Hi guys.
Ok so for those who have rooted, here is my solution that I have done to bring them back.
1st thing is do download SQl editor:
SQl editor
there are some free ones!
open app and go to apps bar, then scroll down to settings storage and open that.
then click on settings.db, then system and then search for "notification" then look at _id: 3469.
click on that and then look at top the pencil button, click it. Then copy the whole value string...
and then once copied go back to _id 102 and do the same, click on it and then pencil and click...
then highlight the whole value string and replace it with the value you copied earlier, save and reboot.
for not rooted
Samsung Italy on Twitter tell that we must reset the s6 with factory data reset. they are crazy!!!!

Fixed it using this method, just that ids were different values. Basically you copy every value from "notification panel active app list reset" to "notification panel active app list" save and reboot
In my case they were ids 103 and 14243.
Ue the enable all notification toggles option in Galaxy Tools. Root required. Worked for me.

It worked for me when I deleted the notification_panel_active_app_list. Tried to edit it and reboot, but didn't work. But when I deleted it and rebooted, the buttons were back! Don't touch the "notification_panel_active_app_list_for_reset", just the "notification_panel_active_app_list"!
Thanks for great tip!
So apparently this is some built in feature within lollipop of expiring quick setting toggles you don't use after 30 days. Coincidentally i've had my phone for about 30 days. I guess most people here had their phone around the same time, which is why you are now experiencing this problem. Stupid programming, stupid features, not enough user control!!! I hope there is a non-root solution for all us unrooted folk.
Check out this crap:
Source: ( http://www.androidbeat.com/2014/11/...isappear-quick-settings-android-5-0-lollipop/ )
Unused tiles will automatically disappear from Quick Settings in Android 5.0 Lollipop
Google has given Quick Settings a major revamp with Android 5.0 Lollipop and filled it with useful toggles that people actually use in day-to-day life. One neat little feature that the company has added in Lollipop for Quick Settings is that unused items will automatically disappear after a certain time.
For example, if you don’t use W-Fi hotspot quick tile in Lollipop for a certain amount of time, it will automatically disappear. Similarly, if you frequently use an option from the Settings menu, it will automagically appear as a tile in Quick Settings.
However, Google does not provide a way to bring back a toggle that is removed, or remove one that comes up automatically.
As pointed out on Reddit by user eak125 though, you can fast forward, or go back a month or two in time to remove any unwanted toggles. To remove an unused toggle, simply head over to Settings -> Date & Time and change the date to a month from now. The unused quick tile will then automatically disappear. Do note though that the default toggles in Lollipop will always be present no matter what.
There is also another way to reset the Quick Settings tile using ADB, but the process is more cumbersome than the one pointed out by eak125.
Considering how limited quick settings was in KitKat, it is nice to see that Google has added such thoughtful new features to it in Lollipop to enhance its usability.

What is WkTASK?
WkTASK shares features of both Task Manager and Program Launcher for Windows Mobile. You can switch all running programs smoothly like desktop Windows, and launch applications easily. Not only stylus operation but also key operation is available. Although the look & feel closely matches the theme color and make the 3D gradation, its CPU and memory usage are low.
Features
Task-list
Using the upper bar, you can watch, switch, close and force termination running programs.
To exclude a task from the list, tap&hold it and select 'Hide'.
X button
Using the X button, you can use some actions as follows:
Tap: really close
Tap&Hold: show context menu
Drag: some gestures (To minimize, drag toward down. To show Today, drag toward left.)
Program Launcher
Using key or tap, You can launch some applications, functions and contacts(phone call or e-mail).
Key operation
To shift the Key operation mode, double-execute WkTask.exe or WkTaskCmd.exe(recommended because of smaller size). Some start options are available too.
Brightness/Volume controller
You can control them in real time with key or tap.
Other functions rotation, suspend, reboot, network connection, etc.
Preferences
To customize, it has a great deal of parameters. Enjoy your self!

Hey,
Great software. Two things though. First, when activated by vertical drag the launcher shows but hides immediately after lifting the stylus to tap an application. Second, is there a way to adjust the hight of the task bar? It leaves a few pixels from the top and bottom and when I click the start menu white shadow shows behind the bar.
Thanks,
dEM
Anyone..?
i've been using WkTask for about a week.
If i use the launcher it stays ther so i can tap as many boxes as i want. Its not a feature i use though so have not loaded any apps into it.
dont think you can resize the task bar, but that said i have not noticed any white lines. (apart fromthe battary life indicator cross the top)

Stupid me! Thanx!
In my Taskbar I have ActiveSync listed and one other executable which I would like to hide because if they are active all the time, there isn't much point in having them displayed (when I terminate both of them, they come straight back).
What is the path to disable AS from the taskmanager as it does not show up when I look for it from within WkTask?
Also, I presume the executable is TF3D as when I terminate that, TF3D closes and restarts. Anyone know how to hide that executable if it TF3D?

