Nexus 4 running CM11 with Xposed 2.7 experimental 1.
Events are not shown in CM default calendar app once greenify 2.6.2 is installed. Neither calendar nor calendar storage is hibernated. Even degreenify all apps including all system apps can't fix it. Same problem was found in google calendar app.
Problem is gone when uninstalled/freezing greenify or rolling back to ver. 2.6 beta 3.
Anyone help?

Email notification (stock email app from gapps corresponding to cm9.1.0) does not get displayed in status bar. It doesn't even get checked. Emails arrive only once I open the app manually. I did check "enable norifications" and check every 5 mins. The same setup works fine on stock rom. I also tried aokp jb milestone rom, and there it also didn't work. I have a feeling I am doing something wrong. Does anyone have an idea?

Had some probs like this with notifications from FB or G+ Messengers....
Never had the CM9.1, but maybe it's the same.
So only thing helped was to flash another Rom.
and updating to a newer release later.
Nobody knows why this happened.
Maybe u try it for urself, too. (f.ex. with CM10)

Well, I did try. I flashed the AOKP JB Milestone 1. And it was the same thing. Stock email app notifications were not working. So I started to think that I am doing something wrong.

Notifaction is activ, right?
Do u set something on a kernel spacific app?
ExTweaks for example?
Well, I did turn on notification in email app. And other notifications (missed calls, sms, calendar...) are working. I'm not aware of any general notification switch within CM9.1.0.
I don't have ExTweaks isntalled;

Nothign special except the "Dev tool" but maybe u never used it or at lest not for something important now.
Last option is that the prob is kernel related so...
Maybe u can try to flash another kernel? (f.ex. Dorimanx [if already on JB Rom the v7.16, otherwise the v5.92])
Sorry for no better idea for now.

Hey buddy, I had this issue appear randomly when I started using JB roms. Nothing I tried worked but then I found a solution online, give it a try and let me know if it works.
Just go to settings > data usage then press your menu button and make sure you tick auto sync data.
God knows why it started happening but this sorted it straightway away and I finally started getting my emails pushed through ok hit thanks if I helped.

I go it. It was me after all. Unlike stock ROM, and CM7 ROMs, CM9/10 and AOPK ROMs actually add accounts for individual provider that you use with stock email app. And since I never use any sync, I have it turned off. And that actually turned off yahoo and gmail email accounts too. Once I got the sync for yahoo and gmail on, the notifications started to work.
Actually, this probably has nothing to do with ROM, but gapps, which tend to come different for each ROM.
By the way, did you check settings -> accounts -> google -> click on [email protected] and at the bottom tick gmail.
It will sync then
That's what I'm talking about. It's not always there. Sometimes it is within google account. Sometimes it is in separate [email protected] account. Sometimes there is no sync for it at all. Depending on gapps you get.
I have encountered a problem on several different android phones. calendars are disappearing if I install+uninstall the Google Calendar App (the official one)
Steps to reproduce:
install some calendar app (i.e. Business calendar)
install Google Calendar
make sure that your google calendars are shown correctly in both apps.
uninstall google calendar
Now the calendars have disappeared from the other calendar app and there is no way to add them again (they are not showing up in the list).
I have seen the problem on Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Note3, Nexus4+5, HTC One
Installing the Google calendar app again makes it possible to first re-enable the calendars in Google Calendar app and then they are again possible to add in the other calendar apps.
Is there a way to fix this without having to have the google calendar app installed (dont want it installed as it is a huge BatteryHog using 30-40% of my battery for "StartingAlarmService").

And finally I found a working solution myself (of cause only after posting my question here after a lot of testing).
The simple fix (for others with the problem) is:
- go into setting-> applications manager -> all
- Find Calendar Storage
- clear cache+data and force stop
- wait a few minutes as the service will resync calendar data.
Now the calendars are available again
Thanks so much
Thanks man it helped me after some searching

Hi,
I was wondering what options are there in AOSP 5.1 roms to have my Microsoft Exchange email account up 'n' running? I tried adding the latest Microsoft exchange services app, my account seems to be set up through Gmail app but in reality, no emails show up in any folder and whenever I manually synchronize there's an exchange services force close error... Do I need the old email app? And if so, do I also need the separate services app?
Thanks
I just installed com.google.android.gm.exchange-6.5-1729047-500065-minAPI19.apk and com.google.android.gm-5.1.89745174-51001549-minAPI14.apk from the Apkmirror. It works for me (Exchange 2010).
The first file you mention is the exact same file I installed as well. Not the second one though, could that be the reason it's FCing?
I had the same Problem with the previous gmail version now it disappeared. Google updated the gmail version in the play store yesterday. I think you can use that version also. It should be the same.
I installed the MS exchange services file but the problem seems to be with the gmail app. For some reason, I am running com.google.android.gm 5.0.1 1642443, doesn't sound right for a 5.1 rom does it?
Your version is the one from play store. My version is 5.1.89745174 from apkmirror try this one.

Exchange Services 6.5-1729047 mail sync overheating phone
My phone is overheating with the update to Exchange Services update (6.5-1729047) which I downloaded from APKMIRROR. I am also using Gmail 5.1.89745174 . I'm running CM12 nightly.
Exchange Services is taking upwards of 16% of battery. Had to disable mail sync to cool it down. Calendar and contacts seem to be working ok, but had to revert to Aquamail for email.
Anyone with similar experiences?
HI
Is there a list of apps tested to be safe/unsafe for hibernating?
Sometimes it's not sure even if the app has GCM blue cloud icon on the right.
Has anybody experienced problems with greenifying Pushbullet app? (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pushbullet.android)
Older Greenify client reported unable to hibernate this app (supporting GCM)
Now it hibernates (Greenify guessinlgy improved?) but I experience problems with random unlinking from Google account and losing access to notifications). Can anybody confirm.......
hi all,
I have a very strange problem with my S4 mini, and I'm out of ideas after hours of google, xda and troubleshooting. First of all, I'm travelling, therefore a factory reset is not an option at the moment.
I'm on the latest nightly of CM12.1 with gapps installed.
Everything was working fine until yesterday. Here's what happened:
I always used the CM12.1 stock email app. So my girlfriend wanted to check her gmail, therefore (to keep my mail app clean) I installed the official gmail app. After installation I signed in with her gmail address and password. After that the gmail app crashed. I then noticed that my contact list on the phone all of a sudden included her google contacts as well (she had an android device with a google account some time ago, so her former contacts are still synced with her account).
I removed the gmail app again, and now it seems my google account on the phone is broken. I can't use any google services anymore:
- PlayStore just opens a white screen for half a second, then closes without error
- Maps, Fit, Youtube, etc. all say I have to install google playstore to function, but playstore is installed already ("this app won't run without google play services, which are missing from your phone")
- When I go to Settings>Accounts there is no google account and no option to add a google account
What I tried:
- I cleared app data/cache for googleservicesframework and playstore
- I did dalvic/cache wipe
- I re-installed the gmail app which caused all the trouble, but can't sign in with google account anymore in the app (neither with mine nor hers)
- I updated to a newer nightly
- I flashed gapps again
- I used a gapps removal script from xda
I'm completely lost. nothing seems to work.
Thank you in advance for your help
