Welcome to EOS! The EOS project originated with the AOSP release of ICS, and was originally founded by Solarnz and co founded by Bigrushdog. Since then, EOS has evolved into a multinational collaborative effort backed by top Android developers. Our objective is to provide a world class AOSP build with unique features and enhancements. EOS is an ongoing development project in which builds are released on a regular basis. Feature request are not guaranteed, but always welcome. Every release should be considered stable and highly functional.

Default Volume Control Stream (Ring or Media)
Advanced power menu with reboot options.

Team EOS G3 Nightly builds
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)
Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST BUMPED TWRP RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Thank you very much for giving us this beautiful rom, and for all their work and dedication
Where the link for vs985 G3 ....?
downloading...
Does anyone have a mirror? The 7/17/15 snapshot build will not download for me. I literally have tried 10 times. Downloads, but it is not a flashable file.

The ROM has lot's of potential, but hardly any customization options as of the latest build. However, the performance and battery life are pretty good.
I have voice but no data... on Rogers D855
Using stock/SlickRom everything works..
I selected the right APN rebooted.. turned off and on airplane mode.. still no luck
Is there something I'm missing?

Downloading now, must be some customization @297 MB. Even bliss rom ain't that big, but guess I'll see, I'll be flashing soon.
The latest for ls990 is 6/25?
Edit - I like this allot, the only thing that I'd like to see is to be able to rearrange the navbar, I like to have the back button over to the right & the recent to the left. But good job, thanks for this EOS team. I really like the force menu button

Gave this ROM a quick test run to see if it would install as a secondary in multirom (on D851). All went well. Pretty nice. The navbar (mentioned previously) is the first in ages that doesn't allow rearranging of buttons. But that Fling thing is pretty neat. Once I remember how I assigned things I find it quite useful.

Wow, wasn't expecting this! Going to leave TouchWiz for a while
Up and running. Restoring apps at the moment. Comes loaded with Apex (I typically use Nova) but I think I'll stick with Apex for a while. So far so good. I'm gonna head down to the museum and play around with the camera for a while.
Thanks again!

Could someone be so kind as to make a call via the headset and see if the volume its normal and if the other person can hear you ok, I have been desperately looking for an aosp rom that I can make quality calls on the headset to no avail. One big thing I am wondering is if there are still special zips you have to flash to revert back to TW. Thats whats been keeping me off of AOSP for the longest.

Its not about reverting back to tw or aosp. Its about downgrading from 4.2.x to 4.1.x. You need to flash one simple zip after you've flashed the 4.1.x ROM(usually tw). It just restores your files to their original place as 4.2.x creates a new directory. Its really not a big deal to flash the zip. If you are going form a tw to aosp you shouldn't have to flash anything but the ROM and gapps.

Looking good over here. I hope battery life is as good as the Avatar ROM. I had Carbon 1.5 running but it drained my battery way faster that Avatar did.
This here is a top notch Rom am glad that i have Deviant Development on my Note 2. Like all other Roms put out by the team was impressed as usual. Will keep this as my daily driver thanks for your dedicated work guys five thumbs up.:good:
Last time I investigated, before official CM10 was out, I had to flash a zip before and after. Also if I wanted to use my micro sd formatted as exfat then I couldn't leave TW. I have been trying to find a decent workaround but could never find one. It's a necessity for me to store large files soo..... any ideas?
I'm glad now that I only have one zip to flash tho. Thats not bad at all

First AOSP flash.
Been waiting for something to get me off touch-wiz, seen this and decided to leap. I will report any issues i run across(hopefully very few i can not find the answers to before asking...Thanx!!!
Am I an idiot... No, don't answer that, but where did developer settings go? I liked the ROM overall, but need dev options, especially back button kill which everyone seems to remove...
Also is there a way to change superuser when its baked into the ROM? I bought super super user and would like to be able to use it...
Later,
Jason

Scimitar ROM is a ROM which is meant to be lightning fast, battery friendly, and have customization options. It most certainty doesn't disappoint. It is based on Rascalo's source with the main difference being that it's built from Linaro with few customization here and there.

If you really like this ROM, consider donating to this 16 year old lad. No, he doesn't get high off of drugs, but rather off of Android. I will never ask for donations other than in this post and it won't affect how much time I put into this ROM, but it will make me with my ideal family: Me, my laptop, and a Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino.

Yes, you can use ART however I don't really recommend it because still not all apps are compatible and can cause some FC's for apps. I also didn't experience much of a performance difference with ART compared to Dalvic

I already use ART on Cataclysm and I can tell a difference. None of the apps I use are incompatible with ART. Will the FC's happen if I haven't had any FC's before? Also, what does this ROM include? Does it have the ROM + Gapps + SU + Busybox? Because the zip file seems insanely huge for just a ROM....

So I noticed after posting yesterday that Beta 4 codebase was out so here it is!
I noticed PA is now including SuperSU in their rom so no need for a separate flash anymore. Removed link to SuperSU from op
So tearaz just pointed out many of the other releases have PAs halo...so im going to rebuild with it. I think it was a useful feature to PA...be back with it soon.
Would this be on the ota updater or no?
I don't remember PA being pure stock.

Beta 4
OK So i went ahead and posted Beta 4 without halo, it appears there are quite a few bugs that still need to be worked out so id rather have a stable base for everyone to use. Its nice to see how these kit kat bases are progressing and it gives the jewel owners the "latest and greatest" while also not causing the phone to blow up :cyclops:

Not all features are available yet.
Features:
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active

Not yet confirmed working. Please let me know as I assure it should boot again cwm is required as of now. I will release twrp and philz cwm next. Why is my cwm required because it's set up completely different from the others ones lying around.

This is using what we based from olivers sources. Whenever marcin finishes pushing kernel I will use his kernel and adapt his device changes.
Marcin? The one from maclaw's team?

Woooooohooooooo .......thanks download now ....
ROM is very nice. Fast, smooth, everything works - No issues for me and oddly enough i kinda like the vanilla first release without all the wiz bangs added. Lol
Great job Bro, look forward to where you take this.
Thank you for supporting this device.

Hello, I've only been running stock based roms for stability sake. I found stock to be more stable on my g3, but I loved aosp back on my old htc evo. How is the stability here compared to other aosp and stock roms? Thanks

I run this in my device all day everyday and this is my work phone. Stability is absolutely critical

It sure is. I'm a truck driver, and I use my phone for GPS, hours of service logs, and so on. So far so good. Seems a little slow at the moment. I'm going to allow everything to settle in before judging the stability and speed.
I know this is just the beginning for this ROM. Its running smooth so far. Thanks for the ROM. Can't wait for you to get all in to this ROM
Very nice, especially for a 1.0 release. Thanks for the G3 love!
Absolutely amazing! Super stable, fast, smooth, even smoother with the Jedi kernel installed and over clocked! Really like it! Definitely can't wait till you add some tweaks, I like my nav bar a certain way etc. other than that it's amazing!

If possible maybe custom tiles!!
Best experience I've had with aosp on this phone. Nice n smooth. Im not a fan of the camera app, or gallery, however, snap camera, and pictures gallery app are decent substitutes.
Is the latest Jedi kernel already in the ROM? Or should I flash it? Or is the kernel included the best for the ROM? Thanks!

Okay, ran into an issue watching YouTube. A min or so into a video the lock screen pops up then the screen sleeps. I have it set for 5 min, and it only does this watching YouTube. Also YouTube video stops playing everyone an app updates. I'm googling solutions, maybe settings I've over looked, but I thought I'd ask here anyway in case someone else had this problem. Thanks