Hold your stylus on the app you want to hide and after a second a menu pops up where you can choose to always hide it. There is an option in the preferences 1st page to 'always show' so that must be switched off as well.
The TF3D app is named 'Start', repeat the above for it too.
Holding the stylus on the close button also beings up a menu which includes the option of hiding.
Excellent, thanks, worked a treat.
Regards

Tonality, a new application for consolidating the various hidden sound events deep within the registry that would have been otherwise very difficult for you to access and modify.
Currently allows you to modify 52 different sound events, but grants you the ability to add others which you or other users may find, which are unique to certain devices.
» All Screenshots
Features
» Rotation and Resolution aware, should adapt for display on any screen type.
» Displays every wav file on your device, no matter where they are stored.
» Allows you to add non-standard sounds such as mp3s if your device supports them
Requirements
» Any Windows Mobile touch screen device
» .NET v3.5 Compact Framework (Available from the Tonality downloads page)
Cost
» FREE! (Although donations are appreciated, no matter how small)
Downloads
» All versions
Looks great! Im giving it a try now.. Thanks for your work.
T M Z
Just a quick note:
I forgot to mention that I would appreciate constructive criticism for both the program's interface, and the operation of Tonality.
I want to make this program as simple to use as possible, whilst maintaining functionality and performance acceptable.
Thanks,
Joe
I'll be loading it on my Touch Vogue today. I'll get you a full report today.

In theory, it should already work on a smartphone... in *theory*... The only problem will be navigating around the menus if it works.
Would you mind trying to install the copy which is already available, and post your results here, errors or sucess.
If it doens't work as is, i've got smartphone images for the emulator, so I should be able to cunjur up a simple port of the touch screen version for you.
It loads, but I can't select anything from the main list, the program is ignoring my actions.
Tonality is saying that I have some sort of registry problem that it needs to correct.. just out of curiosity what is the issue it needs to fix?

The issue is with how windows stores the values used for system sounds. There is, by default, a scheme set called "curr0" in the registry. The "issue" which needs correcting is this entry, which is changed to ".brins0net_Tonality", the entry which I use to preserve the users previous custom modifications. The other "issue" is that the entry which I set the scheme to may not have been created, which is why it happens when you first run the application...
I hope this answers your queston

Try pressing the "action" (Center) button twice on the entry you want to select. I have the "item Activate" event set to "Double Tap" which may be why you can't activate anything.
If pressing the action button twice doesn't fix it for you, then it's just a simple change. The problem is however, that for touch device users, it will be easier to accidentally select an event to change.
Can I enable the start menu click sound with this application?

I love it thank you very much. Works perfect on my Sprint TP with Conflippers rom. It did have to do the fix thats mentioned but everything works.
A stop button and a better looking GUI is all it needs in my opinion. if you want to take it to a higher level then maybe an audio trimmer like MP3 trimmer
This sounds very interesting. I am going to try it on my TyTN II. Can it be installed on memory card or must it be installed to main memory?
I installed this and tried it out but not useful to me as the sound names cannot be seen as a result of sub-directories etc. It seems to have removed certain previous sound events eg. for pop-up menus etc. I uninstalled and still no pop-up menu sounds as before. I have soft reset and the original sound has been changed. How do I rectify this?
Whats' the difference between Tonality and your previous app. Event Sounds? Keep up the good work!
Mick.
thanks, it helped me, my phone is silent now!!!!!!!!
no plays any of sounds of buttons
I was wondering if there is anyway to make more applications show up for this earphones connected prompt in my notification drop down. If there isn't, is there a way to disable it completely? It is really not helpful without giving me like google music or something else as an option.

