Just ordered the Krusell flip case and then got the belt clip to go with it.
If you have any questions about these items then feel free to ask away and I'll tell you as much as I can as soon as it arrives.

KRUSELL MULTIDAPT LEATHER SWIVELKIT SWIVEL KIT 45 45MM BELT CLIP FOR CASE ORBIT
Recieved my Krusell case the other day and its excellent in almost every way. The build quality is fantastic an even has that luxurious leather smell to it. Very strong and sturdy/well made case.
Flip cover folds downwards and can be slid off as well. I thought I wouldn't use the detachment feature but I use it all the time if I'm handling the phone a lot. You could even use the case completely without the flip cover and it would give you better protection than an Imak case (which I had first off).
It also has the option of a belt clip - which can be removed and Krusell has a lot of useful and different styled attachments. It comes with a alegator type belt clip that connects to the phone by a round plastic button attached to the case and this clip is a non swivel model - great for normal sized belts (thin/narrow).
I wear a combat style belt for work so I ordered the 45mm belt clip which slides onto the belt and can not come off without taking the belt off. The clip is a swivel clip and it clips in and holds super well.
Protects the phone very very well - there are holes etc but its made in such a way that its very hard for surfaces to come in contact with the phone at all. If you dropped the phone in this case it would be very well protected.
The cover looks as though it would probably outlive the phone.
The inside of the case is a soft suede leather which means that any dust or dirt getting in between the phone and the case is not going to act like sandpaper as in the hard cases - ie no scratching.
The only thing I noticed after a couple of days use is the the case loosened up slightly and the phone would move approx 1-2 mm out towards the top of the case making grabbing/sliding down the blind hard to access. I solved this by some double sided tape inside the case. I peeled off one side of the tape and stuck it to the inside of the case then slid the phone in and then gently pulled the case away from the phone and pulled the other side of the tape off with some tweezers and then pushed the case together - now the phone doesnt slide anywhere and is securely stuck inside the case and all the button/mic/camera holes line up perfectly.
Highly recommended and worth considering even if your thinking about an Imak style case because you can remove the clip button and the flip face and you have a similar but better case all round - the only drawback is possibly the price but compared to the price and capabilities of this phone I didnt think it too bad, especially if you work in moderate to extreme conditions.
What do you mean the flip part can be left off? Pics?
It slides off from where it attaches on the back of the case. I'll get some pic's at some point.

Oh wow cool. I didn't know it could do that. Looks like it leaves the top right corner exposed though.

I spose it does leave it a little "exposed" but this is so you can use the front facing camera and light sensors etc and even so its only a couple of mm and the leather on top of it is quite thick so to get something to touch that part of the phone I either have to aim the object at it or hold the phone at a 45degree angle to rub the plastic on the table. But then again with the flap on its covered by the clip strap.

Hey, so this a thread i decided to carry over here from the Nexus 5 forum. I've recently switched to the XZU and am definitely loving the build quality and the feel of the device. I try using it from time to time without the case but I'm also pretty concerned about how fragile it is due to its size and slimness. So I'm curious how are you guys using your devices? Does the risk of damaging it outweighs the unwanted bulk of a case for you?
Yes the risk does outweigh.but I can't blame. You for not wanting
To use a protective case for it. Because it hides the true sleekness
Of this beast but it comes. Down to personal Preference I just ordered two cases for it and one of them is a nillkin and the other is a vertical
Leather pouch with the swivel belt clip

It sucks that there aren't that many quality cases for the XZU down where I live. And even when I do find its usually the cheap generic ones. I had bought the Nillkin fresh series which didn't fit well and felt cheap. Then bought another generic fake leather case which doesn't seem to be holding up too well either. I think I might just order one of those Love Mei aluminum bumpers.

I have a glass protector in front and plastic on the back then to carry around I do use a case but when at home, I prefer to hold it naked (the phone!).

If youre holding the " phone" naked then be sure to keep your hands dry as its quite slippery [emoji1] also I do the same with my phone when at home just worried the top and bottom rails paint is coming off from constantly removing the case as it's made of plastic.

Have you placed the front glass screen protector ontop of the ASF?
Those who are using this phone naked please be careful.
I was using it naked for a while and I am very careful with my devices but
unfortunately it slipped out of my hand and hit hard floor. Luckily there is only a slight scuff in the right corner.
I am now using a case.

