I thought the galaxy s2 had gorilla glass? Got two tiny scratches on the screen, kinda pissed because the phone is so new there are no screen protectors available.
I keep my phone in a pouch in my pocket, I thought this gorilla glass was unscratchable????

a key in your pocket might not scratch the screen, but some grains of sand for example can really mess with it.
even gorilla glass doesn't help against sand grains.
I keep repeating this... but you most likely scratched off some of the oleophobic coating, not the actual screen. It may look like scratches in certain angles or under certain light, but I bet you it's the coating.

So really hard glass covered by an easily scratched coating. If true, is there an easy, cheap fix? If not, then sounds like a screen protector is a good idea, even if the glass itself never scratches. Which kind of defeats the purpose of the Gorilla glass and the coating.
Nothing is unscratchable, unbreakable, unbeatable. GorillaGlass has the advatage of being resistant to the "usual" sources of scratching, but dust and sand are tricky bastards, that practically surrounds us and our precious phones.
When I first got my galaxy s, as careful as I was I still managed to get a few small scratches on it within the span of a few days. The only way to see them was when the screen was very clean and there was a direct source of light on it. Looking back it probably was a bit of sand or something sand like.
I ended up getting an sgp ultra clear protector. I would really recommend it once its out. But don't worry about small scratches. As long as you don't notice them when the screens on will be fine.
I think I'll end up cleaning my pockets religiously once I get my s2.
I think we all want to keep our babies scratch- and fingerprint free. With protectors, cloths and cases we make our best effords. On the other hand, not many of us keep our phones for more than a year (I had my SGS for six months before switching to the SGS2). So, for whom are we keeping the display in mint condition? The next buyer? I'm not saying that we all should throw our phones in pockets full of sand, keys and rusty nails, I'm just saying that common sense will keep our displays away from serious harm. To get annoyed over scratches that are only visible in bright, artificial light is probably not healthy.

I understand. I have a Gorilla glass phone and have always used a screen protector. Mostly because I read many user reports very shortly after the phone came out about getting scratches for no apparent reason. I can't know if it was the coating or the glass itself that got scratched.
My point was if they coat Gorilla glass with a more easily scratchable film, and you have to cover it with a protector anyway then the purpose of the hard glass and the oleophobic coating are both pretty much defeated. Unless you prefer to go naked, have less fingerprints and put up with the scratches. There really needs to be a coating that's as hard as the glass.
I use a protector because it's easily replaced, so new surface cheap and simple anytime I need. Without it scratches seem difficult and/or expensive to fix.
I agree. But it becomes somewhat ridiculous when we're just stepping up on the screen protection ladder. So, we have GorillaGlass, which is protecting our display from scratches. Then we're putting on a screen protector to avoid scratching the scratch protective glass. And just in case, let's put the phone in a leather case or a pouch, so not to harm the screen protector. It's like having sex wearing three condoms; you will be safe as hell, but the feeling and the experience will be practically non-existent.

I've seen a billion iPhone 3GS's with shattered screens (wtf teens?!!!?).
Gorilla Glass is supposed to stop that from happening. It will scratch as easily as anything else.

Corning says increased scratch resistance is one of its features, as well as the break resistance you mention.

But if they put an oleophobic coating on it the scratch resistance is nearly pointless. So you're rationale could make the most sense.
I agree that sand can really mess it up. My S2 has a scratch on the screen which can only be explained by sand from the beach. Even though I never brought my phone to the beach, it may have gotten inbetween my Samsung leather flip case somewhere, sometime, somehow in my shorts pocket.
I keep my phone away from small change and keys and all of a sudden, there is a small 3mm scratch near the middle to the right.
Honestly though? Everything about this phone is better than my old Motorola Milestone (which has been to many beaches), but the Milestone's glass touchscreen seems more durable.
So note to everyone with an S2 in a case: apparently sand can destroy the screen.

If I put my device in a series of angles I can see......mmmmmmmmmmmm 2 very, very tiny scratches. It takes like 10 min in proper light to spot them.
BTW: I did try to scratch it with a couple of keys back in may to show off; nailed it.
Actually rethinking ....I shouldn't be so hard on Samsung ...there maybe other factors involved ..that are sensible
& Corning/Gorilla glass is manufactured by Corning ...so it's not really "assumed" Samsungs fault for claiming that it is unscratchable !