Also somewhat related, does the galaxy s3 have support for lock screen music controls? I know it was a ICS default feature. It doesn't show for Google Play Music (or whatever it's name is at this point).
I also would like to add Google music and iheart radio in that menu. Any ideas? I am currently rooted using stock ROM
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Just figured I should mention this, I put this rom on: and now I got more options, probably the stock options. It would be awesome to make this configurable in the future. I think a lot of us are getting ahead on expectations in development right now with this locked down bootloader, as it is still in the way of custom kernels and such. I think many of the capable dev's are busy trying to figure out how to fully unlock this device.
Heres an idea, I might give this one a try:
based off this: http://www.s3forums.com/forum/galaxy-s3-hacking-mods/874-hack-remove-wifi-reminder.html
edit this:
ContextAwareService -> logDatabase.db -> appLogTable
This appears to be holding the same shortcuts that the headphones plugged in thing brings up. When I plug in my headphones it crashes the SQLite Editor if I am viewing the database at the same time. Which leads me to believe it is making use of the sqlite database.
Edit:
indeed, I deleted the google talk as an option and it no longer shows when I plug in the headphones.
Update on progress:
I found the touchwiz home database which gave me the launch commands for different applications. I think I can add whichever I want to that database list in the same format at this point. Phone is doing a nandroid backup before I go any further. Here are the screen shots, and it was located in:
TouchWiz home -> launcher.db -> appOrder
Is there a hide/spoiler/resize option for the images? They are kind of large...
Got it working. =)
So I'll try to write up a better how to in the next few days. But these screen shots should be sufficient for now I figure. Here is proof it is working:
quick side note: notice the number skips 9 (what gtalk used to occupy). I would probably just edit gtalk to become Play Music, instead of deleting as I did.
__
__
edit:
Quick observation, anyone notice the fm radio option is default in the database? Not sure if that is because of the rom, or if included with even the stock Verizon.

I would like to know to remove the option completely too...as it takes too much space in drop-down notification
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I'll do a nandroid backup and see if deleting the entries removes it cleanly. I suspecting the icon will still be there and such. Seems like a poor way to remove it even if it does work, I imagine the process will still run and such even if it doesn't show in notification bar. Giving it a shot in a little bit though.
Quick report back while I restore:
At first, it actually restored the original options after I deleted all entries. If I want into another table within the database and set the value to 0, then deleted the entries they would stay gone. Although they still allocated the same space it just didn't show them. I'll provide screenshots shortly.
Screenshots:
First attempt repopulated the default options:
Second attempt:
First go to 'sqllite seq' and set 'appLogTable' equal to 0:
Once again delete all the entries
Then you get this:
So even worse than I suspected. I thought it would at least allocate some extra space in the notification drop down. It takes up the same room, it is just blank now.
Made the how to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28986432#post28986432
freezing the contextaware service gets rid of it showing from the notifications at all
I forget who discovered this but it wasnt me
Official K-9 Mail (or basically any other email clients) doesn't run on Wear OS because of missing WebView component. This modification of K-9 replaces WebView with TextView (among few other tweaks) that makes it usable on Wear OS (fetch messages, navigate folders, read & send mail).
There's Mail client from appfour but it requires phone companion app and doesn't work "standalone". Having an option to occasionally check emails from watch (with cellular module) is the primary reason for this modification (and leaving phone powered off or at home).

It's still rough around the edges (some features may crash/not work or be hard to reach) but this is the first version and it allows me to read emails (tested with Gmail, was able to send email as well; on Huawei Watch 2). Newsletters obviously won't work as only the text part of emails is rendered.
Let me know what you think. I do not plan on any major UI rework but I can fix thing or two (if there are some fellow watch only users ).
TIP: Consider using "adb shell input text" for entering complex strings during account setup.

Thank you, it would be great if those with crowns (scroll wheel) on the side of our watches could use it when reading an email. It currently works when looking at the inbox but not reading the email it self. Anyway to implement this?
Regardless thanks for taking the time to do this.
UPDATE: Actually whats weird is if I open a notification and read the email the crown works. If I go to an email through the app it does not. Oh well I can live with reading from tapping on the notification which is what I do most the time anyways.
Anyone know of a way to import k-9 mail settings to the watch?
I exported them from my phone and transferred it to my watch but when I hit import settings on the watch it says there is "no application can handle this process"

Now I know that Wear OS is also missing the component (chooser) for selecting/opening files. It should be possible to replace that with 3rd party library (something like https://github.com/spacecowboy/NoNonsense-FilePicker). IMHO this is a niche feature so I won't be fixing that any time soon.

I thought about that but I still think that this app (and mainly its interface) is too much for people coming from Play Store (and expecting nice UI). Plus K-9 itself is still missing support for runtime permissions which means it's currently not publishable on the Play Store (without some work, though there are some pull requests on github).
Whoa!
I'm K-9's original creator, though I haven't been involved in the project in a while.
I just wanted to stop by to say that this is awesome. Nicely done.