Yes on top of it. I did not want to remove anything
Anyone knows of a case for the S7 that can used with the Gear VR without having to remove the case? I have the Luvvit Clear Case and even though it is relatively thin, it has to be removed to get the S7 to plug in the Gear VR.
Same thing for the screen protector, even with the case removed, plugging the phone in the VR presses against the screen protector (amFilm Glass, which is crap) and pushes it up by about a cm. Anyone tried to use the VR with a screen protector as well?
Also, the amFilm Glass protector has the dot matrix on it and those really ruin the Gear VR experience as they are highly visible. I'd imagine all glass protectors that have the dots will be the same.
I thought this would fit well with VR but it seems it doesn't fit:

I have just ordered this:

Hoping it will fit in VR:fingers-crossed:
I took a sharp pocket knife and chipped away the 2 tiny plastic bumps within the connector on the VR headset that's supposed to help guide the phone into the usb I believe. My screen protector, without case, glass or ArmorSuite kept getting snagged by these 2 lil bumps. Fits perfect now with the screen protector with no catch.

I consider to cut that plastic parts cos phone doesn't fit Gear VR with tempered glass. If I cut these 2 plastic part, does phone still fit toughly in Gear VR and stays stable when I turn head when Gear VR is on?

Yes. Fits great. I am using thinnest tempered glass screen cover and it still stays stable with rubber stoppers. To be honest, it's still a bit tighter than I would like. It still will push the A-B slider as I insert it unless I manually hold it in place. No negatives for me cutting the rubber stoppers flush.

So you are all removing the rubber bump from the connector?
Do you guys have any problem with the front of the screen, near the Samsung logo? I have noticed a mark on my screen protector around the Samsung logo. May be it is created when the phone is installed and something is pushing towards the logo? Anyone having this problem? Or is just my screen protect not being of good quality?
I've noticed some small scratched at the top of my phone above the speaker
Kept wondering where they came from and then realized that's where the phone inserts into the Gear VR

You have a scratch? You didn't install a screen protector? Or did you still get that scratch with the screen protector on?

The screen protector doesn't cover that area. It's a PET 1 pice and stops at the sensors/camera/speaker and the scratches are right above the speaker near the edge of the glass

The plastic of the GearVR shouldn't scratch the glass. The gorilla glass is much harder (on the rockwell scale).

I cut it and it worked, thanks sir:good:
I insert my phone at an angle into the Gear VR so to prevent the rubbing you guys are describing. I lift up the lever that holds the phone in, insert phone in an almost upright position, and push it down into the level/clip. No sliding is involved and works for me.

Are you saying it fits now with a case on? Or just with a tempered glass protector?
How bout with the s7 edge + this beetle pro full protection version.. does removing the bumpers make both fit without removal.. curious? Anyone tried?
Hey, I just received ->THIS<- case that I ordered on 27th of July. It's made from silicone with nice grip on the back
Case from back
Case from front
The power and volume buttons are hidden under the case but the alert slider is not and it's deep enough that u can't switch it with one hand and you have to use nail to switch it to different position
Power Button
Volume buttons and Alert Slider
Detail on Alert Slider
The cutouts on the bottom are wide enough that you can put bigger headphone jacks in and Dash Charge cable is perfect fit. The case doesn't block the speakers at all neither the microphone.
Bottom cutouts
The case is big enough to cover the camera bump so the camera doesn't protrude at all
Camera cutout
It's a bumper case so there the screen won't get scratch up when you put the phone upside down on table.
When I look at the case from sides it looks like it should be possible to apply Orzly Tempered Glass V2 or practically any Tempered Glass. I might order the Orzly one later.
Front from angle
Front from top
One last thing I want to point out is that this case is like magnet for dust,It was lying on table and I moved it a little on table,as soon as I picked it up I noticed that the back of the case took ale the dust I had there. It's not a big deal though you can easily clean by swiping them.

