I have upgraded to windows 10 and now adb didn't work. Anyone know of a compatible adb driver for win10 and our phone?

This worked for me.
What worked for you?

Using stock ROM? Or installing adb using that exe from op?

Use the all in one tool to root. The method you're using is old.

I don't have a clue but my guess would be that your bootloader is to new for that tool to work. You'll need to use the revolutionary tool to root your device.

I used this method to root. Do you have HTC Sync or itunes downloaded on your computer? If so, they need to be deleted.
I also recommend using the new root tool by trter10.

I'm having trouble rooting my galaxy s4. No I'm not on the update but I've tried to use both tools avaliable and neither work. I keep getting adb outdated or device not found. ..what can I do? I would prefer to flash through odin.

You're using the CF-Autoroot method? It's the only one which is working if you've happened to update to MG1 by accident or anything.
Otherwise the Motochopper exploit should still be alright :/

You're thinking of a different model. There is no MG1 update for this one. The latest is ME7, which the OP has already stated they had not upgraded to.

Hi everyone. Got this phone just a few days ago and updated it to 4.4 the next day. Sadly I didn't do any research before doing so and realized I can't transfer files to the memory card with 4.4. Is there a way to flash the older 4.3JB the easy way? Like the Samsung Odin way? The last time I had an HTC was with the One X and I did not do any tinkering with it. So please forgive my noobness. Or is there another way to have the old access to mem card without having to root? Thanks guys.

I have the vzw HTC one max it was rooted soff with NUsense six 4.4.2 rom installed. Well I left my phone laying on the table and went to the store and when I got back my son had it playing around with it. As soon as I walked through the front door he had this look on his face like OH SH$!. My little boy managed to wipe everything everything on my sd card is gone all of my backups everything. So now I'm stuck on the TWRP recovery screen I'm afraid to turn it off. I can still get to bootloader/hboot stuff. There's no OS installed on my phone. Man I don't know what I'm gonna do. I hope that you or someone can help me out here. Also it says that my max isn't rooted but it's still unlocked.

You can use adb to push a Rom to your phone in twrp I believe.
in Command Prompt,
type "adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ROM.zip" replacing ROM with the EXACT name of the ROM file and including the .zip piece on both ends.

You have to root either way. You will need the weaksauce method of Firewater. You cannot downgrade unless s-off. There's an easy fix for your current Rom too.

Ok. So in twrp go to advanced and choose adb sideload. Swipe to enter sideload mode.
Put the Rom you would like to be running in your fastboot/adb directory. Open cmd prompt to that directory and issue the following command ..
Adb sideload nameofrom.zip
Of course using the actual name of your Rom zip instead of nameofrom.zip.

Just hit do not install. Get back the the advanced screen and sideload a rooted rom already.
Question, since I don't believe your kid story and want you to come clean so we can help you much faster....
Did you manually flash the firmware update today and this was the outcome?
Note...I'm not going to answer your pm.. Either come clean with what you did here and we will get it fixed up right way or stop asking for help and pm'ing other members.

I gave you instructions how. Sideload the last rom you were using with my instructions. You don't need a functioning SD card to do so. It will send the rom to your phone from your PC via USB and flash it for you.

Back in the Motorola Atrix days, I did most of my rooting manually with adb. This occasionally involved a bit of sideloading apps (usually when creating custom ROMs). I was wondering if I could sideload an app that required root access into the system folder of a non-rooted phone?