Great to hear directly from you, Jesse. K-9 running on Wear OS is mostly unchanged from its latest upstream, just few lines changes here and there (one patched library takes most of the patch - to fix placing of software keyboard). It wouldn't be possible without you and K-9 - thank you for that. :good:

I've just uploaded v2 which improves few things:
Extra padding at the bottom when reading email
Full screen keybord for entering email address
Easier pull to refresh
Hide unsupported search
Move (dangerous) delete action from bar to menu
It's just the actual changes made to the source code. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patch_(Unix)
Access this app Settings via the top right "More options" menu (not fully visible but reasonably well tappable) and look for "Add account".
One has to use "adb" to push apk directly to the watch or using phone as proxy. Search for a friendly guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-to-sideload-apks-android-wear-watch-t3726276

where is the more options menu? all that is in the top right is the sync button.
The app is still running great on Samsung Watch 4 LTE.
I have used the following to change the sound that is played when the charger is plugged in.
Code:
settings put global wireless_charging_started_sounds "/storage/emulated/0/Notifications/Road Runner - Meep Meep.mp3";
settings put global charging_started_sound "/storage/emulated/0/Notifications/Road Runner - Meep Meep.mp3";
I do the above via a shell, it can also be done via ADB.
@DiamondJohn
Thanks for your advice, has worked excellently on Pixel 4a.
Is it possible via a command to turn off the screen by double clicking on the status bar? My former smartphone Motorola X Play from 2015 had this feature and I miss it.

I use a VERY customize-able launcher. Its called Lightning Launcher, its a paid app but the default setup when you get it is crap. I have used it since Gingerbread and never looked back. BUT you can really do whatever your want. Including adding code. And rotating widgets and/or icons and stretching them etc etc etc
I have put gestures (ie associate code/scripts) which gestures on widgets/hidden hotspots. So, for example, if I click the left hand side of one wide widget, it acts normally and opens the weather details. However, if I click the right side, I run a script that hibernates select apps (basically all ) and then TURNS THE SCREEN OFF. I use this method instead of tapping my power button. Its easier as its on the screen I am using when I want to turn it off,and on a previous phone (Nexus 5) thepower button became notorious for failing on most.
Attached are the the scripts and the config file where I add/edit which apps to hibernate. It also has an include to renice the live wallpaper to the background
I also have it where I swipe up on another widget and it turns AOD on and swipe down turns it off. VERY handy being able to switch it on temporarily when I need to be somewhere on time and want too leave it to the last minute and know how long I got till I have to get moving.

I hate posting screen shots of my home screen, as the wallpaper is a live wall paper of the solar system, and its beautiful! as it flys between and orbits planets and sees the earth and its orbiting moon. A static image really does it injustice.
PS: My phone is also a Pixel 4A (non 5g)
Is there a certain command that can bebused in the same way to change Lock and Unlock sounds as well as touch sound? Thanks

I have not tested it, but I ran a report on all settings using the app TeMeFI and filtered it down to ones that have the word "sound" in it, and this gave the following list:
Code:
File: * LAST UNSAVED RESULTS * SEP=============================;
Include: sound
charging_sounds_enabled=1
sync_parent_sounds=0
lockscreen_sounds_enabled=1
notification_sound=content://[email protected]/external/audio/media/5028
notification_sound_set=1
sound_effects_enabled=1
car_dock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Dock.ogg
car_undock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Undock.ogg
charging_started_sound=/storage/emulated/0/Notifications/Road Runner - Meep Meep.mp3
desk_dock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Dock.ogg
desk_undock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Undock.ogg
dock_sounds_enabled=0
dock_sounds_enabled_when_accessbility=0
lock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Lock.ogg
low_battery_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/LowBattery.ogg
low_battery_sound_timeout=0
max_sound_trigger_detection_service_ops_per_day=1000
power_sounds_enabled=1
sound_trigger_detection_service_op_timeout=15000
trusted_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Trusted.ogg
unlock_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/Unlock.ogg
wireless_charging_started_sound=/product/media/audio/ui/ChargingStarted.ogg
wireless_charging_started_sounds=/storage/emulated/0/Notifications/Road Runner - Meep Meep.mp3
So I would say yes. (see lock_sound & unlock_sound). Touch sound may require a magisk module.

Nice! Thanks! I will try this. The touch sound is actually named Effect.tick.ogg I believe but still should be possible, thanks for the help!

What I am saying, it does not appear to be in the "settings", irrelevant of what its called. As I said, it will be possible using Magisk, I just did not find it in settings.

That's awesome! Do you think it would work the same for all Android phones or is it only for stock Android on Pixels? Asking since Samsung use their own launcher with themed system sounds.
Thanks!

I have changed to a Custom A11 Rom (Bliss), and it works. This ROM covers multiple devices.
Thank you! Does this method need root access?

I do it in a boot script, which has root, and everything i test I also default to running as root. Your going to need to test it yourself.
So Boys, how to changing it,I'm locking for the default charging sound, I using Android 11, and not able to know which program to use, also tried some cmd apps from app store, I wanna try to change, to make my own sound at the charging, I Also used Battery Sound Notification ( Device Dooge S97Pro)