Yes sand would scratch for sure ...but is it only sand !? ..or other rock particles ....metal doesn't seem to do anything ...maybe depending on type of metal ....winter road salt ?
Ehhm a key ..i think is way to blunt to scratch .....it could be from hitting the metal rivets on front jean pockets ...when sliding it out of my pocket ...but those are blunt also

So... On my phone i always use those plastic film thingies because a smartphone is something that i take everywhere with me and put it in different locations like pockets, backpacks etc. Other stuff can be in those pockets so scratches are definately a possibility. I just dont feel comfortable without it and they dont bother me at all while using the phone.
But on a tablet like the prime its a whole different story. When I use it I sit somewhere, comfortably and safe. When i take it with me it's in its neoprene sleeve. Also i usually take the dock with me, and when its docked the screen is automatically protected...
The Prime has even Gorilla glass so i dont plan on putting anything on it. This is my first tablet so you guys may have more experience with it... Your thoughts? The glass feels just so awesome to the touch, i dont think a protector can replicate that.
So do you plan on putting a protector on it?
Btw1: i really dont care about scratches on the back^^ It gives the device some personality! Its the same with books for me. Hate it when they are new and shiny. Feel free to comment on that as well

i bought one and it was near impossible to get it on without dust or something under it. thats a huge area to try to get dustless even in just a few seconds
i havent been using one, i just rub my tfp against whatever cotton shirt i might be wearing, that cleans the screen and i havent had any scratches.
i use a leather folio style case, so the screen is usually covered for the most part, i just use my shirt to get finger prints off lol
I have a dry application crystal clear screen protector and I love it mostly because it doesn't collect fingerprints and smudges as easy and is easier to wipe clean if anything this is worth it alone plus you don't have to worry about a accidental scratch somehow.
I don't and won't be using one. The tablet has gorilla glass and is very durable. My phone also has it and that goes all sorts of places and has remained scratch free. Considering my tablet is only at home loose otherwise always in the dock which then goes in the neoprene case, I have no desire to put one on and am not going to worry about it.
Prime has gorilla glass. I don't have one n my screen looks great. Veryyyy scratch resistant. Plus it cleans off so easily with the included cloth. All screen protectors do is degrade screen quality n throw off touch response.

I took my prime down to the invisible shield stand in the mall to get a screen protector. hen I got there they said because the device was so new they didnt have anything for it. But because it was a TFP the guy offered to custom cut one for me.
Say what you want, but I got mine done without even a fleck of dust under it and it offers no distortion of my screen, nor do I notice any sensitivity loss. Not only that but I find its way easier to clean.
Besides who knows whats gunna jump out of nowhere and try and scratch your screen.
screen protector I have does not throw off sensitivity at all I was worried it would but it didn't just as responsive.
It may be false sense of security, but I have the skinomi protection on mine. Just in case. The screen is beautiful and I don't want anything to happen to it.
Yes. I liked the feel of it better without the screen protector. But I've not noticed any degrading of color, etc. There are 2 specs of dust that got underneath that are driving me MAD and that may end up being why I take it off, maybe. But overall its better because no finger prints and less worry.

I've had my desire for nearly 2 years and there isn't a mark on the screen dropped at a few times too, great big dent on one corner but no scratches. Them corner protectors but probably a good idea but not worth trying to get a screen protector on.

Take a shower and install the screen protector in the bathroom when it is still humid. Works like a charm to install screen protectors dust free.

