Camera AOSP vs TW

I just got my GSIII and even though I have spot metering on, the phone still doesn't base the ISO on the spot I touch in the frame. It basically functions as center metering. I'm considering flashing an AOSP ROM because I'm not thrilled with TW at all. The menus aren't graphically appealing to me, that's all. Can anyone with the AOSP camera that uses this feature get back to me? I know it's not a DSLR but even the Sense camera on my older HTC phones allowed me to choose what to base the lighting of the photo on.
Consequently, as a side question, is EVERY AOSP built on CM? Are there none that are based off pure Vanilla Android without anyone else's input or modifications? Maybe a straight port of the newest Nexus?
Thanks all!!

I thought SuperNexus might be Vanilla. Anyway, I'm more concerned about the cameras. Anyone know about the ISO issue and whether it works on AOSP?
Just going to try to bump this once to see if anyone can help. I can't believe nobody else has used this feature in the past. I just want light metering to be based on where I touch in the frame before taking a photo. Maybe I'm using spot metering wrong?

(Q) Paranoid Android

Just have a quick question. Dis anybody know whether or not we will ever see the latest Paranoid Android on this phone? We're already getting some 4.2 love. Would be nice to see Paranoid Android on this device.
I played with a bit a couple of months ago, but I never finished it. PAC-Man includes the PA hybrid engine and PIE.
I would love to see this too especially with the new halo feature they're coming out with... preview's on their google plus it looks amazing.
Will this be included in PAC-Man?
What advantages does the PA hybrid engine and PIE(what does this stand for btw) offer?
It lets you emulate various versions of android, ie tablet honeycombe

That sounds vaguely familiar now that you mention it. Thanks

Really the features of PA are best suited for tablets. I was running Pac for a while in the Rezound and found the PA features pretty useless for me at least. I use PA on my Nexus 7 and love it for the tablet.
- "Is it dark in there?"
Hybrid Engine lets you place individual apps or the whole interface into tablet, phablet, or phone mode. PIE is a buttonless UI best suited for phones with no physical buttons, but some people like how you can use it to see notifications even when apps are in full screen.

Overview Custom Roms for LTE Version

Hey dudes,
i´m interested in buying a nexus 9 lte.
I want to buy the n9, because it has a lte modem and custom roms.
But i can not decide if a rom supports also the lte version.
Can anyone help me to find a lte supported custom rom?
I know cyanogenmod supports it.
But i miss a little fit set of features in cm, so i´m looking for cm based roms.
the most important feature i miss on cm is the fast unlock from lockscreen.
I also think about to compile my own version of a custom rom.
So like, i use the cm lte sources and the additional sources from a supported rom, but i have no idea if this could work.
Also i think about to implement the drivers for lte. But i think this is not all i have to do.
Can anyone help me and give me some tipps.
thx a lot.

There doesn't seem to be too many roms available for the LTE version of the N9. Personally I've been using Purenexus which runs very smooth.

Omni Rom?

I'm quite surprised no one has ported Omnirom to the Kenzo/kate...
Anyone have the capability and the time to do it?

Verizon project treble?

Does anybody know if project treble will come to the Verizon model? If it does, does it mean that we can install custom ROMs finally? Thanks. Also, are there any Pixel like custom ROMs where both speakers work, s pen works with palm rejection, and is pretty bug free? If I need to get rid of the Verizon model and buy wifi I will. Thanks!
