What model of s6 edge you haw??Look on samifirmware for yours model.Use odin 3.10.6 i think
and use the right region code BTW branding code..for free Germany it's dbt as example..
I hate to say it, but I have the exact same issue...
I tried to install TWRP, now the screen just goes blank after the Samsung logo.
I have downloaded the latest O2 UK firmware, flashed as normal using odin 3.10.6, and I get a "fail" too
Please could someone suggest something?
Thanks
EDIT: Re-flashed root, and all good again!
Guys i was upgrading official firmware through ODIN, but it failed. Tried flashing TWRP Recovery as well and below error occured. Need help as my S6 Edge 925F is stuck and won't boot. One more thing, i can enter download mode just fine.

PIT related error bothers me .......
@aneeqkhan I know this thread is a bit dated now, but nobody has replied to you question either? I am trying to recover my friends Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925I, his bricked after a failed standard OTA update. Flashing stock firmware worked for about 1 week then the whole thing crashed and is un-bootable. Attempting to flash the exact same firmware again in hopes that I could boot into recovery (recovery by button combination DOES NOT WORK!) so was hoping to just boot and factory reset (I was thinking that maybe a data corruption was the cause we didn't wipe his phone because he didn't back it up)...upon putting the device into download mode and flashing the exact same firmware package that worked the week before I get the same error that you are getting? Not only that but none of the claimed fixes online for these devices has worked!?
Note: This is a 100% stock device never had anything flashed to it before I got it and still hasn't had anything custom flashed to it either
I am more interested now if you managed to recover your S6 and if so how did you do it?

Start odin, put your rom on pda, leave everything unchanged, make sure that repartition button is not enabled, start your phone in download mode, and wait until you see in odin message "added" , than click start. I wish you luck.

I'm a bit of a Noob but here's what I would try - go to sammobile.com and find the latest official ROM for your phone/area. Download it to laptop. Start Odin. Put phone into Download mode then connect it. Click PDA and find the download file and flash it.
The official file should have all you need, but if you did this previous with PIT clicked you will need to ask someone more experienced than me - I haven't had any experience with that.
Another thing you might try is DL Revolution ROM (search for ARHD 9) and follow the Superwipe instructions to get rid of all the previous possible crap. I noticed when I used it there was all kinds of format-type stuff happening as the ROM installed.
If flashing with repartition failed after first try and now your nand is improperly partitioned or not partitioned at all, than you must now thick repartition while flashing by Odin because in other case it will not even start nand write.
But to make it properly you need Rom with separate parts (3 file firmware: PDA, PHONE, CSC) and proper .pit file for mapping new partition structure to flash it.
I can give you a link for such firmware but only for XEO region. If you need another one you must find it yourself.
Rom:
https://hotfile.com/dl/158814567/30ec3bc/GT-I9300_XEO_I9300XXALEF_I9300OXFALEA_I9300XXLEF.rar.html
Proper pit for above firmware:
https://hotfile.com/dl/162097667/e5b3f90/mx.zip.html
Flash with those probably will be successful, but if your nand partition information was erased than there is a risk of data loss on efs partition. But this will be your future problem.
i9.0.1.3k galaxy imperator
I think op need to use a proper pit file along with some stock odin rom to resolve this issue
《spilled from dragon jellybean rom》
And run ODIN as administrator.
My first NAND write failed win W7.
I retried it it worked (but as an Admin)
I still have the same problem even when i run odin as an administrator
still got that pit partition error!!

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with a default ROM, rooted and with clockworkmod installed.
Yesterday night I let it charging and working fine. This morning was freezed on the startup screen, the one that says "Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I93000" and was not possible to go over it. I checked for similar posts in the forum but no one had the same characteristics, all could go further the starting screen.
I tried the next:
- Normal restart: Nothing, same screen
- Take out the battery: Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in recovery mode (power+home+vol up): Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in download mode (power+home+vol down): Success, i'm download mode.
What can I do now? there is any chance to enter without re-installing rom and wiping the whole content?
Please, any help is welcome. I'm without mobile meanwhile
Thank you in advance
If the phone does not start in normal mode and recovery mode but it starts in download mode, try to flash a rom Samsung not wipe, if it fails to start still not done with the full wipe rom SAMSUNG

