[Q] Need basic help with HTC one Max - HTC One Max

I Recently got a sprint variant HTC One Max, and it keeps rebooting over and over. After a little bit of researched, I found there was a problem with rebooting with the 4.4 Kit Kat version of sense, and that loading a ROM onto the phone would fix it. So I have been trying to research and read diligently, finding out as much information as I can about the process, but my biggest fear is that the phone would be bricked. Can someone tell me the chances of the phone being completely bricked, and all the steps I can do to avoid this? I don't really have any data on the phone that is important, I just don't want it to become useless as this is the only that I can use for a while.
I have been looking into the Cyanogenmod 12.1 Rom, so if anyone has any advice for me, I would gladly take it. Again, this is my first time doing anything of the sort, so the task seems daunting and challenging.

If you have read a lot then I am sure you must have come across how to unlock your Hboot and probably seen the S-off Tutorials. You can Unlock your Hboot and and try a custom rom. But I would recommend going to the HTC website > Rom Page and download RUU there and install it. It is 100 per cent safer and sure might solve your problem. But Have u already tried Factory Resetting your phone?

[Q] I need help please.

I was sent here by some other site to try and fix my issue, since I don't really know anything about what's going on, or anything about what it is I need, and need to do to fix my issue. I'm new to alot of this type of stuff, and it's a bit confusing.
Basically, I have a Galaxy S Fascinate SHG-T959D About a week ago now, it decied to try and reset itself. Now all that happens is it boots up and just constantly re-boots from there, making anything on my phone impossible to do. It just cycles through the Galaxy S screen, and my Telus screen constantly.
I don't know what to do or how to fix this, and I could really use some help understand what it is I need to do. I was told to look into something about Odin, and what to do with that, but I tried reading a bit into it here and find most of it very complicated to understand. I don;t really know what it is I need, and what it is I need to do.
If anyone could help, that would be awesome.
There are instructions here on how to install custom roms on the telus fascinate. Doing step 1 will return you to stock and get you out of the bootloop, but you'll loose all your information on your phone. I've only used the verizon fascinate so I don't know if there is a way to fix your booting problem without loosing your data. I'm sure others will chime in if it's possible.
Edit: after I posted I noticed that the files you need aren't available anymore since they were on megaupload.
Edit2: Sorry, hadn't seen this thread that has links to the files you need and has a lot of info.

HTC Sensation Z710a Changing OS

Hi,
First of all, I have next to no knowledge of anything related to operating systems and my phone and so on, but I can follow instructions well if explained in simple terms. Thank you in advance.
I bought a HTC Sensation Z710a from Ebay and I didn't realize that it didn't have the "normal" Android on it. I've had it for a while now, over a year and I only recently revisited the subject of my OS when I realized I hadn't been asked to update anything like my previous phone (Nexus from Vodafone). I looked into it a little and it appears I have Android 4.0.3 but "Android Revolution HD 6.6.0 XE" by mike1986?
I would like to know what the best thing to do here is, as I would like to update to the newest available Android out for my phone, and I think I would prefer the "normal" Android to the mike1986 development version (but whatever works I suppose).
I have absolutely no idea how to go about this, so any help would be appreciated. Also, my battery seems to be dying a lot faster these days. Will getting a new one fix the problem entirely, and will updating the OS aid in this at all?
Thank you!
Any help!
Please, I really need assistance with this. Thank you!
I would suggest you to take a look in the section for your device for a custom rom which you think look's fine for you and also I'm quite sure that you have a CWM recovery and unlocked bootloader on your phone so that's not needed to be added.
Well, after that simply download the rom and put it on your sdcard and flash it with CWM, sometimes you might need to update the radio to get everything working. After you have flashed the zip you need to wipe data / factory reset, otherwise you might get a bootloop.
I also suggest you to make a nandroid backup before continuing to flash your device
Okay, thanks. Is it at all possible to get the regular version of Android on it though?

[Q] Help needed.