Guys, I want to bring this to your attention so what happened to me doesn't befall you:
The Gorilla Glass, while tough, can be scratched quite easily under the right conditions. I was in a thread a few weeks agao, being all smart (like my Username, LOL!) saying that a screen protector was a waste. a) Because they make a beautiful screen something "less beautiful" b) that they are difficult to place on the glass properly, and c) My biggest pout: Anything that is sharp enough, hard enough, and strikes with enough force or velocity to scratch, chip or otherwise damage Gorilla Glass will likely not have any less impact from a piece of plastic between the glass and the projectile.
In other words, if something is going to damage the hardened glass, how is a decidedly super thin piece of plastic going to stop it?
In retrospect, I was very wrong, or at least partly wrong. That very night my daughter sat with me playing games on the Prime. We played a few games together: Where's my water, and similar. Then I played Need For Speed, and then she played Fruit Ninja.
When I went to clean all the 11 year old finger prints off, I noticed what looked to be scratches in the glass. At first I thought it was just debris from sticky fingers, but no... it was... HOLY **** THE GLASS WAS FREAKING SCRATCHED RIGHT THE **** THROUGH!!!!!!
Seems she had a cheap metal ring on, with a split back that lets you adjust the size. By holding the tablet in portrait, and not hard or in any way roughly, she scratched the glass on the right side of the camera, a 1" wide SET of scratches, not one or two, but a swirl of perhaps 12 or 15 scratches that were deep enough to be basically impossible to remove.
I tried to see if there were any methods to polish this out. including seeking help from a glass polishing co, and optometry tools and materials. All advised against it, and the amount of sanding, and polishing needed would have put an obvious "dent" in the glass that would make it no longer true or flat.
Fortunately I had insurance, and for a $125 deductible I was able to replace the unit. Lesson (a huge one) learned. Lesson I am trying to pass along? BE CAREFUL. Check EVERYONE who uses the the tablet to make sure they have no rings or jewelry. If a screen protector makes you feel more comfortable, b all means get one, and keep it on there, there are two types, the rubbery "sticky" ones that I hate, since your finger stick and won't slide on it very well, and the harder, shinier material (actually comes in an anti reflection satin finish too I believe).
No matter what you decide remember, if something looks like it could scratch the glass, don't take chances with it. better safe than hugely sorry. Also, while Gorilla Glass IS scratch resistant, it is NOT BREAK RESISTANT. When I saw the damage to my screen, I admit, I actually was close to tears... No ****.
Be careful out there.

In a word: Yes.
Not so much for protection though but to minimize reflections and fingerprints.
While losing a tiny bit of sharpness and color the display is much more readable under any circumstances. No need to "wash" off fingerprints every 10 minutes, no need to hold the tablet so no lights are reflected right where I want to read something onscreen.

Since a tablet screen is much bigger than that of a smartphone applying it has to be done cautious and calm. To get rid of any particles between screen and protector I used TESA stripes to pull the protector off a bit and then another one to remove the particles.
Good idea with the shower, though.

I concur. A screen protector isn't necessary for normal use. Also, you might have some issues docking it with a protector on.
i dont see any point to use screen protector, its not small device like regular cellphone which may be accidently put in same pocket as your keys and therefore scratch your screen. I use mine mostly with dock, so when its closed its protected by dock, and while not having it docked i use leather case from ebay. And afterall it has gorilla glass should be durable
IMO, no, it does not need one, but it never hurts to be safe. I've no case for mine yet, and am about to have a Skinomi skin to throw on it, and have been using it for only three days. My screen is perfect, I'm a neat freak and keep it spotless, keeping a cloth on hand and using a stylus. However, a case/skin for the back most certainly is needed if you don't like scratches. I don't mind them, my phone is covered in dings and scratches and gouges, but the screen is fine with a protector.
In short, no, it doesn't really need one, but yes I'll be using one. Damned if I'll accidentally hit my jacket zipper too hard or something retarded.
Like the above poster said, does it NEED a screen protector, no. But lets be realistic, people give gorilla glass way too much credit thinking that its invincible. If the tab is always in an immaculately clean place, then you have nothing to worry about. But a lot of dirt particles also have tiny particles of sand in it, which easily scratches glass. Key tests are just useless propaganda. Its little sand particles and other small minerals found in dirt that will scratch your screen, which is how most peoples phone screens get scratched without them realizing. Dirt and dust are everywhere. But if you're careful enough, you can minimize the issue. Personally, I spent $500 on a device so I feel an extra $10 to protect the screen against scratches and preserve resale value isn't much to ask. Also, Skinomi has a screen protector that has a cutout for the dock, I highly recommend it,its super clear.
Long story short, you don't need one if you're going to be careful enough. But don't fall for marketing hype and think that gorilla glass is indestructible. It actually marks up pretty easy (especially if theres a coating on top of the gorilla glass). I put screen protectors on my devices so I don't have to baby them. If i'm always worried about scratches, I can't fully enjoy it.

If you do get one, get a GOOD quality screen protector. The cheap ones can degrade the colours a little and often have this odd "just washed" look to them. They often don't feel very good to touch, either.
The phone is most definitely not shock proof. This glass even seems to be easiler to crack than the glass on the S2.

