Firmware upgrade, battery life is worse?

So I read a few posts on bad battery life.... but I really had no complaints, I even took a screen shot or 2 of me making it over 24 hours, they way I use my phone. Very typical for me and my usage....
But then kies kept bugging about a firmware update, so I did it.... and not, I am barely getting over 10 hours out of my phone... having slept most of that!?
This is the second charge now, it seems the life is cut in half... with no increase in usage or any new apps added. Is this possible from a firmware upgrade and can I go back to the old firmware?
thanks in advance.... I did do a quick search, hopefully it is not a repost
Most people with this issue are being told to do a factory reset and see what happens. Im pretty sure it solves the problem.
anyone with firmware XWKE2 done factory reset? And did it help the battery?

weird, but like I always tell women.... I will try anything once
since I am at 100% right now, I will do it and report back. thanks
I assume you just go into privacy and do the factory reset that way?
A multitude of battery posts all say after a flash your battery drains then settles down with use .

A factory reset made no difference for me unfortunately.
12 hours in and I am still at 41%... so it made some at least!

SGS2 Battery problem.

Dear XDA people,
I got some problems with my SGS2, when I charge my battery, when its on 50%, it gives the message Fully charged and it shows that I got 100% battery, but actually I got only 50% Battery... I had this problem with the stock rom, but Flashed a new rom checkrom. Still the same problem and the Battery calibration app isnt working. Even if I wipe battery data, it still gives the same problems.
Got any ideas how to fix this problem?
Thx in advance,
Kylobayd
Yes, a new battery. It sounds defect

Defective battery. If it's within 3 months/90 days I imagine they'd replace it for you, if not you'll need to buy a new battery.
Nah, thats not the problem since I have a 2nd battery.. Its a software problem I guess but I cant figure it out.. really sucks
First step backup data and factory reset .
Second step install stock rom and test .
Fails then reset rom counter to zero and return under warranty .

Did a factory reset still the same problem.
Probably a hardware problem

No more warranty ... No other solution ?
Try calibrating the screen in display settings.

If you're rooted, try to fix permissions using your recovery menu. Not rooted? Then what software did you install beforehand that might cause such behavior? Uninstall all potentially buggy apps. As a last resort, you could complete reset your phone to factory settings. Did that help?

Hi am facing the same issue here with Mate 20, even after factory reset, this still persist! Maybe you might have better luck after factory reset!

Cell Standby draining battery

I am having a problem with battery drain for last few days. It goes down for more than 30% over night on standby. The thing i found different was that "cell standby" was always 1%< and now it goes up over 50%. Can anyone provide a solution that i could try using to fix this, or if anyone has any idea?
I have attached ss.

No solution for now.
I tried factory reset, that did not help.
Tried to turn off mobile data during the night, didn't help.
Tried to change network to 3G, didn't help.
I am wondering if it has something to do with Android 10.0, but, it did not start when i updated, it started later. Don't know when will update to 10.1 come, but for now as more people get this problem i am hoping that a solution will pop out.
Hi yaxor,
On my side I made a reset of my network settings (settings and search "reset network settings" ) and the problem has been solved ony side.
Please try and hope it will help you =)
Let me know,
R.

Thanks for advice,
but didn't do much for me. Still having the same problem. Maybe new update 10.1 will fix it, but not much info when to expect it.
