missing files on micro SDHC after transfer

Hi, i have my HTC hero rooted with the last Villainrom 12.0.0, i recently bought a new micro sd card 32gb and i dont know why but after i transfer data to my sd card i can see it, taste it, use it with no problems, but when i put the sd card into my phone some files get missing, i dont know why, but they just dissapear, may get into some kind of trash folder hidden into the card, but they are just gone...
i tried eather mounting the sd from my phone trough USB and retrieving the card from the phone and pluging it into the sd card reader in my pc, it doesnt matter, the problem stays.
i thougt may be it was some problem with the partition, i had the partition to use apps2sd, ext3 and all the crap, but the issue was still there, then i formatted in my pc fat32, still the problem, and finally formatted trough my phone fat32 and the problem persists, i dont know if maybe some software on my phone is making this happen or anything...
i dont know what to think, i know my sd card is ok becouse i used it filled with data and had no problems before...
please help me.... im gonna cry
I have exactly the same problem with my HD2... trying to upgrade from 8bg micro SD to 2gb micro SD.... everything copies across (or so it seems) however all the files in the 'program files' folder haven't come across, nor has my TOMTOM gps folder files..... ?
I've tried everything I can think of, why can I not copy card to card via my PC.... I'm sure it was simple when I changed from 2gb to 8gb cards.
Any help very much appreciated.

[Q] please. help. me. internal sd card damaged--?

Ok, first of all--I'm a total noob here, so please bare with me...my vibrant (stock 2.1--rooted, but I've been too "chicken" to try flashing any other ROMs...) has suddenly started giving me a message in the notif bar saying "internal sd card damaged" and then it will tell me "can not mount external sd card--mount point absent or incorrect"; I've tried connecting my phone to my pc with no luck--I've not tried to reformat my internal sd card yet, simply b/c I've got about 9gb full of photos/video of my toddler on there, and I just can't erase all of it without seeing if there is any way to recover them/fix my internal sd card, if that is even possible--? I've tried taking out the external card to see if I can connect pc to phone to access internal sd card and I still can't get it to work...please let me know what I need to do??
Please, anyone...?

damaged internal storage

I've been having trouble with the sd card in my new RAZR. Just this morning I noticed that I had a new notification "Blank SD Card - SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem."
If I clicked the notification it gave me the option to format but it would never format the card. I was still able to mount the drive to my pc so I made a backup of all the files on the card to my computer.
I did quite a bit of searching on the forum and eventually came across a post that said to try formatting the card with this utility:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
After I did a quick format with SD Formatter 3.1 I then noticed a new notification "Damaged internal storage - Storage damaged. You may have to reformat it."
Now I'm still able to mount the sd card on my pc via the phone but windows doesn't recognize any disk in the drive. I get this error "There is no disk in drive X. Insert a disk, and then try again."
Has anyone had this issue? Any idea what causes it and how to resolve it? At this point, I have a full backup of the contents, so I'm only concerned with resolving the sd card issues and making the notifications disappear.
Thanks
I had this issue, removed as card and blew into the slot and replaced the card, haven't had it happen again so far.
Sent from my XT910 using xda premium
Yeah, I've powered down the phone, removed the card, replaced it and powered back on but I still have the same errors.
Called Verizon and they told me to go to one of their stores to see if swapping out a new SD Card would fix it. Hopefully the problem doesn't happen again.
Stopped by the Verizon store and they swapped out a new SD card. The "Blank SD Card - SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem" error went away but I still had the "Damaged internal storage - Storage damaged. You may have to reformat it" error. This time it allowed me to format the internal storage.
So it turns out that the SD card was completely hosed and the external SD card got corrupted, but after the format was resolved.
I'm still not sure what caused this but I hope it's not something regular as I have had the phone less than a week.
Every time i got a problem with any external device, like sd card, I use this powerfull tool Aconis Disk Director. It has a lot of options that maybe solve you problem.
I've been seeing this too. How do they swap out the internal sd?

[Q] Can't keep SD card mounted, unmounts itself.

Just flashed my Bell MB860 to CM10 following an instruction guide I found on AndroidAuthority. It works great, I'm very happy to have Android 4 on a network that isn't going to support it.
But I can't mount my SD card anymore. I go to settings->storage-> and click mount SD card, and my notification bar first says "preparing SD card for use...", then it says "your SD card is now ready to safely remove". It unmounts it as fast as it can mount it. What the heck is going on here?
Thanks for any help in advance!

Nevermind, fixed it. I had to reformat my SD card. Not sure how or why, but at some point in the ROM flashing process, it's partition table got corrupted. When I plugged the card into my computer, it was able to read the card's MFT and display the files, but it couldn't tell how much free space was available, it just said 0 bytes. Formatting appears to have fixed that problem. Good thing I backed it up before flashing.
Very weird.

cannot access old files on an sd card after putting it in phone

Okay so i'am new here and want to know if I can access the entire data on my as card on windows after placing it in an android 4.2.2 htc desire 310 or am I only ever going to be able to access the current phone partition of the sd card?
I placed the sd card into the phone with 28gb of data already on the sd card, then to my horror saw the phone say it was preparing the sd card (holy **** this phone just earned a hammer through the screen was my first thought), however I can see all the data that was and is still on the sd card in the android boot loader sd card explorer.
So is there a way to access that 28gb on a windows pc or am I screwed?
Preparing the SD card doesn't mean it's formatting it.
And if it was, it'd ask you before taking such a step.
Let it prepare the SD card. There shouldn't be any problem. You can access it through windows. There's also a easier way actually, you can buy a Card Reader, and put your SD card in it and connect it to your PC....
So, I hope this answers your queries