Neither nor
It is scratch and shock resistant not proof. The Gorilla glass is very tough for everyday use. Your keys and such cannot do any damage. It is not, however, designed to withstand drops on concrete from 5+ feet. I personally never used any kind of protective cover for the screen. I just cannot stand anything between my finger and that beautiful glass

I've had the S3 since it's release in Thailand...I can suggest getting a screen protector should be the first thing you buy....I have many many scratches already...a couple right across the screen.
I have not done anything that I have not done with previous phones (Galaxy Nexus for 1 year, Desire HD etc) and they have almost perfect screens! I'm quite disappointed in this phone for scratch resistance...The plastic on the rest of the phone is spotless haha but the "Gorilla glass" is not...
I have dropped the phone once from about 4 feet up onto a tile floor and nothing at all happened so at least you might be able to drop it...but be careful what you let touch the screen.

I don't have the phone yet, but I have watched a couple of "drop tests". The glass itself is stronger technically, but since it's so thin, one wrong drop and the whole thing cracks. That being said, don't try to see how much it can take.
I would recommend putting a case on it and putting on a screen protector. If I paid that much for the device, which I did but I'm waiting for shipping info , I would want it as safe as possible..without it being too bulky because it's not like I'm doing construction.
I hear the invisible shield is good, but others would tell you otherwise. It's a matter of preference unless you buy the really cheap screen protectors. Don't do that. Make a good, long lasting investment when it comes to protecting one of the most precious part of the phone.
Today, my Otterbox case should be coming in the mail and those cases come with screen protectors for the S3 (or whatever device anyone buys), so it's two in one! Besides, Otterbox cases are great!
So we all like our protective cases... and I agree I think for the average person some type of tpu case or any case that provides some drop security is good. Your basically just looking to save the body of the phone... which i would think could be achieved pretty easily without getting the bigger bulky cases.. like UAG.. Otterbox etc.. if your working 20 feet up i'd say go for it.. otherwise.. why? wouldn't say a slim armor.. or just a slimmer designed case that has a better fit in your pocket do the deed just as well from a normal head to ground drop? I wouldn't think a slimmer case could achieve this easily (I'm not saying i'm right)...
Now for the part we all love.. the screen... so many people get cases.... practically everyone.. but most people tend to not guard the screen the way we should.. I personally believe this is where the money should be spent.. getting a good iloome glass protector or another alternative that will seriously protect the screen from a head drop to concrete etc... at least up your chances substantially from the screen being destroyed....
That is my amateur stance.... now this is why i start the thread.. because the UAG looks nice and very protective... but it adds (excessive?) bulk? couldn't a slim armor or another choice (place good slim protective case here please lol) and as far as my eye can see you can get the iloome flex for a great price.. which i think is a must.. not necessarily the brand but the protector.... so maybe someone can throw something in on a case to save from drops that is quality but slim... and hopefully this thread reminds someone to get a screen protector..... I'm just wondering if these cases are a bit of overkill considering the amount of bulk... and rather if a smaller footprint could basically acheive the same protection from. your normal 7 foot and down worst case scenario... thoughts? advice?
On my razrHD I used an Otterbox defender. So i've been looking around for something similar. But as the N3 already is a huge device to fit in your pocket, i wanted something more slim. The spigen neo wasn't available so I settled for the spigen bounce. I also added a screen protector film. Actually, if your phone drops, I doubt that any screen protector will help much. For me, the screen protector is more for little scratches you get when putting the device into your pocket, bag, or whatever else.
From my expirience, I really loved the silicone of my Otterbox. I could almost put my hand more than 45degrees without the phone slipping from my flat hand. I don't dare doing this with the spigen bounces TPU. Compared to the Otterbox, it's almost slippery.
But the Otterbox made the phone also even heavier than it was already. So i have plenty of reasons not to get a tough case. Instead I ordered a bamboo aluminum bumper. I love the looks,, I think it wont't add much weight and bulk and the back of the phone offers more grip than the spigens TPU and it's also replaceable which wasn't the case on my razr HD. Actually, the only one time I dropped my razr HD was when I was at home and had taken it out of its case to admire the slimness of the phone. Bummer. And I immediately had a scratch on one corner of the kevlar back.
So to sum it up, I plan on using a bumper because the sides of the phone cannot be replaced but the back of the N3 can. The screen won't make a difference with or without protector in my opinion, so I think it's more of a preference thing. I like the thought that I can just peel off the layer of plastic in case of minor scratches. The only last concern I have with my bumper is, that the "housing" of the camera seems to be aluminum which could get scratched because the phone will rest on the housings edge when laid down. The lens won't be affected because it will be angled to any flat surface, and I don't plan on laying my new toy on rough concrete or similar.