Hi, thank you for the fast answer.
I just found the original stock image that i had:
Country/Carrier: Poland (Play)
Date:2012 July
Android: 4.0.4
PDA:I9300XXBLFB
CSC:I9300PRTBLG1
I will turn the phone in download mode and I will connect with Odin.
Sorry about the newbie question: How I flash a new ROM on the phone without wiping all?
Best Regards

I don't have any service shop here were I live

Try to flash a ROM Samsung Jelly Bean (They Do Requires PDA only normally) and do not put anything in pit
Personally I no longer believe too
Yeah Im having the same problem...
apparently the chip that stores boot got non-functional data or something...missed-up in other words
anyhow...from several threads I looked up,,,,only 2 things can solve this , either Jtag repair the phone (check google) or service the phone, but if the flash counter shows in download mode they might not do it on warranty...
my phone has been in service for 3 days now, still didn't tell me if they'll service on warranty or not, luckily I used triangle reset before, everything shows as official samsung except custom rom.
Thank you for the replies.
Regarding bringing it to the service, I have another small issue. I got my mobile in PL. A friend wanted an internet contract there and with that contract the phone was really cheap, so I pay the phone and he kept the SIM....and I live in Germany
I will try to bring it to any shop, let's see what they tell me.
Another question now: I had an original stock ROM, but I just root it to be able to make full backups. They can realize about this entering just in download mode? Is normal that I see "Odin Mode" when I enter in download mode?
Thank you all

Download mode is already integrated in the smartphone by cons they may know that you have changed the phone because this flash counter in download mode they would have had to turn away a triangle reset the counter but hey it is not possible because you can not start the phone

In my situation, my S3 is in download mode but the computer can not see it through a com (up-to-date Odin and Kies can not see my GS3). What should I do?
Messing with PIT maybee ruined your phone.
If it s in warranty maybee they flash it for you. I´ve experienced that before with no problems but I know that it voyds the warranty flashing PIT and rooting.
Maybee you re lucky in the samsung service, in your position I was that way. Jtag is very risky and voyds warranty forever. If you pay in samsung for the boot repair you continue to have your warranty again and for the price of a Jtag intervention I would pay a bit more and continue having warranty.
S3 frozen on boot screen while rooting
Hello everyone,
I'm new around here and i apologize if posting in the wrong place....
I have a similar problem: I decided to root my S3 (UK unlocked) and followed one of many tutorials on YouTube (made by galaxys3root). Everything seemed to be easy and started well until at the point when the S3 must reboot. At that point the phone got stuck, and the only thing i can do is to go in downloading mode.

While the phone is stuck on the boot screen my PC (Win 7 Ultimate) does not recognize the device, while if the phone is in downloading mode, the PC has the driver for it.
I went through a few more topics on this forum which described something similar, tried a few of the suggestions made by others but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone has a solution for this or I should take the phone in service?
I would appreciate any advise!
I'm quite the beginner so if you could use a technical "friendly" language it would be great
Hi all,
I have a Samsung galaxy S3 GT-I9300. 2 days ago it crashed and won't boot anymore. The reason was can't mount /cache, can't mount system ... on recovery mode. I tried only the wipe cache option and it did nothing.
I started looking at the forum to understand how to fix it. I deciced first to make a backup of my data if possible so I downloaded Odin v3.07 and philz_touch_6.07.9-i9300.tar.md5. I read in another thread that we can manage to copy data from the phone using philz tools.
The problem here is that flashing philz tools with Odin fails all the time. Now I can only access the download mode. At boot, I have a "Firmware upgrade encountered an Issue..." I tried with Kies recovery but it failed too.
In my sdcard, I have no folder clockwordmode ! In download mode
PRODUCT NAME : GT-I9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD : Yes (3)
CURRENT BINARY : Custom
SYSTEM STATUS : Ofiicial
I am bit lost as there seem to be a lot of options in other threads. I don'y know where to start or what to do ? is it the PIT files to restore ? the firmware, the kernel ? the whole OS ?
Many thanks
Don't use pit file. pit is Last resort!!!! Get stock firmware from sammobile.com and flash it through Odin. Forget kies. Read about Odin before flashing.
You'll need to flash with a *.pit file, and the ROM downloaded from sammobile in order to restore your device. Use the *.pit file as the absolute last option to restore your phone. It will repartition your phone, and any power loss of either the machine you are flashing from, or your phone will render it a permanent brick.
Thank you
I am downloading the latest firmware from sammobile (1.1 GB) and Odin 3.09. There are specific instructions for Odin on sammobile website so I don't think i'm goint to mess it up. I will let you know if it did work for me.

