anyone know how to get this phone off alltel and on any other carrier? I have the bootloader unlocked, twrp and root. I cant get it to accept any other networl. this is the cdma version. I cant even get into diagnostic mode to connect to dfs. HELP
You will need to unlock it. Go to your carrier, and ask them to unlock it for you. Don't try unlocking it yourself, as it is illegal.
Unlocked bootloader: Allows you to flash custom ROMS and custom recovery.
Unlocked phone: Allows you to use your phone with any carrier.

my phone's network is unlocked and im using it in india, but really want to install some custom roms, from here, but will after installing those roms, my phone still be unlocked to be used in india???????????????
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure your phone is unlocked forever if you entered the actual unlock code. (EDIT: Assuming you don't intentionally/explicitly relock to network--this is possible, no?)
There's also a root/hack unlock method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=906255 which can apparently be reversed.
How did you unlock the phone to begin with?
i got it unlocked from the gray market.....
Hi, is there a way for me to retrieve the unlock code from inside my atrix, I'm currently rooted, CWM recovery touch installed, running aura rom 1.2.2.2 and unlocked to any carrier.
I want to know, just in case i want to return to stock I want to be able to unlock the phone by code and use it with any carrier.
Thank you!!!
As of right now that's not possible. Only way to unlock is to either pay for or ask your carrier for the unlock code.
how can i unlock the htc one without the simcard?
I have the phone, and the bootloader is unlocked and s-off running twrp (android version 4.4.2)
Is it even possible to do it without the simcard? i mean i know its been done on other phones with out the use of an unlock code.

If the bootloader shows to be unlocked, then the phone is unlocked? Now if you want to unlock the SIM, then you will need the SIM from the other provider otherwise the phone will not ask you to enter the unlock code. There is no other way to get it to ask for a SIM code.
Does anyone have any ideas as to unlocking the ZTE Z993? I know they have unlocked bootloaders, Fastboot, There's even Root and Custom Recovery out there for this device... But I'm trying to determine a way to network unlock them... Perhaps through an engineering bootloader, flashable through fastboot?

Very simple indeed M1k3Carson. Visit ZTEUSA Scroll down and select your carrier and product type... proceed by email or live chat and simply ask for the SIM unlock code. Your not required to give an explanation as to why you want the code, but if you feel the need; lets say for overseas carrier use. If you need further help with your ZTE Prelude z993; I have successfully rooted and flashed CWM on mine. Just email me @Ryan.G[email protected], or if your able, contact me through this site. Hopefully some ROM's will become available for this phone soon.
So i got the S22+ from Spectrum and i have been looking into rooting it but there is no oem unlock, so i tried to go into fastbood with adb but all it does is reboot the device it does not even go to fastboot therefore this model is impossible to root right?
You need unlocked bootloader to root, bootloader cannot be unlocked.

So therefore i gotta buy another model to unlock the bootloader?
Snapdragon U and U1 are locked bootloader no oem unlock, can't be unlocked or rooted. If you are in United States depending on which carrier you have, you need to be careful buying International devices. I'm on At&t and they only support certain variations of devices now. Trust me I found out the hard way. If it's not on their supported devices they will disable your Sim card for unauthorized device. And trying to have them whitelist the imei does nothing