Possibly true, but there'll always be that one little sharp edge the screen drops on so that it gets shattered. And with a screen this big, the likelyhood it's falling "butterside down" is pretty high. Anyway, I'm ok with my screenprotector like it is and I try to be careful not to drop my phone
The most drops I heard of so far was with people who used pouches. The pouch protects as long as the phone is in, but it usually drops down when exerted from the pouch. So I think it may be the same with any other case. Like it was with my razr HD. i never dropped it while it was in the Otterbox. Just the only one time I wanted to use it without my Otterbox.
I quite honestly don't ever see any hard materials landing on my screen, but I do like glass protectors due to the smooth texture and scratch resistance.
I currently use a slim armor and I wouldn't trust it as much as I would if I had an UAG on it even though the slim armor isn't actually that slim...

Well, first of all the Note 3 has a more sensitive active digitizer and I think the capacitive sensor's been bumped up a notch.
What that means is you can use screen protectors made of glass to give the screen the extra protection it needs.
These are usually VERY protective, and if given the right conditions should last the length of the phone's lifetime (usually 2 years).
The MIME Feather is the THINNEST glass protector available, sitting at 0.15mm its not that much thicker than plastic screen protectors.

For $32... its an expensive investment, but being a one off, its probably worth it.

Having a bumper which is scratch resistant, shock proof, temperature proof, and just hands down awesome is just... awesome.
I personally don't like bumpers because I feel like they don't protect the phone's front and back-- the truth is they do.
Having a bumper which sits mostly flush on the sides ...BUT protrudes out from the front and rear angles of the phone is magic.
It means dropping the phone will ALWAYS land on the bumper, and shock absorbed, dint free, scratch prevented.
And bumping your phone will ALMOST always ding the bumper.
What this means is a good, high quality bumper can put less "FAT" on your device and still provide the same protection.
I'm all for efficiency.
And why polycarbonate/VaporMG and not Aluminium or Metal?
It doesn't matter what type of metal you have, surrounding the perimeter of the device creates some sort of "force field" a phenomenon known as Faraday Cage.
An expensive metal bumper made by a reputable company will drop ~1 bar of signal, I'm not sure if NFC and Bluetooth are affected. On top of this, not all metals are the same.
Some are poor shock conductors, and won't really protect your phone.
While TPU can get the job done, its not 100% environment/weather proof. Something like a high quality Polycarbonate (think Nikkon DSLR camera housing) will last longer than your device's lifetime, feel great/grippy, and be as protective. Leather isn't a good choice here simply because its not very sturdy (when its just a thin bumper) and won't be able to absorb as much force as these plastics and amorphous metals. Wood seems like a good candidate... good luck in finding the right tree and the right lumberjack!
In conclusion, a very thin glass protector, and a sturdy plastic bumper.
Together they'll absorb almost all the bumps, nicks, and scratches your phone will experience in its lifetime of normal use.
To get better protection, you can always dial up to a 3mm glass protector and a full-case made of TPU/Glass-Metal/Leather, but I honestly don't think it adds as much protection as it adds bulk !
To get maximum protection for those of you who work in construction on skyscrapers... get a really expensive and thick plastic case. Probably one that has a front cover too. Something not far from Otterbox/Griffin/CaseMate/Lifeproof/Seidio/etc cases. Some of these should survive a car driving over it. Meanwhile lads, enjoy wearing a purse to carry your new blunt-force weapon.

Well, maybe my wording was a little off, which is why I used the "butterside down" example. I meant that if your phone drops and it drops with the screen side down, there'll always be a sharp edge close by or a stone on the ground that just sits there and waits for a phone screen to fall onto it
I also never had any sharp objects falling on my screen so far :silly:

Old topic here on the forum. Yes you probably should think about buying a screenprotector if you going to use a pen. Its an ordinary plastic sheet on the screen molded on and it will get scratched VERY easy. Also the oleofobic coating will wear off with time. In about three months you are going to notice the sheet getting more of a rough texture where you push and swipe your fingers often.
I would say that the stock screen protector has very a low quality in terms of its lifetime and ability to resist scratches.