I cant find a good case for ROG 3 on flipkart of Amazon. Which case are you guys using? where did you buy it from??
I am using Lighting Armor case as I need to use the air trigger. If you do not care for the function of air triggers (dual & slide), can get IMAK case from aliexpress.
I'm also using the lighting armour , I like it ok it drains power but I still like it
I am using the average tpu case that is available for rog 3, i had to make cut out for the side mounted type c ports though
I'm using this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001345047036.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5d6e4c4d4DwYCq
It's not perfect, but provides enough all around protection, the cutouts are in place.
The included tempered glass screen protector is of good quality, but the black border covers a few pixels on the sides.
It's pretty cheap, I can recommend buying it to protect your ROG Phone 3 - as I said, it's not perfect, but good enough.
Using this one with a tempered glass in the front and a silicon film in the back
I have ordered this IMAK transparent black TPU case with extra corner shock-proofing along with these IMAK clear soft hydrogel films for front & back protection.
Hopefully shipment arriving to me by early next month.
Used to use the lighting armor case until the slippery uncovered aluminium side caused me to drop the phone yesterday, now the phone has a dent on the top right corner of the frame. Lighting armor has the best look of all the cases out there. Now using Zshow case which should prevent it from hitting the screen flat down if I ever drop it again. I'm lucky the phone didn't fall face down with the lighting armor case which would have guaranteed a cracked screen.
I have the imak tpu case too but it cause the tempered glass to lift.
Besides the tempered glass being lifted issue, what's your experience/ feedback regarding your IMAK TPU case (is it with extra corner protection)?
Imak case is quite loose around the air triggers, power button, volume button and side port. Top 4 corner airbags are the problems as they can be depressed quite easily and this cause the screen protector to lift up. You will know when you hold the phone on your right hand with your palm resting with the bottom right corner for support, and this can cause the screen protector to lift.
I'm getting the hydrogel film screen protectors - Hoping that screen lift is not an issue.....
What's your experience or opinion regarding the general damage/ drop protection with this case?
Quality, overall fitting & feel?
It will protect if dropping on the corners as well as face down. However dropping on the back might be a problem because the camera lens are protuting out (although the case cover the camera lens). Placing the phone on the table will also result in wobbly phone when using.
---------- Post added at 06:15 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:13 AM ----------
Quality, would say it is better than those generic cheap tpu case (which has worse fit than imak), feel wise, it is slippery on the back.
I just received this: Foluu ROG Phone 3 Case through Amazon. £6.71. To hold it without the phone it doesn't feel great and whilst over the standard case it comes with its bulkier I feel so much safer knowing my camera wont get scratched when I put the phone down. It also raises of the front screen by a minuet amount so there is a bump as you move your finger about. I'd rather that than a nasty scratch though so happy with it.
Air trigger holes and extra power connector cut out too as well as on the back a nice design

It covers the side? The picture on amazon looks like it is an open side design. I don't see slapping that case will provide a good grip.

I am using Asus Original Screen Protector without antibacterial coating. The antibacterial protector is not available in my country. Great protector, no blocking of edge unlike the cheap china protector which has thick black borders and block the edges of the display.

Thanks for this, I did think about getting this over.
I'm using the magnetic flip case which is great, but no front lip so don't drop the thing like I did, broke my display as the screen protector didn't quite cover all of it and a tiny stone hit the outer edge.
Not the end though as I've bought another, and will get it repaired under insurance consider it a lesson learned.

FEEDBACK
Took about 5 weeks to arrive (from China).
This IMAK case is good build quality and fit over all, could have been a bit more snug - the extra corner padding does not make it look slick, and I am not sure if it is worth it on balance.
There is a 2 mm lip all around the front panel to help with screen protection.
Cut-outs are spot on - including for air-triggers/ 3 mics/ heat vent/ side USB ports. No cut-out for SIM-tray though but it's better this way.
Camera module is fairly well protected.
No issues with air-trigger related squeeze gestures.
The Hydrogel clear gel screen protector had a ?extra notch cut-out just left of the front camera (?? why) but otherwise the rest of the dimensions were spot on. It came as a set of x2 in one pack, which was a nice surprise. Included a helpful set of instructions/ link to video.
I preferred it to be short by about 1 mm all around the edges to minimise the risk of "lift" when the case is compressed in pockets/ when using the squeeze gestures etc.
The touch feel is smooth and has a good response. Visibility through this screen film is fine; no glare issues. I prefer these type of gel screen protectors to glass.
Has anyone come across a case that doesn't need to be removed when connecting to the accessories (eg Twinview, Mobile Desktop Dock)?
