Hey, everyone. So I had rooted my Samsung Galaxy SIII (GT-19300) and had installed a custom ROM called Resurrection Remix. My mobile was working perfectly for over a week and it was turned off for the night by me. When I tried to turn it on, the display was just showing 'Resurrection Remix' (This happens everytime since it's a custom ROM.) after the Samsung Logo screen. However, the display did not go beyond that and so I removed my battery and reinserted it only to find my mobile completely dead now. It's not turning on no matter what I do. The mobile was fully charged and I'm sure that the battery isn't the issue. I connected it to the computer and nothing is detected. I felt that this was obvious. However, even if I connected the charger, my LED was not on. These are the things I tried:
1. Held the Power button for the usual time and then for about 30 seconds without plugging in the charger.
2. Held the Power+Volume Down+Menu button for for recovery mode a long time without plugging in the charger.
3. Tried the above steps after plugging in the charger.
4. Tried each step after removing the battery and reinserting for each step.
Basically, NOTHING WORKS! Please help me. This is same problem as the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911063
However, that thread was left unanswered as the person who posted the questions didn't mention correctly what and all he tried. I'm sure that I've mentioned it clearly. I know a little about what I did. I was the one who rooted the device manually with proper instructions and so following instructions isn't a problem for me. All I need is immediate help. Please help me.

Sounds like emmc failure, try a usb jig to force download mode but otherwise it's time for a new phone.
Read the dead boot recovery thread in general forum for more info.

I updated my phone (HD2 T-mobile) via internet website and when I finished the updating process, the phone did not work at all.
I tried more than once to switch it on, but it didn't respond. I took the battery out and put it in again, but nothing happened.
When I connect the phone with the charger, the charger light doesn't become on.
It seems that the phone is dead!!!. What do you suggest to solve this problem? If you think it is a hardware problem, what is the name of this hardware
Pleas don't open twice the same thread in different sections; this will not help you more!

Was working ok for a few weeks: Android 2.1. Did as you said. Nothing.
b4 this, there was a "warning" - on CONNECTING TO MICRO-USB POWER source, it would continual start the first screen, then reboot.
Once it did a soft reset ... but no longer. I have 3 new batteries, independent chargers, so it's not a battery fault.
Cross-board posting is not allowed. Duplicate threads are a prime example of this.

My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turns off and acts like it's charging and over and over again, even when the battery indicates that it's at more than half full.
Does anyone know what's happening? (no custom ROMs or anything, it's all standard btw). I took the battery out and everything and it still does the same thing when I put it back. I tried to do a factory reset, but the recovery mode screen always jumps away when I try to activate it (I press both Vol+ and Vol-, recovery mode screen comes up but goes instantly, then the phone goes into a boot loop again).
Please help, thank you!

Hi, I'd recommend sending the phone into warranty, add the phone isn't rooted, you can't do much.
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
Had same problem on 3 phones. This is a connection problem within the phone. Disassembly & cleaning contacts often helps for a while, but problem comes back. Bumping the phone on the side or top, often allows it to work properly, for a short while, and so does squeezing it, in certain places. Get a new one, since the problem will re-cur.
Hi guys,
Hoping there are some experts out there who have more wit and experience than I do with my phone :-/
Something very peculiar just happened to me. I got a Samsung Galaxy S Advance from my company, but since I have another phone I decided to upgrade it to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 using Odin to root it. Just like the poster above, Odin said "PASS" but didn't reboot my phone. Not even a flicker on the screen. When I try to boot it myself I see no activity that the phone is even charged or anything. The battery is charged, so I have no clue what could be wrong. What I've tried so far:
1)
Unplugged it and tried to boot it normally, didn't work. No sign of life.
2)
Took the battery hour for 1h+, boot normally, didn't work. No sign of life.
3)
Took the battery out for some time again, boot into download mode, didn't work. No sign of life.
4)
Take the battery out, put it in again. Hold down volume UP and volume DOWN simultaneously, power on. Didn't work
NOTE! When the phone is plugged into my PC and I do this, the computer makes a beep indicating something is being recognized as plugged into the computer, a second later it makes a beep indicating something was unplugged... nothing more happens.
Please help. I'm rather new to Android phones, and I would appreciate any assistance
Thank you

I replaced the battery on my samsung 10.1 note tablet. Followed the U-tube video, it was pretty simple. Plugged the tablet in and the charging battery icon came on. I waited a couple of hours and tried to turn it on, nothing happened. I have tried the on/off volume buttons, nothing happens. I have disconnected and reconnected several times the battery. I have put in the old battery nothing happens. I have no ideas. I will try anything, anyone have any ideas?
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

try to go on downloading mod or recovery mod
Hey all, I've searched a lot of threads over the past few days but haven't come up with anything specific. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S5 G900I with twrp 3 and cyanogenmod 13. I appear to have a bootloop / charging issue.
When the phone is turned off, if I plug in a charger it loads up the charger icon, makes i to the charging screen then reboots and does the same again, and again, and again....
If I simply turn the phone on via the power button it loads the OS and everything is fine, except the phone won't charge.
I'm at a total loss on understanding why the phone would enter a bootloop if I plug a charger cable in but not if I turn the power button on. Any ideas?
Note: the phone doesn't charge at all, isn't recognised by odin, samsung switch or windows and I have tried various usb ports, chargers and cabes. Factory reset via twrp and updated twrp.
Thanks for any help.
@DeviSpace Try changing battery and give a try, still having problem please let us know.

@Salman Al-Badgail Thanks, mostly replying out of courtesy. I've used multiple batteries to no avail. Also I have used my batteries in a separate device and had no issues with them. I believe the usb port is likely faulty and am content to externally charge batteries for the day.
