Stuck at the S6 Edge boot screen... - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I tried editing the build.prop file to fix the memory issues.
When I rebooted I got stuck at the "Galaxy S6 Edge" screen.
Neither restoring the original build.prop and giving the correct CHMOD nor reflashing the (stock) firmware solved the issue.
What the hell should I try else? :crying:
Please help...

Did you try booting into recovery mode then a performing a hard factory data reset? That fixed my issues when I got stuck at that screen.

I actually sorted out by flashing a new firmware.
It came out that the previous file was corrupted...

[Q] S5839i - Soft brick boot loop?

Hi all,
I'm trying to recover a Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i, alas to no avail so far. Here are the symptoms
• It was being used to play a game, suddenly became very sluggish, game was exited and the phone shorty after froze on the menu.
• Phone is completely stock, unrooted etc
• Now, the samsung logo shows, the blue screen animation starts, and then reverts back to samsung logo etc. Stuck in a boot loop !
• So far, flashing has only be done with Odin, and without an SDcard present.
• I've tried doing a full reset and wipe partition cache before flashing anything; I've also tried it again a few times in between versions.
Here is what I have done so far :
• Flashed different versions of the OS, all legitimate, from both S5830i and S5839i - CSC, modem and PDA files
• As a last resort (so far), I even tried flashing the bootloader and added the .pit file to flash, both of those being from an "unbrick tutorial".
Quite frankly, this is as far as I can go before asking for advice. After flashing a clean rom with odin, this is the message I get upon reboot :
It then reboots and starts looping again... It this related?
What might the next steps be?
Many thanks for your time,
Tony

If it is in the guarantee time give it for repair and say it is not opening and since you didn't rooted it would not be a speck of resistance from their side I suppose
My deep sympathy with you
Flash xxla4 repacked firmware from the unbrick tutorial thread along with the boot loader file..no need pit.Use Odin 3.04 .I got the exact same error and solved it by the above method.Hope it works for you!

Nothing to be afraid for if you're using the right file.
Well, as it happens, the phone got stolen, so I never got to try the repartition. As least I reconcile in the fact the thieves stole a bricked phone...
Thanks anyhow for the advice and help.

Your device is soft bricked. You have to restore stock ROM via ODIN.
Also note that themes of a custom ROM doesn't work on stock rom! If you install one of them then your phone will be unstable.

[Q] Can't restore to stock?

I have had my S3 for about 6 months now and everything has been fine, I rooted it about 3 months ago and ran the cyanogenmod everything was fine until a couple of nights ago when it wouldn't turn in and i was stuck on the samsung startup screen, I could get into recovery mode where i did a factory reset and loaded a back up, no luck. so i flashed the stock firmware and still only the startup screen.
I have managed to start the device after using this rom in odin "CheckROM_V4_LG8.tar" However i have no imei and it is stuck in factory mode, the original firmware still doesn't work when flashed.
Thanks in advance

Flash, reset, flash, reset. For some reason samsungs retain data from previous roms so do as above.
Beamed in by telepathy.
Found a fix!
After following shivadow's post, remove the .md5 extentnion from the end of the firmware file from sammobile, extract the firmware file, and image ONLY the boot.img file.

Bricked galaxy s2 GT-I9100

I have a Galaxy S2 with a custom rom, after a year the s2 won't boot. Only I see encryption failed. I have tried to get in the recovery menu but won't work. Now the phone hangs on samsung logo.
Not possible to get in recovery, downloadmode works.
If I try to flash in Odin it fails or hangs. I have tried different stock roms and odin versions and got not succes. I have read about Nand rw corruption. Is it possible and how can I fix it ?
Need help!

hi delimavi1981,
I'm in the exact same situation. my s2 rebooted right after I lunched the camera, then complained about an encryption failure and asked me if I want to do a factory restore which I refused, hoping that this will go away on turning off the phone and turning it on again. unfortunately, now I can only get to download mode where Odin keeps failing or getting stuck!
should I consider this a hardware failure and go for a new phone or possibly a change of motherboard or there are some softwaric hopes?!!
thx
S
software failure, flash a stock rom from odin will fix that
Visit this thread....

If it's not in that guide, it's not worth trying.

If it runs good in safe mode without any reboots or bootloops then it is an app causing the issue. Find the app and uninstall it

I would try stock firmware first, if that doesn't work try custom ROM. Then of reboots still happen it's looking like emmc failure.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F) Bootloop

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to working with Samsung devices and have an issue I cannot get my head round.
Long story short, I am attempting to move back to stock on my S6 Edge using the sammobile firmware for S6 Edge EE (G925FXXU5EQG7_G925FEVR5EQG1_EVR) however I'm fairly sure I've screwed something up as the only screens I can access are the Odin Downloading screen and when I (successfully according to Odin) flash the file it sits on the SAMSUNG screen flashing. One previous thread suggested that this was normal as it was rebuilding the firmware and can take 10-20 mins but it's been sitting on that screen for 2 hours now.
Can anyone help?
Cheers
