You need a permissive kernel which will trip knox. No other way.

Anyone achieved this yet?

Selinux permissive mode is required to run some root apps sound mods like viper4android, dolby, etc run when Selinux is set to permissive mode

Not to worry...its flagging them as dangerous because they have root privileges...DPI changer allows changing screen settings more or less dots per inch...xposed installer allows you to install exposed and its modules to customize your device...fast dormancy is a startup tweek that helps boot faster...and net.cactii.flash 2 is torch app which needs root to allow higher brightness setting...all safe...anti malware apps always flag root apps and settings

SuperSu doesn't prompt, when app needs root?! [SOLVED]

The tablet has root, but it doesn't give root access since there is no root prompting...
When I go to check 'SuperSu' settings under "Access" the "Default access" option is set to "input"
but it never prompts when I open an 'App that requires root. however, Apps do get root access once I switch the "Default access" to "allow"... but then thats kinda unsafe....
help anyone?
Galaxy tab S 10.5 /IronRom 2.3.5/ stock kernel / 'SuperSu v2.46
D,
hi, check your supersu version, try beta 2.49 if you're on lollipop 5.0 , 5.1
check to see if you have disabled notifications, if so enable notifications individually for supersu.
if you have selinux enforcing it shouldn't be too much of a problem setting allow/grant as your default
so long as your apps are trusted by you.
if you have selinux permissive or disabled then your security is greatly diminished.
just to check , you do get root at su in terminal, right?
please reply directly or mention as i will not know if you've responded otherwise.

set selinux to permissive

Hello,
I've installed viper4android and as many of you know the selinux has to be permissive for it to work, so far i'm getting it to work by using selinux mode changer app but the changes won't stick after rebooting. Does anybody know how to do this? Ive looked in the build prop but couldnt find any selinux setting.
Thanks!
I am facing a similar issue. The selinux mode changer app does not work at all in my device. It fails to gain root access although the su app grants it access every time I open it!
I use a highly modified 466D ROM from a German forum where V4a works flawlessly.
Just put the permisive script to /system/su.d, give the proper permissions, reboot and enjoy your music

Adaway: not enough space on partition

Hi
I just flashed xiaomi.eu and magisk, I'm trying to install adaway but I'm getting an error that there is not enough space available on partition and adaway is suggesting me to change the host Target to /data/data/hosts which also fails when attempting the symbolic link.
Any idea on how to get this sorted?

Does Adaway have root access?
Also try checking systemless host settings in Magisk, and reboot...

yup i resolved it with systemless host yeserday. the root access wasn't na issue. I think the partiiton is read-only or something.

had to reboot for systemless to take affect, ty.
I am having the same issue. Any fix? Android 13 pixel 6 pro latest adaway version and magisk. (Also had same issue when checked moto g6 phone). It was working perfectly fine to previously. (did the systemless hosts to reverify to)

Yes I managed to fix it. I updated the boot image (reflashing it with magisk). Somehow it started working again. I think one of the magisk versions had a bug.

I also managed to fix it though in my case I didn't have systemsless hosts, seems to work after flashing it but the ad blocking isn't that good...

Seems to work really good on my end. I suggest check the hosts file and see what it adds for blocks.

I believe you find the host and add the website or domain to it. I am not sure.

Can't pass SafetyNet test after flashing permissive kernel

After flashing the permissive kernel to fix my camera, I found that I can't pass SafetyNet test. I can't download Netflix in Google Play.

Side load it from APK Mirror.
In Magisk Manager, go to Downloads, search for SafetyPatch, add it and reboot. After doing that, I was able to pass SafetyNet in permissive mode.
(I know that this is a bump and may not help the OP any more, but this thread came up in a search and, so, this solution my help others who find it)

Are you using xposed or some other module which may cause this?