Shall I try with an older image (this one is the latest) ? or retry by messing the PIT ?
Nand write fail = motherboard replacement.
Keep trying to flash and don't give up but please leave pit till the end. Yes try three part recovery firmware and older firmware "not ics" SDS on ics firmware and you don't want that. But at the end of the day nand write fail means hardware failure.

However, I still have the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" at boot I removed the phone when I saw the message Removed in Odin. I am not sure whether it didn't let the process finish well or I did right. Any ideas or suggestions ?
I succeeded to reinstall the latest firmware and I got back the samsung logo at boot. However It still doesn't go any further and no recovery mode ... Is there a way to check the status of the system ?
Omg its alive!! Odin said pass! Just keep flashing that firmware till you get recovery and then factory reset.
Try the rescue firmware in general thread, follow the instructions exactly.

Hello
An update of my case. After struggling 2 days with NAND write fail and trying lots of firmwares... I succeeded to install CMW recovery tool. From that, I installed Cyanogenmod 10.0.2. I struggled to make it boot too as it looped on cyanogen logo many times.
Now I must confess that I am afraid of rebooting the phone as I thought it was dead
Hope it helps someone else :highfive:
Great feed back for others. and go's to show never give up flashing with Odin. Odin is a pain in the ....
Congrats
I downloaded Lollipop 5.1.1 from SamMobile.com. Upgrading from 5.0.2 using ODIN 3.10.6 - the upgrade failed and now the device is soft bricked. I can still access the recovery (HOME/PWR/DN VOL), but can't apply the 5.0.2 stock ROM - that keeps failing too with SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE:2, BINARY:1 appearing on the device.
I'm not fussed what version 5.0.2 or 5.1.1 gets installed, but how can I get the device working properly again?
All help appreciated.

The device displays the SW REV message mentioned above.
you can't downgrade only upgrade
Thanks for the reply. So how can I push the 5.1.1 upgrade to the device?
if you can't flash your 5.0.2 means 5.1.1. firmware is already flashed..if you had problems with the 5.1.1 firmware you must delete the hidden Img..here is an example

it's now the 7th time I wrote this..BTW don't mix your problems..the 5.1.1 firmware should have the fail problem later after system BTW hidden

I downloaded 5.1.1 firmware from sammobile and ODIN 3.10.6. when i connected the phone with PC for flashing, all drivers were already updated. Then i hit start after selecting ROM n it failed on the step as mentioned in OP. I tried booting up the phone but it didn't. Then when i again tried flashing the rom after booting in download mode, the error that i mentioned in my earlier post appeared (including error of PIT). Since then the phone does not even shut down. It either boots in download mode or stays at the error screen stating something about something went wrong with the software update and use smart switch.... something like it.... any suggestions.
EDIT: I was running stock 5.0.2 firmware unrooted....

Getting this kind of log from odin. note this is copy from another thread, otherwise same but buildnumber is different..
I can't even flash twrp/philz recovery. without getting some error, PIT related.
I can't access recovery by anymeans as it wil boot up to that ''smart switch blablabla'' and pc will say it is not supported etc.
I only can access download-mode.
I have tried flash stock 5.1.1 PIT but it makes no difference.
This is 32gb model. How deep i'm in brown?
Got this working!
First i used odin 3.10.7 -> all fails
Then tried 3.10.6 -> first try successfully only that hidden.img was failed but i extracted from firmware and and flashed it after that.
Hope this helps someone.
if you had used smart switch on your pc, it was a lot easier............:good:
