Hey Guys I've bought a HTC one x+ in Germany which I rooted time ago. Now I just want to unroot my device to get the original HTC Sense 5 Android 4.2.2 update. My problem is I dont have a any backups nor find any RUU with the following CID version: 1.17.206.1
My HBOOT Version is 1.35 , I also tried some RUU's which was canceled during the update progress since I did not have the right CID version needed.
However I'm going crazy and loosing my hope, please help me how to install the original HTC Rom.:crying::crying:
Thanks

seems like you have a phone with o2 cid, so your out of luck, there's no ruu that worsk with that version.
but there's a german forum i recently found, where you can find stock backups (including boot.img) and stock recoveries.
http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-cu...04-one-x-plus-ruu-s-fuer-htc-o2-vodafone.html
just put the backup into the right folder on your phone, make sure CWM/TWRP recognizes this backup, then flash stock boot.img in fastboot, restore stock backup in your recovery, flash stock recovery in fastboot and finally relock bootloader.
then your phone should be back to stock software.
thank you so far. another problem is I somewhere I have to delete Superuser and relock my bootloader to flash the stock rom. Thats why I deleted Superuser and locked my bootloader again. My question is now can I still flash to stock rom or do I have unlock bootloader again ?

you probably need to unlock your phone again.
as soon as you restored the stock backup, everything you had on your phone except internal storage will be replaced by stock software, all settings will be reset, all userdata will be wiped!!!
so better backup/copy everything you need to your computer before you restore that backup.
Hi,
I know there are a million and one threads detailing how to get a HTC Desire X back to original status but with every thread I read I'm getting more and more confused
I have to send the phone back to the manufacturer and obviously need to undo what I've done.
I never actually managed to root the phone - only to unlock the bootloader and install clockworkrecoverymod. I should probably have asked for help then but life got in the way.
The CID of the phone is [HTC__001] and it's a european phone (bought via amazon in the uk if that's any help).
I'm thinking that all I have to do is to remove clockwork recovery mod and relock the bootloader?
Does anyone know how I can remove cwm? or is it stuck there and the relocking of the bootloader will render it hidden?
And with the installation of cwm, is this why I cannot reset my phone to factory data settings? I attempt to and it reboots (even using clockwork recovery mod) but I boot up the phone and it still has everything on it.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks
Please i'm desperately in need of assistance. I tried to root hy htc one xl. After unlocking bootloader with the instructions from htcdev.com website, I tried to root it with insecurebootandboot method. The phone restarted after that and started showing some red text about copywrite. I tried to fix it by flashing a custom rom and now when I switch on the phone, it just shows the htc logo and switches off. Please any help will be greatly appreciated but keep it as simple as possible as I am still a newbie
Pretty sure the red text is normal after the unlock. For the rom flash, did you also flash the boot.img via fastboot? I am certain that would have been in the instructions for installation of the rom, as it is standard for 99% of HTC Dev unlocked phones.
Also, which HTC One XL do you have? Is it from a particular region or carrier as that can be important to which files are needed to fix it. And what update was it on?
Yes I flashed it via fastboot and its an unlocked htc one xl, not attached to any carrier. Its running on stock android 4.1
Hi all,
I try to fix my stuck in airplaine mode and no IMEI issue by repairing efs folder.
Up to now I haven´t found an HTC RUU that could be installed.
Is there any other method to repair EFS? I heard of 3-parts ROM setups. Is something like that avialable for the ONEX plus?
I even can not find the location on my storage, where the efs folder should have been at times when the phone was OK.
Hints and Tips would be great
ICE
Hey guys,
it would help me a lot, if I only knew where I have to search for the damaged relicts of the efs on my One X+.
I can´t find it. Is it a separate partition?
Best Regards,
Wolfgang
Hello,
after endless nights I am faced with the following situation:
- Still stuck in airplane mode
- some write in forums, that a RUU could be the only solution to get the efs partition repaired
- RUU needs Stock Rom as a prerequisite
- Newest available RUU for unbranded HTC One X+ Europe seems to be: RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1 204.168.32_release_299688_signed.exe are
- That would need stock ROM 1.17.401.1
- Stock Rom 1.17.401.1 and hboot 1.72 don´t work together
- is this all correct?
- am I trapped?
Are there any ideas for me?
Best Regards,
ICE
