Hello!
When I use a headset with my handset (Gigaset SL930A) the microphone level is set too low, which means the caller on the other end of the phone can not hear me very well.
I have looked around online and apparently you can access the phone in engineering mode that would give you access to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone.
However I have found the following code *#*#3646633#*#* to do so but unfortunately this does not work on my handset.
Any advise or instructions will be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers...

Hi,
I'm on Galaxy S2; Android 2.3.3; KE7.
When using headphones on my device the volume is great for music, videos, youtube, and even skype. However for some reason it's only around half of that level when calling (even tough the volume is set to maximum).
I've done some google research and found out that it's quite a common issue with this phone. A workaround has been found by using some codes. However, it is not a permanent solution.
I've found a post which says that someone had called Samsung and they acknowledged the issue and will send them a new phone where this issue has been fixed.
1) Has anyone found a permanent solution to increasing the volume of the call when on headset?
2) I've also found a post where someone says that apparently Samsung will fix this issue in Android 2.3.4. Can you confirm this? When will this be available? If it's longer than 1-2 weeks I will have to send my phone for a refund/exchange (although I love it).
Your advice on the above is much appreciated.
Hi, I've done some further research and I think I've found the solution:
First make sure that your sound is on (as you can't access the volume settings in the silent mode) -> press the Menu button -> Settings -> Sound -> Volume -> and then increase the 'Incoming call' volume.
I've just tested the call volume when on headset and it has been increased to a more that enough level. Great. My love to this phone is growing
Now I have to figure out how to disable the camera shutter sound....but that's a question for another post...
It seems that the solution above worked for some time but now my phone started to deliver very low call volume when on headphones. Maybe it's due to the Android update, I don't know.
However I found that the issue is related to the media volume. For example when I listen to music and turn the volume low then this affects the incoming call volume and it becomes low as well.
The solution to this problem seems to be: make sure that the music volume is max before you want to make a call. I've just tested it an is seems to do the trick.
It would be great to hear to another solutions to this problem for unrooted phones.
Heard this app works well,

Hello,
I have had problems with the bluetooth voice command volume with my samsung galaxy. I have taken and had it replaced but i still have low volume when initializing the voice command. The Tech paired it up and has the same unit which worked fine. Once the phone is connected normal volume is realized.
Has anyone found a solution either with a code adjustment or an application?
I have seen many application but was looking for one that has been tried and provides a solution. I have a blueAnt light, I love it but if anyone has a better direction that will match up to the samsung I would like to hear from you.
thanks in advance
bob
This problem has been talked about some time, but I'm not able to find a real solution:
I'm using CM9 with Siyah-kernel. When I use a wired headset, the in-call volume is extremly low. Even at max I cannot understand the other party when I'm outside.
Now, some solutions have been proposed:
* Use STweaks to boost headset volume. That works but also increases the music volume. If I boost it enough so that in-call volume is good, music volume gets hard to control.
* Use the service menu. On my phone I cannot access the audio menu. As I understand, I could flash a different modem (e.g. XXKI3). Can anyone tell me where to download it? All links I found were dead. And anyhow, as I understand these settings are reset on boot. So it's not really a permanent solution.
Is there anything else someone could think of?
I'd really appreciate any ideas.
Best regards
Ole
Dear All,
i just buy a jabra extreme 2 bluetooth and i found out the bluetooth mic sensitivity is very poor, i have been try so many method to set the bluetooth mic volume level but there is no luck for me, i did search via xda forum or google it....now i have been trying the secret code to configure the bluetooth mic.
i able to use *#9900#, and i able to enter *#197328640# for the service mode, but i was unable to enter [5] audio....does anybody have any idea? or actually it was unable to set via secret code? pls show me the way to solve it. below was the thing that i have been try...
1)install jabra service & jabra connect from play store...no luck from the profile section setting...
2)install volume+ no luck too
3)disable "noice reduction" under the call setting.
4)already pairing the jabra extreme 2 bluetooth to another s2, conversation hard to hear from third party. :crying:
please help, still nobody have any guide for me?:crying:
EDIT : problem solved, the phone is not guilty. By the way, there is still a bug, the volume can't be adjusted during call. I use the "A2DP Volume" to manage the volume, as a workaround.
Hello,
I can't explain how such a good phone can fail at the bluetooth feature. The volume is incredibly low, I can't explain this as we talk about digital signal. Furthermore, during a bluetooth call I can't adjust the volume.
At least did somebody find a workaround? I tried AD2P volume, without success. Maybe I didn't find the right parameters. I saw some mods in the dev zone, all about incall volume, but I don't want to ruin things that currently work.

I dont have this problem. My bluetooth headphones are much louder than a cable ones.
Thanks for your answer. I saw other testimonies about this problem, it would be a good thing to identify the cause.
I don't nave this problem either. Quite the opposite, actually, sometimes the bluetooth headset is even too loud. Are you sure this is not headset-dependent?
Thank you for your advice. After some tests the phone is not guilty, the handsfree had set a low volume during the first connection. We can close this subject.
