Hi all,
I've changed the firmware of my htc one M7_UL and now it does not boot anymore. I press the power button and nothing happens, the screen stays off. Even Power+VolDown does nothing. Even the red light stays off when I put it into charge.
Aaaaa help me please! Thanks a lot

Bluegrass Cellular, HTC Merge (ADR6325) stuck in bootloop?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Ill try to make this nice and simple.
Carrier: Bluegrass Cellular
Phone: HTC Merge
Model: ADR6325
1. Not rooted
2. S-ON
What happened before:
I was playing an app (Dark Summoner to be specific) and the game froze up completely randomly. Touch, volume rocker and power button all unresponsive. I left it alone for a few minutes, no change, so I pulled the battery.
After replacing the battery and rebooting the phone (everything started normal) I selected the drop down menu. The phone then became 100% unresponsive again, so a moment later I pulled the battery again.
After rebooting a 3rd time, the OS didnt start up. The splash screen loaded (both the HTC screen and the carrier screen) then there was just a backlit black screen. Left alone for a few minutes, no change. Pulled battery.
Whats going on:
When starting the phone normally, it doesnt get past the HTC splash screen. It stays there for a few minutes, then reboots to the bootloader screen.
Whats on the screen:

What Ive tried:
I have tried fastbooting, power down and rebooting normally, recovery and factory reset. Recovery and Factory reset seem to do nothing at all, both boot methods just send me back to the bootloader in the end.
What I want to do:
Besides getting my phone back to working order, I just want to keep my photos and videos, but since those are on the SD card, that shouldnt be a problem.
Thanks again for any help, guys! Ive searched for two days, but I seem to have made the mistake of buying an unpopular phone model. Needless to say I love having the keyboard, but will probably not make this mistake again.

Freeze Bootloader. How can I power down the HTC ONE?

Pitrick said:
Running 2.24.401.1 here on a Rogers (Canada) HTC One...getting the OTA as simple as:
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem writecid HTC__102
fastboot reboot
Get the OTA
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem writecid ROGER001
fastboot reboot
Voilà! Always go back to ROGER001 to get the LTE icon!
EDIT: 2.24.401.1 is not the current official Rogers software version...but I converted my phone to the international software using S-Off (revone), changing cid/mid, installing int. RUU.

EDIT: did you try? fastboot reboot
If you are S-ON on HBoot 1.54...I'm pretty sure you can't writecid but I'm no pro on the subject.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I try fastboot reboot, but "waiting for device".
Code:
C:\fastboot>fastboot reboot
< waiting for device >
Still frozen in the bootloader

The battery is discharged, I power on the phone and the bootloader start correctly. Thanks for your answers Pitrick! Greetings!
Just in case this happens again. When the phone refuses to shut off when holding the power button, you can flash a light over the light sensors and hold the power button. The phone will force shut down.
For some ODD reason that works. Read around and you'll see all the cases of this actually working. Why? I have no idea, but it does. LoL!!
The light trick prevents the phone from being rebooted in a pocket should the power button get depressed accidentally. It's a smart feature.

fastboot oem writecid causes Bootloader freeze
Can someone explain what caused this error and Bootloader Freeze?
Code:
C:\fastboot>fastboot oem writecid HTC__102
...
(bootloader) [SD_ERR] The project does not support SD card
(bootloader) E0902910 E0902E20
FAILED (status read failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 0.010s
I too have tried using fastboot oem writecid and get the same error and frozen Bootloader. My CID is currently VODAP001 and I want to change it to 11111111 so I can flash some newer firmware. I'm Unlocked and S-ON.
Incidentally I have found when the Bootloader freezes all you have to do is hold the power button down for a good 10-15seconds and it'll power-off.

I discovered that the reason I cant writecid is because i'm S-ON. And because i'm on hboot 1.54 I cant S-OFF. And i cant find a nandroid backup or RUU for the CID=VODAP001 so I cant revert to stock to allow me to change hboot and/or S-OFF. So i'm stuck waiting on some genius coming up with a way to S-OFF hboot 1.54.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I have the same problem.....
Yes. You want to use RumRunner. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2488772
I have a similar problem, my HTC one x is stuck in the boot screen! It will turn itself on, show the boot screen, vibrate and go black and it keeps repeating this cycle over and over until the battery runs out! I have tried the light trick, have tried pressing the power button, tried pressing power button and volume down but I can never get it to turn off and I can never get it past the boot screen either. Someone please help!

You might have a better response if you post in the HTC One X forum.

[Q] HTC Incredible 4G Won't Boot; Software prob; PRO Needed

I attempted to Root my HTC Incredible 4G phone and I really screwed things up. The problem arose when I tried to load another ROM. It didn't work and I then began to try to load a lot of other programs with no success. Anyway, this is what I know:
** When I boot the phone, I get a white screen that lists "HTC quietly brilliant" and "This build is for development purposes only. Do not distribute...". It stays on this screen for about a minute and then goes to a black screen and freezes there.
** When I hold Power button and Volume Down: I get the Bootloader screen, but at first I see that it attempts to load PJ53DIAG and PJ53IMG. Each lists "No Image" or "Wrong Image".
** In Bootloader, if I select Recovery with the external SD card in, I get a screen with a small pic of a green arrow and circle and then after a few seconds there's a red triangle with an exclamation over the phone pic.
** Nothing happens when I hold down Power button and Volume Up button.
** It seems that I can load files on the external SD card.
** The phone does not appear in My Computer when connected with a USB (is seen in device mgr though)
So, is there a way to resolve this? Is there a way to load a new program as recovery, PJ53DIAG.ZIP, OR PJ53IMG.ZIP? What zip would this be?
This is what info is listed on my bootloader screen:

[Q] [HELP] Stuck in bootloop, can't access recovery

I tried to flash a ROM a while back, and it messed up my phone. When turning it on and not doing anything else, it gets stuck on the white HTC One screen (with the Beats logo at the bottom). If I hold the power and volume down button, it vibrates, displays the Quietly Brilliant screen, goes black, and does it again and again. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off, except to let the battery die.
I tried to run this RUU:
RUU M7 UL JB 50 Cingular US 1.26.502.12 Radio 4A.14.3250.13 10.33.1150.01 Release 318450 Signed 2
and it gives me error 170 (USB connection error). When plugged in to the computer, it shows up as a CD drive, and I can't really find anything relevant in the device manager.
What should I do?
