T-Mobile Jump! Credit Received - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I sent my Note 4 back to T-Mobile the afternoon of April 4th and just got my credit this morning.
I was a bit worried because the back camera had a hairline crack going across the middle of the glass and I also returned it without a back battery cover.
Anyone else get their credit yet?

Back Cover does NOT fit properly on my Note

Goes anybody else have this problem? I don't know why but the battery cover does not fit properly on the lower left side. 2 pins are visible and it creaks a lot when its moving around in my hands.
I went to an AT&T store to take a look at their display model and noticed the same thing.
No problem with mine. Are you sure it's fully seated? Lay it face down on a towel and run your finger all the way around the edge applying some pressure and see if it doesn't snap into place. I know from experience that it can look seated, but still need a little more of a push to get it all the way there.
There's not much the forum can so for you, just take it back.

Take it off and snap the pins in from the bottom up.

Mine is the same for sure, I have taken it off and tried to realign and it makes absolutely no difference. It creaks the most by the volume rocker, fairly annoying! I suppose I'll have to return mine as well then.

There were quite a few pre orders that had this issue

I took mine back to the AT&T retail store and they told me they could exchange the battery cover IF they got some returns back but after checking 3 AT&T stores Ive found that they are all sold out of the Galaxy Note and have no returns.
The second option they offered me was to wait until AFTER the 30 day period (yeah right) and go to the AT&T tech support store and see what they can do for me (yeah, like that's going to help)
So finally I told them that they should waive the activation fee while I look/wait for a solution.
Wow...if you call warranty they direct you to go to the store and have it exchanged. That is actually the policy listed online

Mine is the same way, three pins on the left side just wont snap into place and my back pops off occasionally. I haven't decided if im going to keep it or exchange it yet.
I put one of the metal like covers on the back and the clips dont line up right on it. I tried to shorten the misalligned clips to fit but anytime i tried to shorten one the whole clip popped off. Theres still enough to hold it on, but not as secure as my OEM one, which fits like a glove. So if these were modeled after some of the early backs, I can see why your having trouble as it had the exact gaps you are speaking of befoe I went all macgyver on it. I am sure OEM is better quality, but i would still recommend AGAINST my method of altering the clips unless it's your last ditch attempt before buying a recplacement back.

Oh yuck! I am soooo paranoid I am going to break mine, I just got it tonight and the protector is coming in the mail. I might leave it at home and just keep using the Droid 4 in the mean time until it comes in.
Have you seen if there are any "phone fix it" shops that can replace the glass that is cracked? (I am assuming it is the glass that is cracked and not the screen itself, right?) My coworker dropped his Rezound and shattered the glass and got it replaced for a little over $100. Granted, the Rezound is a smaller phone, but it might not be much more. It will be cheaper than a new phone, that's for sure. Also, my IT manager just cracked his GS3 and replaced the glass himself with a heatgun and only spent $27 for the new glass and the tools needed, if you think you can do it yourself.
Unfortunately, I cracked mine as well. Landed face flat on a concrete floor as I was pulling it out. I didn't have my case on like a moron, so it's my own fault. Because I don't have insurance I was planning on calling Samsung to see how much the repair would cost, but I'm worried about the price because of the Wacom digitizer. It'd also make repair from local shops harder to do. What do you guys think?
I just contacted Samsung for a friend a couple weeks ago and the screen repair with parts and labor was just over 190 bucks. You can get a quote using the Samsung online chat, just have your emei number ready because they use that to generate the quote.
Edit: He already got his phone back and it appears they just gave him a new one. I think he was only without it like 10 days or so.
I know how you feel. Mine fell out of my purse when I got out of the car. I had on a wallet style case that leaves the top and bottom exposed. It flew open when it dropped. The chrome ring has a huge ding and screen crack on the bottom right. Everything works fine. It's just painful emotionally.
Here's what I found. Radio Shack can repair them. It has to be sent out. $70.00 to $90.00 for the glass, the chrome would be a little extra. Takes a couple weeks. They offer a lifetime warranty against defects (not droppage).
Another local cell phone company can do it on site. You pay a deposit, they order the parts and get them within 2 days, $290.00.
I didn't check with Samsung, but from this thread, it looks like it's worth checking with them also.

i have the same style case and mine flung open and left it all exposed, i basically have the same style damage as you.
Thanks everyone for your insight! helps a lot. i will go to radio shack or check out samsung shortly!
Just get on eBay you can get the glass and digitizer for around $200. Then its easy to fix from there. Also I suggest an urban armor gear case, I dropped mine from about chest level it bounced and landed face down I thought for sure it broke. Picked it up the case has a few scuffs but the phone is perfect plus this case isn't as bulky as otter box.

