Hello everyone,
in the meantime while we are waiting to update for stock Lollipop I try to figure out which one of available custom ROMs is the most stable and can be used as normal, daily use. I'm not talking about extreme graphic performance or overclock or play the games, just to make sure that there is a possibility to achieve this goal.
regards,
Miquel.

Some members have reboot problem but im on one since release and dont have any
All of them are stable...but they have a gery bad memory leak...you wont be able to do multitasking..your apps will crash..and after a while it will become frustrating plus reboots every 2 days or so...i think you better wait for cm12.1

The wakelock is from lift to wake.. Just disable it as said in thread.. For me all lollipop roms work fine with the fix, and greenify + some tweaks with kernel adiutor made it perfect for me!

Could you explain to me what ROM is doing for so long time ?
Hi,
First to say that I really like this ROM but there are few things I noticed for this few days that I'm having it. Because of this "10 posts" rule, I have to split them to separate posts, later we can communicate in proper forum :fingers-crossed: So ...
"Location" isn't working at all. I usually use GPS only, but since here it doesn't work, I tried to turn on other options and none if them is working. I tested with "GPS Status" app (that is crashing now) and application for local public transport (turn on GPS when showing local map).
Any chance of getting OSB? I tried to change framework-res.apk myself with AFK but now WiFi switch in Notification Bar is replaced with Teethering switch

I have no doubts about quality of developer I'm using this ROM for every day, so just wanted to help a bit (let's say as a tester) Sorry for wrong thread but I still didn't reach "10 posts limit".
BTW, after turning off "Location" (since it doesn't work anyway), battery discharge curve became much less steep. So, it seems that system is wasting power on non-working GPS.
Also, is there any chance to connect phone as mass storage device?

Sorry for my bad english,I´m use Google Translate.
Finally thats something new on XDA , someone who made a ROM with the CM7 style , it seems good but I believe it needs more theming . Anyone can try this rom and give some feedback??
I've tried, and I can say that the performance is optimal in both battery and fluency, the RAM that handles surprisingly.
As you mentioned your @theowner997 need a little more appearance CM7. :good:
For the next update of the rom
I´m going to theming more the rom.
Man very good job...i'm using now your rom and it's very fast and stable...congrats for your work

Hello everyone, I'm searching for a good Aosp rom for my s3.
I have tested P.A (from 4.41 to 4.5 beta 2) but I have SystemUI FCs or after unlocking...
I have tested CM11 M9 too and nightlies, but I have systemUI FCs too when unlocking... And other bugs.
I have tried Aokp, liquid smooth, dirty unicorn, resurrection remix, but I have a lot of bug too...
For me the more stable was CM and PA but there is not a lot of personalization (forced to used Gravity box )
So if you can tell me a good aosp rom please ? :/
And I'd like to know (for CM) who is better, nightly or snapshot ?
Thanks ^^

Snapshots are considered more stable, but according to my experience nightlies are stable too, you have simply to consider from how many times a rom is under development: 4 months generally are enough.
I prefer M builds to prevent my compulsive system upgrading
And yes, in CyanogenMod systemui is the worst thing especially in my device. It freeze my device for some minutes before goes to FC.
Since few days I aborted the Dalvik world and the greatful GravityBox.
I'm on ART with better performance and battery saving, but mainly with better stability.
Okay thank you all, actually I'm testing PacRom and it looks great for the moment only one SystemUI Fcs since yesterday
About ART, I have lose 1500 point in Antutu with CM and somde lags... I prefere keep Dalvik because I use a lot of module xposed ^^

I understand that you want to keep Xposed, but prefer Dalvik to have a greater AnTuTu benchmark score is ridiculous!
ART runtime, is "officially" better than Dalvik runtime, but is under development still and requires more free storage space.

Yeah but if ART had less score than Dalvik, its maybe because the s3 don't support ArT very well etc...

You are on a little different Boeffla kernel, which use the Samsung proprietary drivers instead the open source smdk4x12.
According to Lord Boeffla, it should be worst than the known Boeffla kernel.
What's your experience with?
Thanks, we can be useful also for OP [emoji6]
Nope... The Samsung sources are actually better than the smdk4x12 which are synced to Samsung sources upto Update7(hence outdated, with crappy performance/battery life) whereas current Samsung sources are upto Update14, that's why he decided to make the NG Kernel in the first place...
But don't u think this is getting a bit too off topic for this thread?

You try using android tweaker to zip align your apps
---------- Post added at 05:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:58 AM ----------
you can also try moving apps to sdcard with lucky patcher
---------- Post added at 05:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:02 AM ----------
what I normally do to speed my system is clear the memory of apps using a memory cleaner app and moving apps to the sdcard with the lucky patcher app and speed boosting my games in du speed booster and it runs quite smoothly especially high memory games such as most wanted or cod strike force team

For performance tweaks, change cpu governor to Pegasusq, i/o scheduler to SIO. Since you use dorimanx (it's ok but I don't like it), it already comes with the latest maliv3 tweaks (graphics). Have a try using Pedestre's Apolo kernel and use the settings suggested.
For compatibility, there is not much you can do until developers of the games you are interested in releases updates to improve compatibility with kitkat. If you have ART enabled, disable it since it can make some apps incompatible with android.
Hope this helps, gsstudios.

I don't exactly know what you mean with you cannot play these games, but if the problem is that they are lagging you may want to try flashing "pure performances x Zeno edition" it'd make your phone faster and overcome this problem.

Cyanogenmod made such a crappy work that they shouldn't have done anyway.
The result is a nightly that:
-White screen when offline charge
-No hotspot
-Unstable
-Graphical issues
-Random reboots
-Freezes when disabling auto rotation
-Laggy
-Horrible general graphics performance
Many other bugs,i don't remember.
Flash cyanoid/Optimus rom.
They're full of hotfixes/debugging and offer an acceptable level of performance.

Its obviuos:No good ICS rom,No 3.X kernel we can't flash CM9 and expect no lags.
The best rom 4.0 now is regits one,but it lags anyway.
Still you can get 4.0 experience with a mixed 2.3.6 rom that looks like ICS.
But it isn't