If you want a screen protector. Try out a solid sheet of glass. Like the ones I linked above or if you find something promising out there.
Edit: Oh yeah I forgot. No a screen protector will for the most not disturb the ability to discover pen input. And If you do notice that input skips now and then you can always modify the sensitivity of the touch panel by editing a text file

Thanks a ton friend. Firstly, I have been using GadgetShieldz for about 5 years now. On different phones, it has performed beyond my expectations. However, my question was simply this, that will I need a screen protector, to which I've got my reply, Yes.
And secondly, will using a protector hinder in use of a pen. To which you said, No. But would like if someone using GadgetShieldz replies with their feedback.

I have no experience with the gadgetsheildz so can not comment but i have the Mocolo glass protector (from Superusers link above) on both the front and back of my ZU. My ZU already had a few tiny scratches on the original ASF which have now all but vanished with the mocolo glass in place.
However after testing with both pen and pencil and a coin to test the screenwrite input ability (All worked well and recognition was pretty smooth) the mocolo appears to have picked up a few micro scratches around the area i tested. I Cant be sure what caused it to scratch but i decided to not to use anything other than my finger for input and the write/text input isnt a feature i use much.
Other things i noticed are that although the ZU is huge and can be rather awkward to hold on occasion, i found with the front and back glass applied it has become "more" awkward as it now feels so slippy when holding and it definately moves around the table top a bit too freely for my liking...
Also consider the weight. With both sheets of glass in place there is a definite increase in the overall weight of the device. Many will say the increase is negligible but i find coupled with slippy hand feel, the slightly heavier package just adds to the overall awkwardness of the device.
However there is peace of mind knowing the original glass underneath is well protected :fingers-crossed:
I'm sure these issues could be rectified with the use of a gel case on back which i am considering as my ZU looks amazing and the above glass protector fits like a glove but the phone feels more fragile/vulnerable than before.
My backside has cracked. And I like it. Because it shows that my mocolo did the job it was designed to. :good: I might buy a new set later on. It has not affect my user experience because there are no sharp ends or pieces of glass that can hurt me.
What I like about it is that it makes the z ultra rigid and more durable. Without the sheets I can easily bend my device so I just find it positive to have the sheets. And I just love the extra weight and feeling of glass

When you say the back has cracked do you mean the glass underneath the protector has cracked, or has the mocolo glass cracked?
The worry is the front underside glass cracking which from all accounts renders the device non functional to any touch.

a question about screen
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. I have ordered Z Ultra which will be delivered most probably tomorrow. After ordering i read so many complaints about the screen self breaking problem in Xperia Z series and Sony is not covering it in warranty. I am confuse whether to keep the phone or should i return it. Or is there any way to save or protect the screen. Will applying tempered glass protector solve the problem. People has complained screen cracks even after few days of purchase. I am worried about it, dont want to waste my hard earned money
Please suggest guys about the protector.

If you keep it out of your trousers pockets and not placing it where it can be bent (Yes the Z ultra can be bent very easy) .i.e. for example between your doorkeys and heavy books in your bag or tight pockets in your skinny jeans. Or subjecting your device to fast temperature changes for example from direct sunlight indoors to minus degrees winter outdoors and vice versa. Keep it in your pocket to ease the temperature change etc.
Think about the phone like its a glass oven baking dish because it has two safety glass sheets and addition to that it has air trapped inside it because the Z ultra is waterproof or at some level at least (1meter/30min?)
If you are careful where you put it then you don't have to worry that the screen might self crack. I hope I did not scare you now.. :silly:

I put an illumishield screen protector over the stock screen, because of what I read about scratches. So screen protectors are from and back.
Getting the DSC-QX10 lens, so I got the adapter SPA-ACX3 for XZ. Lens locks onto the back of mobile ? Phone .
Plus, I wrap my XZ in a microfiber cloth , and carry in my messenger bag, with NFC Bluetooth headphones .

I am using it since 4 days with all possible precautions. I havnt put it in my jeans pocket yet. Carrying it in shirt's pocket all the time
Secondly i get in insured :thumbup:
If in case its screen breaks, i ll get something from inssurance company.. actualy phone is really good at d price i got so didnt returned..

I wish I didn't listen to the people that told me I didn't need on for the i9100. I had to live with that scratch for nearly 15 months.
Got one from day one with this, and will do for all future phones until I can trust there won't be a single scratch over the life of the phone.

yes.. you need that... i would prevent you screen from scratches.. z ultra is not protected by corning gorilla glass or something.. its just a shatter proof glass.. so its better to buy a screen protector
