So I have a rooted s6 edge with ping-pong root ( Knox not tripped) . I made some blunder with the services.jar app and its now stuck in bootloop. Tried hard reset but as \system is not formatted its still stuck in bootloop.
How to fix it? Without tripping Knox and deleting the internal memory.
Plz help guys thanks

Flash stock firmware via odin, preferably the same one which you you rooted with pingpong . Stock firmware won't wipe your internal storage.

Hi there,
I had Cyanogenmod 7 installed on my unbranded Galaxy S2 up until yesterday where I got stuck in a never ending (or at least >30mins) bootloop on the Cyanogenmod splash screen.
Not having access to the internet at that point, I tried a few things including flashing a different kernel onto it using Odin, complete reset, and now it's stuck on the Galaxy S II splash screen.
It is still recognised when I connect it via USB, and can access the download mode and Android system recovery, but to be honest I have no idea how to proceed from here.
Have I bricked it?!
Thanks for any help.
Try flashing original Samsung stock firmware,I had this issue yesterday and only stock firmware resolved my problem.

Which firmware did you use? XXKI4 isn't working for me.
....................................
Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware .Or need to return to service or decide if its hardware/firmware problem .
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
Install correct stock firmware .

I get the stock recovery mode when I boot. I have flashed the two kernels I had saved on my laptop (the insecure and stock ones I used when rooting) through Odin and still get stuck at the Galaxy S II Boot screen...

You require a root and CWM install to use Clockwork Recovery .
Root + CWM .

You can`t as you have a custom recovery, try updating with Kies but you will loose root (so reroot) or better yet buy Mobile Odin Pro and flash the new rom from www.sammobile.com/firmware and keep root

Unzip the file from sammobile, place the tar file on the external sd card. Open Mobile Odin and choose open file, select the tar file (firmware) and check all boxes in root and flash firmware. Done.

Hey guys, so I am rooted but with stock firmware, however I used Titanium to remove certain stock software, etc...
1)If I update via Kies, will it keep my current settings? or will it just flash a new rom altogether and erase everything?
2)Once I update, do I just go through the same steps I did to root my s3 the first time?
Thanks.

1). it will keep your current settings, app & data (because you not do "wipe cache" at OTA update), if you installing custom firmware (from stock to custom firmware, it will be need "wipe cache/factory reset in recovery mode, but this method doesnt applied on OTA update/KIES update), but i suggest to backup your data before upgrading..
2). yes, just root like you root at first time..

Yes, SuperSU has an unroot option, or wipe everything and flash a stock ROM.
The counter

but the counter didn't reset after unroot
how i can reset binary counter for galaxy mega???
Root modifies binary counter?! You haven't customised nothing. By the way you could have flash a pre rooted rom... I think there s still no support for this model for triangle away app from chainfire...

The Mega not have a Counter. Only this:
Odin Mode
Product name: GT-I9205
Current Binary: Samsung Official (or Costumer)
System Status: Official (or Costumer)
Qualcomm Secure Boot: Enable
Flashing a Stock Rom put all Official.
How about restoring the device like its brand new?wipe data and internal 16gb storage.

Wipe everything on Recovery (stock or customer), then flash a stock ROM by Odin.

Which stock ROM best chose to flashing? Newest one or rather from my region? Is it makes any difference?
Hello devs, I'd like to restore my lil bro's photos from his dead system, he knows for sure that his internal memory is intact because suddenly the system has died on him. ((No system but stock recovery, download mod work))
He gave me his device and begged me to restore his files
So, here it says that I have a custom rom but he said he never flashed any rom?!
so how do I restore his files? Can I just flash a custom twrp recovery and mount USB from there or will that wipe his memory??
if so, then what do I do?
Thanks.
Philz recovery will allow you to run aroma file manager, installing a recovery won't wipe data.
Copy files from data to the external sd.

But what philz do I use if I don't know which stock rom was I in?
I had tried flashing a TWRP kernel from ODIN, it says fail
Hey
Philz is a recovery and that doesn't mind you using ROM..
You can try to flash it from Odin n pray it works..
Best Of Luck..

You seem to confuse the s3 with the s2, recovery on the s3 is wholly separate from the rom or kernel.
If you can't flash a recovery with odin then your emmc chip is probably toast, which would include all data on the phone.

@tchindalia @boomboomer
ODIN says Failed: there is no PIT partition.
Is there a workaround?
Hey
Is RE-PARTITION unchecked??
And I hope u didn't include any pit file in odin...

Not ticked, and I didn't
There is no work around for data recovery, if the rescue firmware from general thread won't flash either then you are looking at a dead emmc chip -warranty repair.
