No write access to internal sd (not ext. micro sd) - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi all Im looking for some assistance with this issue please.
My problem...
no write access to int. sd when I had it prior to installing a modded obb file. (I think)
I can not move any file or folder with any file manager
camera will not store pics to int sd or display any pics in the gallery
No app with a obb file will install from the play store and gives error code (911)
Flashing a stock lollipop tar fails in odin.
What I have tried....
I have restored different 4 back ups. (stock rooted lp. sacs darklord and norma)
I tried to flash lollipop tar in odin and it failed.
I ran a command with a terminal emulator said to fix my situation.
I am currently back on sacs darklord rom via a back up and I can write to int. sd with my laptop.

Idk what command you tried but this helped me in the past with that issue.

Try this go to the playstore and get Terminal Emulator. In Terminal type:
(su)
then grant supersu. Next line type:
(restorecon -Rv /data/media)
It should do the trick it worked for me. And of course type in without brackets.

I hit enter and some text was displayed then I exited out of the terminal emu. and checked to see if it worked, obviously it did not.

I know it sounds to basic but try it again and reboot after typing that again. I've had the issue since 5.0 came to our devices. If i tried to change roms i had to do it or if i changed rom base like cm or tw.

Cm7 google apps

I installed pre beta 3 and then rom manager said I need to insert an sd card. I have one in so I partitioned it and that fixed it. Then I downloaded and installed gapps using cwn recovery. 4.0.1.4 I think. After that there was nothing new in my app drawer. Am I being stupid idk exactly how everything works yet. Would gapps give me market because that's all I really need.

While I have not installed cm7 on my Atrix, I know that on my nook market doesn't show until you set up your Gmail account. Have you done that yet?
Wipe user data and factory reset then they will show

Go to bootloader then recovery find install zip from SD card go into clockworkmod folder find the zip file for gapps which if I'm correct its called go inside me" or something similar and flash it that way. Sometimes when I'm installing roms for reviews that's how I have to do it

Try what I said. Go into recovery then go to install zip from SD card then find clockwork mod folder it should be in there install the zip from there if all else fails find the market apk online. I suggest 4shared just type in apk. Android market

fixed it you have to manually mount system in cwm.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I should only be using 5.5gbs rather than 11.

Did you just come from a 4.1.2 rom? If so use grab a file manager from the market and look under /data/media/.
If you switched to a 4.2 and up rom, you will see /data/media/0(this is your NEW home directory and all your data is hiding in /data/media/.
Simply move everything to /0 and your space will be correct again.
I did a full wipe into 4.3. Will your solution rectify the issue still?
Edit: I deleted the folder because i had no need for anything there. Do i have to Do this everytime i install a 4.2+ rom?

Only if you go back to a 4.1 rom, its a google thing I am not versed enough in, but hopefully it helped you out. You can do some reading up if you so choose. Because 4.2 introduced users, they had to make a change to file structure to support it if I am not mistaken.
Did it fix the issue?
Edit: Which folder did you delete?
Yeah I've noticed it messed where I had to point rom toolbox for backups.
I deleted media folder in data. Rebooted. Reloaded some apps that were affected by it. It seemed to get rid of the files in my 0/Legacy/SD and one more folder, finally freeing up my phone. Thanks for the help!

Hello Sir I'm in the same situation. So all I need to do to get straight is go to data media and delete the media file. Then reboot and I'll be straight.
I'm aware all my pictures and stuff will be gone but that's OK. Will I still have my recovery. If so it would probably be wise to make a nandroid now. Correct. Thank you for any help.

Twrp not recognizing items on extSdCard (download folder)

I recently installed 64gig extSdCard. I have downloaded items to it (roms etc) I have checked to see if they a "really there" which they are. Problem is twrp doesn't show them for me to flash when I go into recovery
Thoughts....?

I just recently went through an issue with my sd card, even buying a new one. Ultimately what fixed it was a simple 'fix permissions' in TWRP. Don't wait until you have to go to CWM for 4.4, though. CWM took the fix permissions option out of their arsenal. Since you've got TWRP, would you try it, please and report back? I am at odds as to if it was what ultimately worked although that's what the evidence says.

Do you have the latest version of twrp?
Sorry, worth a shot.
The only other thing I got is (if you haven't already) format the card in the phone, try a new card, verify the files are correct format.
Other than that, try back to stock, reroot start totally fresh. Clean card and all.

I'm having the same issue but it's with my internal. Went from 4.3 back to tw. Flashed the downgrade zip but the stuff in my internal storage doesn't show up. The folders are all there but in twrp they appear empty.

Unable to delete files

As the title states in unable to delete files from my internal memory. I'm not sure if it has to do with trying one of the aosp builds or what. I've checked permissions they are all set correctly and I'm stumped. Anyone else had this issue?

What rom are you running, file manager are you using, are you rooted, do you have recovery, what kernel do you have?
We can help once the additional info is provided.
Plus, this belongs in the Q&A forum.

Try using root explorer or es file manager, granting super user permissions (in es you'll see it on the left tab under the heading "root permissions" with an on/off button) and navigating to your internal. Try moving a file around, or creating a folder. See if you are prompted to mount your internal memory.
If your internal memory is write protected for some reason, you should be able to copy a file to your external storage or computer, but any write operations, including downloading pics from the Internet, downloads from the Play Store, all would fail).
Now try it with the built in file browser that came with the stock rom.
Report back.

I gave up and transferred my backup to the computer then used Odin to restore stock. I rooted and installed recovery again then restored my backup and all is good. I tried everything with ES File Explorer and still same thing. Thanks for the help

That was, unfortunately, the consensus solution. Glad you're back, but real pain it sounds.

It wasn't too bad only took around 30 minutes minus downloading updates to all my apps.

Unable to write to storage card - TIBU & TWRP

***Update***
After flashing a custom rom the problems seemed to worked themselves out. Mods you can delete.
Hey guys,
So I rooted my phone using the towel one click and custom installed twrp. However, now that I am trying to backup apps and the original rom I'm getting insufficient space errors. If I change the directory from extsd to just as titanium is able to recognize it.
I know the card is fine because i pulled it directly from my note 2 and was able to backup on it there.
Anyone having a similar issue or knows how to fix it?
