Samsung Galaxy S2+ stuck in recovery mode - installing new rom without wiping? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Samsung Galaxy S II Plus (running stock rom) is currently stuck on the recovery screen when booting.
I think it happened after I updated some apps from the App store. The device seemed weird (flashing icon(s), apps not working, etc.), so I wanted to restart. When I did, the following happened:
It didn’t show the Samsung logo, just the phone name/logo once or twice
It then showed "no command"
Then the recovery console was added on top of «no command» ("no command" is still visible behind the text of the recovery console, and an android lying on its back with a red triangle)
I tried wiping the cache from the recovery screen (resulting in a message saying "error"), taking out the battery, etc., but it won’t boot.
My phone has no custom rom installed. I think I have upgraded to the latest official Samsung release.
Can I install a backup/recovery system such as CWM or TWRP without losing my data?
Or can I reinstall the stock rom without losing data (photos, app data, etc.)?
Basically, can I get access to my data in some way despite being stuck on the recovery screen? That’s my primary goal.

Samsung S3 Boot Loop Data Recovery

I have re-flashed the phone with a stock version (I never did any flashing/rooting before this, but have on a previous phone so I know how). I would just factory reset, but I NEED the videos I recorded today. Is there a way to pull files without booting (I can get recovery and download modes, no option is available for mounting the USB connection like I have read about). It is not in developer mode, and I don't think it would matter if it was because I can't boot past app loading (to my belief). When I flashed the device, it loaded and started "upgrading android" upon completion is said starting apps and then rebooted. If I can't pull files can I remove 3rd party apps.

[Q] XT910 stucks at boot, need data extraction (not rooted or flashed)

Hi.
I was using XT910 (with 4.0.1, not rooted or flashed) when the screen suddenly went blank (black) and after about 15 seconds the device restarted without promting anything. While booting, first comes Motorola's official red logo, and then Provider's logo and right at this stage booting stucks just displaying the latter logo without continuing to boot.
I was able to wipe out the cache, but it didn't help. I can reset to factory defaults, but I have critically important data in some applications and if I do so I'm going to wipe out everything.
Is there any way/solution to retrieve/extract or get an access to applications installed and their data in this case? I can even sacrifice the device in order to get that important data (no need photos or contacts).
Thank you.

The yellow window shows factory mode and means, that your efs-data are corrupt: you can switch off this window by deleting the same named app, but you wont get access to any telephone network.
So, if you didn't backup your efs-data, try first repair-function of KIES. If it doesn't help, post the version of firmware, actually is installed.

Data recovery from Galaxy S6 Edge AT&T stuck on AT&T logo

I have an SM-925A that has never been rooted or had custom rom installed and it is stuck on the at&t logo after a random reboot happened. Unfortunately there is data on the phone that needs to be recovered, specifically photos that were not backed up. I've had no success with getting this phone to boot back up. I'm more interested in recovery the data then fixing the phone.
Current Symptoms:
Phone boots
Shows Samsung logo
Shows white background with AT&T Logo that animates for a moment
Stays stuck on this screen indefinitely.
Attempted solutions:
Volume Down and Power button reset attempted multiple times with same result after reboot
Draining battery entirely until the phone shuts off, charging and then booting back up, same result
Wipe cache partition from android recovery (stock recovery)
Attempted to sideload teh 6.0.1 OTA update (SS-G925AUCU3BOJ9-to-U3CPD6-UP) , but the phone is already updated and i got this message:
"Package expects build fingerprint of samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:5.1.1/LMY47X/G925AUCU3BOJ9:user/release-keys or samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:6.0.1/MMB29K/G925AUCU3CPD6:user/release-keys; this device has samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:6.0.1/MMB29k/G925AUC"
"E:Error in /sideload/package.zip"
"(Status 7)"
"Installation aborted"
Any suggestions on how to recover the photos on this device? Again fixing this device is not the issue, its recovering the photos.
Have you tried to connect to smart swich pc?
Sounds like stuck in a bootloop and the only fix is flashing stock firmware.
One thing to ask... did you use google photos? It should have them backed up if so?
Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
No google photos was turned off for some reason. Can flashing stock firmware be done without wiping the data?

Unfortunately not mate. As when device boots up you will have to set up as new phone or restore from backup. But as you said google photos was off.
Stock firmware will wipe everything.
Have you tried connecting to pc and opening as folders? Can you connect to pc with latest drivers?

Bootloop after integrating system apps upgrades {Edited}

After soft-reset, the usual splash screen (with unlocked bootloader message) appears, then it disappears, the phone makes a single vibration, the splash screen happens again and it loops from there. Model number is SM-A202F/DS. I can't pull log files using ADB.
Can anyone help me?
UPDATE: Tried flasihng the latest firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a20e/firmware/SM-A202F/XEO/download/A202FXXU3BTE2/344595/ and using the HOME_CSC file as oposed to normal CSC which would wipe /data. The flash was sucessful but instead of bootloop the phone entered recovery mode with "android cant be loaded" error. I've decided to wipe /data from there (most of stuff I have is either Google synced or stored on external memory anyway) and the phone boots normaly now. So now I have a new question - how can I integrate system app updates with factory versions without risking another bootloop?
