Does anyone else notice lag when using some of the Google apps? I notice it most in Chrome, but I also notice it in Google Now, and even the play store when scrolling. Also, scrolling in Facebook and Instagram feels... off. Like it's too heavy or something. Maybe I'm just used to the iPhone 6 Plus where it's smooth.
Yeah, I definitely am experiencing lag when using Google apps that would otherwise be smooth as butter on other devices, like my Moto X 2014 and even my Nexus 5. I especially notice this with Chrome and Hangouts.
I use the built in cleaner and consistently close all my apps but no avail.
This helped my lag in chrome:

Hi,
i noticed that the Google PlayStore loads very very slow. But it's not my internet conncection because the chrome browser loads very quickly. You maybe also heard about the facebook app is also very slow. Yes in my case it's also very slow (Fast and other FB clients also very slow). If i go into the front of my router the FB app and the PlayStore loads quickly.
My Question is how can this be?? The one thing loads quick and the other slow in the same place??
Does anyone else noticed that?
Here is a video of showing the PlayStore compared chrome:

On Nexus 5 running android 5.0.2 euphoria but it is also on the stock image and also on another nexus 5.
Using a w-lan repeater
Maybe it is a general android app loading problem...
On a iPhone it works very well
EDIT: downloading apps over the PlayStore is fast as it should be but it takes ~30 seconds before the download starts
thanks
Hi,
Yesterday I suddenly started getting some 'Google Play services has stopped' messages but not too bad.
But now pretty much every Google app I open quickly crashes followed by the Google Play services crash.
I'm using CM12.1 with OpenGapps and have been for a while without any problems whatsoever.
Has there been a recent update to Google Play services or something that might problems?
Anyone know how to fix it?!
Cheers!
So it looks like I've fixed my problem with a full wipe and flash.
Still a bit strange since it happened out of the blue after using my phone without any issues for weeks...
At least it's back to normal now though.

i have had the phone for 2 days so far. I installed all the updates and did a factory reset before using it. So far no app has crashed on me (i have used instagram a few times, but not the others you mentioned)
What version mha-l29? C636? C432?
Heya! I noticed my google play store looks a bit different on my Tab S3 then on my Nexus 6p.
They both have the same version of the play store, Play Store version: 8.9.24-all
These are screenshots from both:
Nexus 6P: https://i.imgur.com/ComZ6ln.jpg
Tab S3: https://i.imgur.com/kS4Y3oa.png
Notice how the S3 doesn't have the downloads/ratings (though seems to have the section for it) and the top section looks different and is missing the wishlist button? (though wishlist is in the 3 dot menu in the upper right when clicked).
Everything else outside of an apps individual info page looks Exactly the same.
And it also only seems to be different for apps and games. Movies, music and books all look like the Nexus picture.
I'm enrolled in the Google Play Services Beta, which I would immediately attribute to this if the phone which is also enrolled had the same change. Do they do partial test rollouts to random users/devices like they do with chrome dev?
Anyone else able to corroborate this?
Well, I don't know. But my guess would be the app detects what hardware it is running on and adjusts the UI. Why the Play store would need to do this is beyond my comprehension. It certainly would make sense for games. Maybe the developers working on the Play store are trying things out to see how they work out?