Hi everybody. Like always, when I get into troubles with my phone I search for XDA's help but thing is, this time I didn't found what I needed.
I have HTC Desire Zara UL S-On with unlocked Bootloader and for me it's great phone, kinda like it, but after this mistake I made I'm not that much into it.
OK let me start. I had stock KitKat 4.4.2 with HTC Sense 5.5 on it and I decided to install custom firmware on it, CyganMod 12 which has minor bugs, camera, it doesn't see mine Router even tho everything else in my house connects to it without no problems.
I tried to find stock ROM to flash it but I didn't had success. Tried to find Custom KK rom for it, no luck. I cannot restore because I didn't backup'd previously OS and I'm sure I kinda wiped it from the phone. Is there anyone to help me, to give me step-by-step instructions or something? I would really love to get it back on KitKat like it used to be. Thanks in advance. Alvin.
Fixed it. Found stock recovery, boot and rom so everything is cool now. Thanks for "help"

Soooooo, i think i bricked my HTC one A9

Welp, here we are, a young and dumb person trying to do something they have little to no knowledge in. I was messing around one day with my phone and decided "hey rooting seems fun, I did it once 3 years ago so it should be a cake walk!"...... and look where we are.
So what I did was go off and install TWRP recovery, all went well and I thought I was a genius. I got my rooting done and figured out it was nothing like it was 3 years ago, at least I just didn't remember how to do anything. So fast forward a few months to last week where I started to get annoyed of the constant reminders of the OTA update so I began to figure out why in the world I couldn't install it and found out that it was because I had TWRP. I began to search for "How to get stock recovery for HTC one A9" and ended on a few different articles. I was dumb and I guess went in the wrong direction and ended up locking my bootloader and attempting to wipe my phone with TWRP still installed.
I read somewhere that this will cause the phone to brick because it is trying to use the stock recovery to wipe and TWRP doesn't have the functionality to do so. So here I am asking all you smart fellows out there for help because I really cant go long without my phone and don't have the money at the moment to purchase a new one or get it "professionally fixed"
Thank you everyone for any help you can provide and I will do my best to provide any more information you will be needing.
Update: about 3 hours later, i had done some searching with HTC and found their RUU services. These didn't work for me as they seemed to be outdated. I then searched XDA for my current OS version RUU and downloaded that and ran it on my phone. This got me to the setup on HTC where i was then able to update to current version android.

Bricked HTC 10

Hello everyone,
I've been scouring XDA for a while trying to solve my problem, and just finally became a member so I could try to deal with my particular situation directly with whatever help you guys can provide. Thanks in advance.
HTC 10
Unlocked
S-ON
No ROM installed
TWRP installed and funtional
(Can provide any more info--if I can get it from Download Mode, Bootloader, or TWRP)
My skill level is not very high as far as this stuff is concerned, but I can follow directions. Here's my story:
I first successfully unlocked and rooted my HTC 10 a couple years or so ago (i.e. installed TWRP, ROM, Viper for Android). It was great, until things began to malfunction a bit. I messed around, but eventually decided to go back to stock. I was successful in this, as well.
Fast-forward a while, and I was missing my custom set-up, so I thought I'd wade back into these complex waters. To make a long story short, I screwed up and bricked it. I wish I has more specific details about how it went wrong, but throwing my hands up in frustration, I simply dug out an older phone and began using that instead.
As of a few weeks ago, I decided I was going to give another go at fixing my HTC 10. After all, it is a beautiful piece of hardware, and I'm still paying the thing off.
I've tried installing ROMs every way I know how, via EXEs from the PC, sideloading, wiping caches, trying system restore images from TWRP. . .no dice. I expect even by this point you can tell I'm pretty amateur.
I suspect I may be forgetting some way I cut a corner or ran into some irregularity I ignored when I returned it to stock, but it's just been too long, and I can't remember.
Would greatly, greatly appreciate any help provided.
Cheers,
tra1neus