If you have always carried insurance with verizon, i would ask to speak with a supervisor. I have had insurance with vzw since the blackberry days. When i purchased a thunderbolt off contract a couple of years ago, i activated it in the store and the rep took my insurance off my line. A few months later the phone fell and broke. I was told i did not have insurance and i made mention that i have always carried insurance. The end result was they added insurance back on my line and vzw sent me a replacement phone.

LG G3 RA Experience

I haven't been on in the past few weeks, but I would like to share an experience with all of you.
21 days after I bought my phone I noticed a gap between the screen and the outer bezel of my phone. The screen was turning brown due to pressure on the center right side of the screen, about 2 inches in length and 1/2 in wide. I finally got the strength to get an RA number from LG and sent my phone out on Aug 23. :crying:
Throughout the process, updates were terrible. I was reading all of the reviews for LG's RA service and was becoming discouraged the entire time my phone was gone. The website would state "Unit being repaired" and that's all the information it gave. Finally I called on the 3rd and asked what was going on. Customer Service stated they were replacing the screen and the Sim Card slot (Never had issues with my Sim) I got an email Friday the 5th stating FedEx has my phone and its being shipped.
Today FedEx arrived at my home and I got my phone back :good: I opened the box and to my surprise the bezel and screen were brand new! I opened up the Spigen Ultra Crystal Screen Protector and put it on immediately, and put the phone in my new Ultra Fit case (Which is amazing)
Long story short, LG went all out. Their website does need some improvement but I got my phone fixed at no cost (besides 10$ USPS shipping) Thank you LG!

Help appreciated

I searched the forum and didn't see a good place to post so forgive me if this is redundant...
I just picked up the Z2 at Verizon about 2 weeks ago. And I have been loving it, I ended up dumping my Xperia Z3v for a Turbo 2 and was missing a lot of the Sony functionality so I got the tablet to help... But I dropped it tonight about 3 feet onto tile. Upon inspection I noticed a scratch on the screen (no screen protector yet) then I looked closer and noticed the scratch ran the length from about the middle top to the middle left. Basically a crack thru the whole thing. Anything I can do??? Will Sony's warranty do anything for a less than 2 week old tablet? Will Verizon?
I ordered a tempered glass protector and a rugged case for it tonight on amazon prime so I'll have that in a couple days but not sure if that'll help or not... I'm loving this tablet so I really hope I can get a replacement. Just wanted to get some input from the community, any advice/help is appreciated

Question Did yours come with a factory fitted screen protector? Getting mine today from EE :)

Hi, I have had a text saying my S23 Ultra is being delivered today, which is great and ahead of originally planned.
Can anyone tell me if their phone come with a factory fitted screen protector, or does the S23 not have one?
Regards
James
The is no screen protector on S23U.
no - just the black sticker
No screen protector on the one I received from T-Mobile last week.
No screen protector on S23U in Bulgaria either. The only protection you get is the plastic peels on the metal frame - everything else you have to pay for.
EE sent me a S23+ today instead of an Ultra. Yay.

Yeah until someone figure it out I will give them chance tomorrow to sort it out
In Sweden ( bought in Samsung store) comes without factory screen protector
I bought 2 of them, one is for family member
Packed with soft screen foil and the other one without
Mine came with an ass looking protector - with a giant hole in the middle, it supposed to be like that, they said to me because of the fingerprint reader. C'mon Samsung. I threw it in the bin immediately.
Not having a screen protector is part of the screaming lie "Samsung is saving the planet" ....15 tons saved for MILLIONS of phones...amounts to nothing.
Let me show you how much plastic I got buying screen protectors from Scamazon... probably 100g going straight to the landfill.
Imagine if I also bought a charger...
People are SO gullible...so many reviews praise Scamsung for caring about the environment, when the absolute opposite is true.
