Just wondering if there was anything i could do to help my bluetooth connection with AOSP roms. I connect just fine but my signal is very weak. If i have my phone in my back pocket and am outside in an open area it skips a lot. If im in a building or room it works fine. Ive tried a few roms and they all are the same in this.
Does it happen on stock? Maybe your bluetooth chip(s) are damanged. Try doing a total restore through the LG flash Tool that way the firmware/software gets fixed.
No on stock it works fine.

Unfortunately all AOSP ROMs have this problem. It is frustrating, but something I have accepted for now.
Good Luck

Hello well not sure but I think my GPS is "broken broken" like maybe something hardware related but just wanna to check with you guys first instead of doing anything drastic.
I think I first noticed when i was on a build of trigger(cm based) that the GPS kept searching for location and unscessfully tried the CM7 GPS script. I then just decided to Odin back to stock and getting the same results GPS wise. I also tried Nandroiding back to a ROM that knew GPS worked when i use to use it(toxic w7 clone) but still no luck. Also worth noting that while on Stock Odin I tried some different Market based GPS fixes(GPS Restore GPS Aids).
Any help would be appreicated thx
some people have working gps, some dont. mine kind of works but it takes forever to lock.

Did your GPS work in the past?
I used a 2.2 build of Trigger a little bit back, and it did the same thing to my phone. I have a "fixed" hardware GPS antenna (since I did the FFC mod, fixing the GPS at the same time was a piece of cake), so when I suddenly couldn't get any GPS signal, I knew something was most definitely up. I tried the sgps "fixes" to no avail.
Eventually I flashed CM7 (since gps wasn't working either way, at that point), then Odin'd to stock, then flashed Bionix 1.3.1, and suddenly at some point it fixed itself. Now my GPS is back to working on CM7, as well as 2.2 roms.
So, if your GPS used to work fine, there was something software-wise which screwed it up.
Do yourself a favor and call TMobile. Tell them that your GPS doesn't work and you'd like a replacement. Do it three times and get a completely different phone for free.
The Vibrant is a POS at best.

Yeah this what I meant by drastic but probably my only real solution, wonder how that works though im pretty sure I'm paying for some replacement/warranty but that's only if they find out it is broken or defective right?
So glad i bought a Vibrant for my birthday as my 1st smartphone
Well I think I made some progress here, I Odin back to Eclair and to Bionix. GPS still wasn't working but GPS Test shows that there are some Satellites "in view" but not "in use" weird...
Having this weird issue, that it seems a few others on all types of ROMs, rooted and stock, are having....
When I connect via wifi hotspot/USB tethering, the phone drops all data connection for a few seconds so it's limited connectivity, then picks it up again only for the same thing to happen a few seconds later again and again making it unusable
It's not even just limited to this phone from what I've seen but I can't find a fix anywhere, can anyone help? Running Resurrection Remix v1.9.1 ROM but I had this issue with previous ROMs too - was working fine on stock.
Was working fine on stock

That's you're answer,
ask in that particular ROM thread, remember though people will say they don't have issues, mostly might never used the functionality.

Tried other ROMs (AOKP and AOSP)/kernels too and it seems noone else who uses that function has that issue. However from searching it seems that people, even unrooted on stock ROMs, have this issue
How can i easily fix the gps on this thing. It will either never find my location and therefore wont navigate, or it is off by a couple of streets rendering it useless. I dont want to do any technical stuff like roms or what not

OUTDATED.............................................................................
Can you describe with more details?
What ROM, kernel? Stock or custom?
Do you have internet Connection? Wi-Fi?
When it occurs? Did you ever have this problem before?

all i have is root and it was the same story before root.
i have internet, wifi works, i dont see why that would affect gps though
99% of the time gps cannot locate a signal and when it does it hops around
i have always had trouble with gps since i got this pile of junk. in the beginning it was better though

I have the same issues too, gps is junk right now, used to work, slow but work but now it just keeps trying to locate a signal and nothing happens. My droid incredible pulls in 9-11 sats in 10-15 seconds while in the same spots.
Really, that link I posted covers Froyo and Gingerbread, so it is not outdated. Also upgrading to ICS will fix your GPS.

Hi everyone I have been using a handful of different roms and I can't find a single one that has GPS working.
Am I doing something wrong?
I tried AOKP glitched milestone 6 w/devil and GPS does not work, tried THS build 15, and a couple JB roms.
I must be doing something wrong here since I cant get GPS working perfectly on any of them.
Sometimes it will kick in after ive been driving for like 10 minutes and then go away when I really need it. WTF is going on here?
I'll go back to GB if I have to. Anyone have any tips or advice on what I can do to get some solid GPS performance here?
Thank you so much!
Lastly, I've been trying to find a mirror for AOKP Milestone 6 Standard (without devil) but the links on the AOKP site are all dead. Anyone? ty!
Try this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5lY2xpcHNpbS5ncHNzdGF0dXMyIl0. and see if it helps. When I was having GPS issues (on 2.2 stock) this helped me to get a lock. However, I will say since I went to 2.3 and then AOKP M6 I've had no trouble with GPS, so your mileage may vary. Have you always had problems with GPS, or only since you've been trying custom roms?

I don't think it is the ROMs. I have been on AOKP Build 40 Devil then MS6 Devil for a few months and have had no GPS problems.

It seems that every fassy has its own little quirks with each custom rom
Hi guys,
Got a strange issue since a month.
When I get called the caller sounds very disorted and there is a lot of noise going on. It's barely understandable.
Same happens when I call someone.
The problem doesn't always occour but it's way too often to simply ignore it.
When I hang up and call back directly afterwards everything is fine.
I'm running Endrohix on my SGS3 atm.
This also happened to me with Archidroid and other ASOP roms. Haven't tried Stock Roms since I don't like them and there has to be another solution than going back to stock.
Greetings from Austria!
Change your kernel and check.
So i tried a lots of roms now. All sammy roms seem fine, as soon as it gets to AOSP (Omi, CM, Archidroid) the problem occurs. Tried a few kernel now, all seem to have the problem. Mainly tested Boffela and agni kernels and both have the same strange issue
nobody an idea?
Hardware
Seems like it's a hardware problem. Why don't you just go to a repair shop with that?
*#0*# test sound is OK??
How can it be a hardware problem if its working fine with sammy roms?
*#0*# gives me MMI-Error.
Had a chance to test on a few other cars today and found out something interesting!
Accepting a call by using the phone gives me a 50% chance to work, accepting it by the car radio always causes the sound bug
@verny94 ill test the setup in your signature and see if it works.. EDIT: just saw your's is sammy based, i'm pretty sure it will work

*#0*# is service menu. It must works but only on Sammy ROM.
I am really proud that my signature help you
Alright so I'm running Omega now and the sound problem is gone. But still i miss the speed of my Archidroid
BTW! I completly forgot to mention.. the strange noises only occour when i'm trying to talk over Bluetooth so if I make calls without bluetooth connection they work fine but if there is a hands-free or a car-radio involved the problems start

LMAO you mentioned the important part in the end
AOSP/CM based roms have had some bluetooth issues. Either not clear or breaks intermittently.
You can try Sammy or Sammy-based roms for better compatibility.
I've had this issue for a long time. It still occurs with the latest CM11. Here are more details:
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-2884
Could you guys point me specific, tested Sammy ROM where that BT issue does not occur?
