Customized firmware? - Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

When I was downloading firmware version with XperiaFrim I noticed that there are also firmwares which are named like 'Customized BLX' or "Customized CE1".
What's customized about these firmwares? Can these be flashed without loosing root for example?

[Q] Is there a generic non-regional firmware?

Hi,
When I was using a blackberry, if there was an update, there were a generic non-regional firmware where there is no region specific bloatware. Is such a version available for the XS? I ask this due to the fact that over in the development section there are a few region specific firmwares available however, flashing them will also mean you get that region specific bloatware as well as being limited to the restrictions of that particular region (ie. some apps not being allowed to install with the Singapore version). Thanks.
There was a generic version for .67, but I do not believe a region-agnostic version has been uploaded for .73 yet.

[Q] Flashing Pre-Rooted system .img for FW 73

Is the a pre-rooted system .img for FW 73 yet?
I'm trying to root my phone but I can't seem to find a pre-rooted system .img for FW 73.
I don't want to try rooting my phone any other way because I'm not familiar with other ways.
Can anybody help me with this?
Which version? Would help if you posted for what region you are looking for or what customization number

Version is 6.0.A.3.73
Customization number says: 1257-1995_R4E
Region: NL or English version
Did you already look in the firmwares and root compilation thread in the dev section for that version?

A Question

Hey guys,
I recently rooted my S2 and installed a custom ROM because i was sick of waiting for Samsung to release ICS in my region ( Also i love stock ICS ).
Recently they released ICS in my region so i went to sammobiles to download the firmware.
My Question is that do PDA and CSC change for each new version of android released or am i supposed to wait for the firmware with the same PDA and CSC as the version i was using.
Also I wanted to know if I could flash firmware of different region on the phone without it having any errors
Thank you.

u can flash any stock rom ...
The only small issue you might face if you flash stock firmware for a different region is you may not be able to get OTA updates for your region when they're released. But it's easy enough to flash them via Odin so this isn't a massive problem.

Xz1 annoyingly slow updates and regions issue.

Could someone please explain why my NEW Xz1 phone (and Sony companion) think that I have the latest updates when according to XperiFirm much newer versions exist. Currently I have:
47.1.A.2.281 currently installed on the phone yet
47.1.A.12.235 is the latest available in other geographical areas.
Is it ok to flash this latest one from a different geographical area onto my phone ?
I live in New Zealand and was considering flashing a UK Customized 47.1.A.12.235
I would use Flashtool by Androxyde.
Would this void my warranty ?
Why is it that Sony put out updates but we just don't get to see them - who's dragging the chain here ?
And since posting the above I'm aware that two more updates have happened:
47.1.A.12.270
47.1.A.16.20
WTF is going on ? Why are we not getting ANY updates ?

You can flash firmware from other region, but you may lose FOTA update pushes, this means you can only upgrade your firmware through Flashtool or other similar tools in the future.
As for the warranty, I have no idea about it, but I have already flashed my Chinese version XZ1 to Malaysian firmware, since the Chinese firmware does not have any Google apps, and it just works fine, I also replaced the oem.sin file from Chinese firmware to Malaysian firmware in order to have VoLTE enabled.
But as I mentioned before, I lose FOTA after flashed my phone, so I have to download the entire firmware via XperiFirm and flash it manually. If you flash the original firmware without modifications, you may not lose FOTA, if you do so, please tell me!
EDIT: You can only flash firmware matches your model, so don't flash a G8342 firmware into a G8341 or other.
