running KitKat, and then running the Lollipop Gmail app on KitKat), the delegated Gmail account stops showing up inside the gmail app.
This also worked fine on my GNex before my M8.
This is... problematic for work to say the least. Anyone know why this is, or have a solution to this problem?

Hello.
Since this morning I started to experience a strange issue. It seems like my gmail is synced only one way.
I have Nexus 5 running Cyanogenmod 11 M3, Android 4.4.2.
If there is a new email sent to my gmail account, I get proper notification and I see the mail. I then go and delete that email (or mark it as read). My inbox does not have this email anymore. I refresh the mail, make sure everything is synced. Now if I open web gui of gmail on my computer, I still see that email there unread. If I go back to phone gmail, I don't see that email in my Inbox (or sometimes I do), but I can see it in priority mail box or under "all mail". It seems that whatever change I do on phone client is not properly synced back to server.
The same issue manifests also on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, running CM 10.2. It does not happen on my very old HTC Desire Z, running CM4.
I have not changed anything, it started to happen this morning. Any change done through computer web client is synced correctly. I have no idea what is going on. Does Gmail service have some issue? Anyone else experiencing it?
Thanks.
I think the first thing to clarify is whether or not you're using the native GMail app or have set up GMail through and alternative e-mail app (i.e.: Enhanced E-mail).

Sorry, I am using native app.
It seems that I also can not send any mail. It gets stuck in outbox, saying "Sending", but it is never sent.

The camera issue is among known problems with CM11 and since CM11 stable was not released yet, it is ok. I am sure that stable version will have this problem resolved.
Clear data for gmail. Settings > Apps > Gmail. You will not lose any settings, it will just delete your email from the phone and re-sync.

Thanks for the suggestion, the issue resolved itself today on both phones. I guess there was some problem on Google side.
Hey XDA-Members!
I recently got my Note 10.1 2014 LTE and i love it (Since i updated to Kitkat :laugh
I hope I'm not alone with that issue or at least someone could help me out.
Whenever i'm clicking on a notification about an new Email the email app crashes.. It just says "Email stopped" with an OK Button.
I've configured 2 POP3 accounts.
I'm currently on rooted Stock 4.4.2 Version P605XXUCNF2..
Does Someone have the same problem? Or maybe can you recommend me another email app similar to the stock one (i pretty much like the stock one.. )
thank you in advance

go to Settings --> Applications --> All, and locate both Samsung email apk and exchange apk, clear data and caches on both, reboot your tablet. once your tablet reboots, setup your email account again and try.
Hi,
I was wondering what options are there in AOSP 5.1 roms to have my Microsoft Exchange email account up 'n' running? I tried adding the latest Microsoft exchange services app, my account seems to be set up through Gmail app but in reality, no emails show up in any folder and whenever I manually synchronize there's an exchange services force close error... Do I need the old email app? And if so, do I also need the separate services app?
Thanks
I just installed com.google.android.gm.exchange-6.5-1729047-500065-minAPI19.apk and com.google.android.gm-5.1.89745174-51001549-minAPI14.apk from the Apkmirror. It works for me (Exchange 2010).
The first file you mention is the exact same file I installed as well. Not the second one though, could that be the reason it's FCing?
I had the same Problem with the previous gmail version now it disappeared. Google updated the gmail version in the play store yesterday. I think you can use that version also. It should be the same.
I installed the MS exchange services file but the problem seems to be with the gmail app. For some reason, I am running com.google.android.gm 5.0.1 1642443, doesn't sound right for a 5.1 rom does it?
Your version is the one from play store. My version is 5.1.89745174 from apkmirror try this one.

Exchange Services 6.5-1729047 mail sync overheating phone
My phone is overheating with the update to Exchange Services update (6.5-1729047) which I downloaded from APKMIRROR. I am also using Gmail 5.1.89745174 . I'm running CM12 nightly.
Exchange Services is taking upwards of 16% of battery. Had to disable mail sync to cool it down. Calendar and contacts seem to be working ok, but had to revert to Aquamail for email.
Anyone with similar experiences?
Hey All:
There seemed to have been some work in the past getting the AOSP E-mail Client up and running on Touchwiz, but I can't find any updated Lollipop AOSP files.
Does anybody know if we can get the Lollipop AOSP E-mail Client up and running on the S5 running (rooted, custom) Touchwiz roms? I'm looking for its Android Wear integration (and can't get Gmail's exchange abilities running).
Thanks for any help.

