My circle was reading texts to me fine then suddenly it doesn't. I didn't change any notifications on it. I've tried reboots, unpair and repair and none if it helps. I do also have a gear s paired at the same time but that never made a difference before. Any help would be appreciated

Can you post gear circle plugin .apk and gear manager apk? and what phone are you using?
I have the gear circle. First, when you pair your gear circle did it download the gear circle software. If it did, when you go to gear manager, at the top left, it should be an arrow that allows you to go between gear s and gear circle. go to gear circle, under notifications, make sure "limit notifications" is unchecked. If you dont have the gear circle software you need to pair the gear circle from the gear manager, which will download the gear circle software. Again, make sure "limit notifications" is unchecked.
Hope this helps,
Charles

Hi everyone, i've a Gear Fit and a LG L9II with Gear Fit Manager and Gear Fit Fitness apk, all works perfectly except the alarm clock that works only on the mobile phone and not on gear fit (I've already activated notifications from Clock on gear fit manager settings).
Can anyone help me?
The alarm function only works on Samsung devices. There is no work around yet AFAIK

Ok, just today I tried to add an event to my google calendar with the same wake-up time that I need, the notification reaches the gear fit , is there a way to extend the calendar notification time as if it is an alarm clock ?
(sorry for my english)

you can set the event to recur every day, so it will work like an alarm.
This may have been covered but I cannot find it....
(screenshots are below)
I have just upgraded my s5 to 5.0 and enabled lockscreen notifications, but I cannot seem to get rid of the gear fit notification.
Does anyone have a work around for this ?
I have even tried to force notifications OFF but it is greyed out
This is really annoying me!!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try long-pressing the notification and you should get a little menu of buttons. Tap the info icon (circle with an "i" in it). From there you should be able to disable persistent notifications.

So Gear Fit Manager is working for you on Lollipop? Are you using an official version of GFM 1.98 or a modified version?
Hi.
Gear fit works perfectly. No issues at all.
I am using the uk O2 OTA update.
The only issue is that there is a constant notification to say gear fit is connected.
If I disconnect the Gear fit then I can swipe the notification away.
Just not when it is connected.
Did you solve that problem?

Thank you. That helped me a lot.
If you dismiss a notification from your gear fit, does it also dismiss on the phone?
I have a pebble which I can do this with via Notification Center, and am debating getting a gear fit instead.
Yes it does. With email anyway.
Stock firmware, stock gear manager. You get a notification from gmail scroll all the way to the bottom to the 3 dots and there was a reply function with some pre set text but if you look up at the right there is a keyboard icon click that to type what ever you want... This just made this watch so much cooler. lol
My set up, ATT gear s and ATT note 4.
I believe this is only available on AT&T's latest firmware update (1AOB1). You can also delete the email from Gmail, not just dismiss the notification (something I wish the stock email can do as well). Other versions of Gear S only have 1AOA7 or older firmware.
But thanks for point out the keyboard thing. I was not aware of you can actually type your own replies.
I can reply on GMail message with my Gear S, standard Gear S with no SIM and no phone provider.
I think it works only for the last GMail message and certainly not read. Same for Hangout message.
I have also actionnable android notification with the same menu (3 dots)
Try just after receiving GMail notification to see
Or you can use my app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s/themes-apps/exclusive-to-xda-alpha-release-gear-t2941977
reply to just about any app with android wear support.
The app is cool but all he notifications come in one location and icon ?

You are correct, that is a limitation of the Samsung tools.
Also Facebook Messenger too!

I also noticed this for Facebook Messenger. You can Reply.
Does anyone know how/if there is a way to prevent notifications from appearing on top of the watch face?
With my original Moto 360 / Android Wear, there was an option to disable this. You could still scroll down to see your notifications and still get vibrate notifications to let you know you got something new. But the notification would not cover the watch face. Any ideas?
This is usually an option on the actual watch face you are using. If there is no option, the watch face probably just has a default that you can't change.
If you are using stock faces from Android Wear, open the app on your phone, select the cog by your watch, then select your watch under your device settings. Scroll down to Card settings and if you want previews to appear.

Thank you! I didn't know there was another menu when I tap my device from the settings menu. This fixes everything, thanks!
Struggling with this also. Nothing stops the watch from blasting a HUGE notification on my screen. This is seriously a major flaw in android wear. They need to copy what the Apple watch does. If you arent looking at your watch, the notification shouldn't show on the screen. When you LOOK at the watch, poof, there it is.
Its getting annoying having everyone reading text messages on my wrist when I receive them. Even if I block the content of the message, they can still see I am receiving one, how often, and their contact picture.
This is seriously a major privacy issue.
