[Q] system recovery installation abortion - Xposed Framework Modules

Hi guys. Why does my phone always aborted while installing update zip or custom rom.
Im using a stock recovery in mediatek mt6572 . Also do you have any idea about its cwm
Recovery image? Thanks.
Im using Cherry mobile emerald.

You cannot flash via stock recovery. You need root. A quick google search reveals that you can root with king root or root master.

Use MtkDroidTools 2.4.8 (or higher) to backup ROM and install CWM, then flash you update .zips or ROM after you have done that.

The toolkit is a really well written and easy to use application, it gives you all the information and plenty of choices, and takes 5mins to root I really recommend it!

Install Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip in CWM from http://androidsu.com/superuser/
If you have CWM then you have already rooted it
As I understood you want to change the program that grants SU access to other apps?
Why do you need that?
I think that you will not have any better changes from that...

Hey, did you look in SuperSu settings? There is everything you need. By the way I can't see the rationale to absolutely change your Su app and binary. They are now both the same in features.
Check in SuperSU settings there are options to ease the transition to superusrr, than download superuser on Play, and update the binary.
You dont have to root to have CWM you can remove the cache file in the CF root file. And you will have CWM and no super user

Find Superuser.apk and su (binary) on XDA-Developers forum et put "su" on /system/xterm/ and "superuser.apk" on /system/app/.

You didn't give enough info. If you are completely stock, then no. But if you have previously flashed a custom recovery (CWR or TWRP), if you update TWRP it will root your phone.

"if you have previously flashed a custom recovery"
You need a pc now, he was saying if you had ever flashed a custon recovery and still had it installed you wouldn't need a pc.
Bones stock requires a pc.

Help

Hi all.. I bought a second hand Galaxy S3 and I have SuperSU and CWM Manager installed. I updated ClockWorkMod recovery via Rom Manager, but I can't flash Recovery Touch (server error). Any solution? I want to install CyanogenMod ROM, can I just install it throught recovery? And how can I check if bootloader is unlocked, and is that necessary?

There are zip files for newer recoveries.. My personal favorite is Phil's touch... Just download the file and flash it through your current recovery... And then reboot recovery...

Does that mean that i need to be rooted ?? because i'm not and i'm not intending to do it now
no need for root. download new recovery as an zip (Philz is an good choice, find his tread here on xda) and reboot into recovery. Flash new recovery zip just like any other zip. Reboot and voila... all done