E-mail client It has been replaced by Gmail. You have to use gmail as a client also for account not google.
Unfortunately all that I get are crashes on Gmail when I sideload in the Exchange support. Are you sure that the AOSP client isn't available? Samsung still builds their custom version for lollipop; it just doesn't have decent Wear support.

He literally just told you gmail replaced the aosp email client. also the exchange support afaik was only needed to be sideloaded with the first few builds of that gmail update. since lollipop came out exchange can be done natively by the gmail app alone
EDIT:
I made a mistake gmail only nativley supports exchange on nexus devices. install this http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ge-services-6-5-1729047-android-apk-download/ to get it working

I should have been more clear to keep from getting flamed. I wasn't attacking him, I was just asking whether the two were still available simultaneously, in the same way as Hangouts hasn't fully replaced the Messenger application (and the latter has been released to the play store). I deserved that tone of a response.
Installing the Exchange Services and using Gmail to handle my Exchange account results in FC's of Gmail on boot and any time I try to access the Exchange account in Gmail. I'm on a Galaxy S5 (W8) running XTreStoLite (a stripped down but otherwise stock Touchwiz ROM). My hope was that AOSP is still around. If not, then maybe I'll try the Nine e-mail client.
No offense intended and glad someone came to the original responder's aide after my rude comment.

I'm switching from a Moto to Nexus shortly and was upset to see no more stock mail app, I am going to try the apk's from the above thread. Hope they will work, Gmail just isn't as good.
I am using a SM-925I. On Australian Telstra network.
I have been using the Gmail App for my email. Originally there was no option to setup MS Exchange accounts, so i had to install the Exchange Services 6.5-1729047
By Google Inc APK file.
Ever since doing an OTA upgrade to 5.1.1, Gmail has been dropping both my Exchange accounts and i have to Add them again. This is most annoying.
It may also have something to do with 360 Security App that i have always been using which optimises the battery and memory of Android OS.
Can anyone tell me why Gmail App is dropping the Exchange accounts??
Also got the same problem on my new S6 edge. Anyone find a solution to this?
I have tried factory reset.
And have tried deleting app cache.
Exchange accounts still disappear and need to be readded every 5 or hours.
Anybody able to comment?
I really want to use Gmail App for my Exchange based corporate email.
Ever since updating to 5.1.1 the Exchange accounts disappear after a few hours and need to be readded.
Trying APK Google Exchange Services for Google M Preview 3.
Will report back tomorrow.
Same thing happening to me:
Galaxy S6 on Android 5.1.1 (kernel version 3.10.61-5012324)
Gmail version 5.5.101116392
Exchange Services version 6.5-1791555
Have tried Exchange Services 5.0.100419619 (From M Preview 3) and this also deleted my Exchange Accounts after a few hours.
This is a major problem.
Are you guys rooted or have knox tripped? Deletes it for me too so trying to narrow it down on what may be causing it.
Guys, 'just want to report that the same thing is happening on Note 4 since upgrading to Samsung 5.1.1 rom, so guessing it's something with this manufacturer's customizations?
There seem to be some people also suffering in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/exchange-account-disappears-frequently-t3176427
As to evonc's question: I'm not rooted, nothing special done.
I'm not rooted either.
I am using 360 Security which clears my phone memory and preserves battery life. But have told it to ignore gmail and Google exchange services.
Sorry for the necro and cross-device post, but I'm on an S5 with XtreStoLite Unofficial 2.3 (5.0.2) and having the same issues. Exchange Services 6.5 and 5.0 from M both result in the death of my exchange account every so often.
1) Why is Exchange Services called 5.0 from M; is it an older version?
2) Any ideas on why this is happening? Maybe SeLinux?
