Just received my S6 Edge and love it, but I do have a question.
The drawing function is gone from the Samsung Photo Gallery edit. On my S5 and S4 I could take a picture, then using the included Samsung Photo app to easily draw on the photo (i.e. make an arrow, circle something, etc.). Likewise if I took a screen shot I could easily use Edit -> Effect and draw on the picture, then send it to someone in the same app.
Am I missing something? I can't find a simple Gallery application as my default, go-to app for reviewing, then drawing on on pictures. Likewise there is no drawing capability on Google's Photos app (the one with the pinwheel icon). Everyone raves about QuicPic which is otherwise great, but there doesn't seem to be a drawing function. Key functionality - I'd like to be able to select the app as the default gallery so that I don't have to keep switching back and forth between applications.
Has anyone else solved for this?
you have to download the sdk for that in galaxy apps

Hi,
I've just been playing around with my phone and being a photographer I wanted to create a larger slide show of all the images I have on my phone.
It looks like the gallery app limits the slide shows to 20 photos! Is this a limit with Android 2.1 or the phone? I've just downlaoded the 'Desk Home' app and was planning on getting the dock to use the phone as a picture frame whilst at home, this kind of scuppers that idea.
Are there any other apps that could create slideshows?
Hello
I've had a search but can't seem to find anything around this.
Is there an app, (or a way to make the stock gallery) that displaysFish photos in full screen? When swiping through the pictures, the pictures display in the middle of the screen (lot of 'black' all round) and yes I can tap to zoom, but I would prefer the pictures to fill the screen automatically as as each one is displayed.
I have had a look at Quickpic, Fishbowl and a couple of others but they seem the same. The pictures should have resolution that exceeds the Tab screen res. They were transferred to the tab via Kies (does that resize pics?)
Have found the cause. Keis. It resizes pictures on transfer. With darg and drop no issues.
Imagine you downloaded an image from Google images and you want to add some scribble and notes to this image with Flyer's pen
Ok, how to save this picture ? i can not seem to find a method to save the scribed image ? The only method I can find is sharing this picture to email or somewhere else but sometimes the scribed image transferred sometimes it sends the pictures untouched unscribed.
Any ideas ?
It works fine with web sites and notes etc, I can not seem to find a workable solution on downloaded pictures from web.
Can you take a screenshot and scribble like that?
Something else I've done is save the image, and open it in the HTC scribe notes and scribble on there. Once I get home, I'll play around with it and I will let you know!

The easiest way I know of is to take a screenshot. Obviously you cannot simply tap the screen with the pen if you’re already scribbling, but there is a built in hard key combination to accomplish the task - you’re going to need two hands…
1) Press and hold the power button
2) Quickly tap the Home Icon along the bezel.
This takes a screenshot and dumps it into the Camera Shots folder/directory.
Works in either landscape or portrait, and is only method I found so far to take a shot of any screen that’s already using the pen drawing functionality. If you don’t want the pen tools in the picture you have to tap them out before taking the screenshot.
The only drawback I can think of is that the image resolution is capped at the screen resolution - which is not an issue if you’re annotating a web screenshot from a pen tap, but if you’re doodling over a 5 MP image it will be limiting.
By the way, whenever I attempt to send an inked photo from within the gallery via email, Bluetooth, etc., there’s always a dialog asking if I want to send the ink as part of the image, perhaps you’ve inadvertently not chosen that option in the past? I only ask because in a month of nearly daily use the Flyer’s never failed to send out an inked image on my behalf.
Hope the preceding information was helpful.
When someone sends me an image over MMS, if I tap it to view it full screen, it is still using only half the screen and has player controls at the bottom. It appears to have a 5-second play time. I cannot zoom or view the picture in the Gallery app or any other photo-viewing app, and I can't zoom in or scroll. The only way I can actually view it as an image is if I long-press the image, save it, then open it from ES Explorer, Gallery or similar app. This is the case with all pictures sent to me over MMS and from all senders. How do I turn this off so that the MMS app sees it as an image and not a 5-second movie?
By the way, I noticed this was the case with my S3 as well, so maybe this is more related to the Samsung SMS app than the Note II. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to fix this issue, though I can confirm I have the same complaint about it. I have the feeling it has something to do with the Android text messaging app and how it handles attachments, and not so much how the Note 2 specifically handles them. I had this exact same issue with my Experia Play. It's an annoyance at worst to me, so I just ignore it, but if anyone knows of a workaround, I'd be glad to hear it!
Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone. I use the Camera app provided by Samsung, but I do not use Samsung's Gallery app. Instead, I prefer to use Google Photos. In the past, a couple of years ago or so, Google Photos had an option to show a floating button when the camera app was open. This allowed me to see images taken in Samsung Camera app, in Google Photos with a single tap. This went away, as Samsung didn't like the feature.
What I am looking for, and I can't find, is an app in which I can create a shortcut that shows as a floating button on top of a specified application.
More precisely, I imagine an app where I can say: create a shortcut to Google Photos, show the shortcut as floating button, but only when Samsung Camera app is running in the foreground.
I guess this is technically possible. Many apps (for example Velociraptor) can show floating things conditionally (ie. when Google Maps is in Navigation mode).
So, let's see if the great community at XDA has knowledge of such an application. Thank you all.
