I need a little help with customizations. I know that there isn't big differences between customizations, just bloatware and baseband version. I want the best customization for my country and operator. I live in Hungary and my operator is T-Mobile and my phone is from Hong Kong and now I use Nordic Combined. Then what cust should I use? customized HK or T-Mobile HU or what?
no difference aside radio adaptations for each carrier or country and also the bloat
as far as i know

Lumia 920 has lot f firmware out there, which is by far the best one? When I say best, it's the cleanest with no much local apps and yet all function fully enabled.
For instance, the Philippine firmware (059R616) is quite limited in function, I noticed the Nokia Blue tile color is missing in themes and 4G can't be chosen as highest connection speed, and hard reset is in English
While for Hong Kong Firmware (059Q805) it has both 4G as highest connection speed and has the Nokia Blue tile color, on the other hand, it has some local apps which I think are not so much of interest if you're not a HK resident, and of course, every hard reset will be in Chinese as default language.
Sad to say, Philippine version is still left behind at 1249 update, while Hong Kong Version is already at 1308. Checked Navifirm and Philippine Version has no 1308 yet.
Guys
New to this forum and need a bit of advice pretty quickly please.
I have been looking for a gear s for a couple of months now.
I am in Hong kong airport right now and they have them in one of the retail outlets.
Problem is I travel quite a bit between UK, Canada and Australia.
If I buy this watch here will I be able to use it in these countrys with different sims ( I have a different sim for each country with voice and data).
Your quick response would bevery much appreciated
You can't use it in Canada, US, Mexico because of the different frequency bands that non-US version doesn't support. Australia uses a mixture of North America frequency (mainly 850MHz) and rest of world frequency (900/1800MHz) bands. So, depends which band your particular Australia carrier uses, it may or may not work.
Gear S is not a true world phone due to its dual-band limitation.
is there any difference between them?
I was just about to post this very question.
AL00 is China Unicom. While TL00 is either China Telecom or China Mobile, not sure.
"The telecommunications industry in China is dominated by three state-run businesses: China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile. "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_industry_in_China
If you are buying from China (i.e., from all re sellers), confirm all network bands are suitable to your country and make sure dual sim, dual 4g and other network issues are intact and not removed.
Also even though resellers give choice for international rom, im not sure if that device will receive OTA updates anymore as these phones are not international release versions and so because of difference in rom and model no. the OTA updates might no longer be received. So better to confirm before a purchase.
Recently samsung changed the market of exynos to snapdragon in the Latin countries losing 100% compatibility, so some doubts arise, but mainly with the compatibility of firmwares. So:
I need help, someone to solve a question, is the variant China (CHC) and Hong Kong (TGY) compatible with the SM-G9650 variant of Mexico (MXO) or do they have any change that prevents their installation?
100% compatibility is a bit much lol.. with multi csc you should be able to use the snaps just about anywhere in the world..
you also have more possibilities if u unlock the bl..
with that being said, they have similar model names and chipsets but i wouldnt know lol im stuck on a usa snap
I live in Australia and I know there's carrier firmware for Optus, Telstra, Vodaphone, and just XSA for Australia I would like to know if Optus, Telstra, Vodaphone specifically tune there modem files they provide in there firmware, so using Optus firmware with Optus sim card provides a better reception, battery life network speeds, then say using XSA with a modem that's for all Australia and no specific network intended.
I've also read someone suggesting sometimes carriers don't update there modem files they just stick with one that they found to work throughout a phones lifetime, uncertain how true untrue this statement was.
Thanks.
