[Q] Gear fit failed to connect - Samsung Gear Fit

I am so frustrated by this piece of turd, I have tried odin firmware to bn8, and to the newest firmware, but nothing seems to work!
I am on a s6 edge, and the gear fit used to connect with my note 4 seamlessly.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS the only way I can get anything to work is to use the patched lollipop gfm version, but that manger is on 1.49 and nothing works but the clock.

I fixed it!
With the new samsung gear fit manager update on june 16th just flash the newest firmware oa2 onto your gear fit and everything will connect perfectly on your s6/edge!

Hi,
Can you please explain me how to do the flash that you mention? I have a S6 and nothing work.

Hello
I have the same Problem with my Samsung Galaxy Gear fit and Galaxy S7.

[Q] Help with Clockwork Recovery installation on Galaxy Player 5.0 (YP-G70)

To start off this post, I am very sorry if this has already been posted/answered on here. I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find it.
Okay, onto the question. I recently installed ROM Manager on my Galaxy Player 5.0 (YP-G70) It has the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom, not a physical button, if that helps clarify which device I have at all. Anyway, when I go into Rom manager to Flash clockwork recovery, It asks me to confirm the phone model. I get a list with these phones (and this is all of them)...
Galaxy Tab - ATT
Samsung Charge
Samsung Epic4G
Samsung Galaxy S 4G
Samsung Galaxy Tab (T-Mobile)
Samsung Galaxy Tab (VZW)
Samsung GalaxyS Captivate
Samsung GalaxyS Fascinate
Samsung GalaxyS Vibrant
Samsung GalaxyS i9000
Samsung Indulge 910
Samsung Indulge 915
Samsung Sidekick 4G
Obviously, Samsung galaxy player is not on this list. I don't know which one to choose. I know I have seen other Galaxy Player 5.0 users (on youtube tutorials etc...) with the same player I have, and I have made sure that Rom Manager is updated in case there were updates including my version, but it turned out that I was already up-to-date.
If you can help me out in any way, thank you.

First off, you have the USA model (with all capacitive [light up] buttons). To my knowledge, there is no support for the Galaxy Player (any model) in the ROM Manager app. I am not sure what YouTube videos you are referring to, and I am equally unsure of what they would have been talking about in those videos. The only way I can think of that you could tweak the device to make ROM Manager compatible is to change the device ID in the build.prop file in system root. And, I am not sure if that is OK to do, or not.
Sorry I could not give you a more definitive answer on that front.
As for CWM recovery, you have to use the software, ODIN to flash a device-compatible kernel which has CWM recovery built into it. There is a kernel (or 2) for the USA Galaxy Player 5.0 that has CWM recovery built in. You have to use ODIN to flash it on your device.
If you don't know anything about this procedure there are lots of good threads in the development section with thorough explanations on ODIN and flashing ROMs and kernels to your device.
Good luck.
Put the player in download mode (back+volume down+power). Download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445840 and start odin, click the pda button and choose the file and connect your phone and press start, flashing the kernel will take approx. 5 seconds and your phone will reboot automatically.

NEVER USE ROM MANAGER! IT WILL BRICK YOU. Ok, now that that's settled, the previous poster is correct, you need Entropy512's kernel, as CWM is part of the kernel for this device. The instructions above will work for the ".tar" file (the oldest release), or you can do it any of the other ways listed in that thread.

[Q] How can i flash galaxy S2 to put Tizen ?

Hi everybody,
As the title, i want to flash my samsung galaxy S2, who works with android 4.1.2, to put Tizen (2.2 i think, i don't know the version who is compatible with).
Can someone help me please, thank you.
updating to tizen
i wouldn't advise you to be on tizen on right now since it still is under the beta version. unless you have a spare phone to work with you can but i wouldn't suggest it. i work with samsung but tizen again is on the beta version only. we can't specify if your network signal would work and if your baseband on your modem would be compatible. just a head's up. im trying to do it on my s2 phone as well. just a piece of my mind.

[Q] Gear S - Gear Manager - Rooted Sprint GS5 - Not working!

I'm honestly tired of searching; I guess I'm the only person with a Rooted Sprint Galaxy S5 and a Galaxy Gear S. The GS5 (running on BlissPop) is not supporting the Galaxy Apps/Gear Manager. I've tried several ways to unroot/back to stock ROM and still getting a FAIL from Odin. I want the ability to interact with my Gear S even by going back to stock ROM. I can't be the only one in the world with this problem...! At least I refuse to believe so...

Thats an issue with your BlissPop rom. Have you tried posting in the BlissPop rom forum? The best way to get back to stock is to grab OFFICIAL firmware. Its also possible that your device is formatted for custom roms and would need to be reformated to stock...official firmware should automatically do this if it is different.

Manually updating my firmware on S6 to Nougat

Hi, i wanted a little help from the pro guys out there.
I recently bought a Galaxy s6 (sm g920f). It was on Android 6.0.1 and i should be able to upgrade to Android 7.0. However, the software update button doesn't respond i.e it doesn't even open at all like no response at all. Then i used Smart Switch. No help there too. Then i decided to update it manually(my first try). Downloaded the firmware from Sammmobile for g920f and when everything was ready then i discovered in the download mode that the device is G920P, not G920F. I almost flashed it. Then i went to check if there were updates for the firmware of G920P. I found them and i discovered that most of the G920P were the American models of Sprint and Virgin etc but i couldn't find any sign of the Sprint/Virgin apps or logo etc. Then it occurred to me that the phone might be rooted but my brother also has an s6 which is rooted and samsung health doesn't work on it because of it being rooted. But my Samsung health app works just fine. I downloaded Root checker and it says "root hasn't been installed properly". So now i'm confused as to which firmware should i download from SammMobile and will it affect my root? If the phone is of Sprint(which i think it is) will i be unable to use my local SIM.?
Thanks in advance.
