Yes, you can... the simple and fastest answer to your question.
(However, you'd better urge your researching skills more before asking such simple questions)

If you don't have an unlocked bootloader, you cannot have a ClockworkMod... which means you cannot install custom ROMs.

yes you can, as long as the custom rom is not dependent on custom kernel but uses exactly sony original ics kernel

So if I flashed CM10 and found a lot of bugs, I'll be able to restore my stock Sony ICS ROM and everything will work normally? Sorry I'm really new to this

I was wondering if I could flash SlimCM linaro Rom on my Xperia U
I will flash it on Stock .100 ICS, locked bootloader. Is it okay to flash the locked bootloader version that is on the thread through recovery? Wil it be safe?
Thank you!

No it won't. But you can try with atis patch for locked bootloader. Search it. And also delete boot.img or kernel.elf inside the ROM zip.

Personally, I don't see much difference between them, so it's all your choice.
.100 is good because .10 lags for me . but is it your choice .

Hello.
Will flashing Stock Kernel for Z2 fix my issue with charging when phone is off? (it now reboots all the time i plug in the cable)
Or will this cause a soft/hard-brick??
I was advised to use a different kernel, but I dont know.
Best, bjorn96
PS: my phone has CM11 ROM
You can't use stock kernel with cm and cm based roms

Doormlords kernel is ment for stock based roms only, not cm based.
Thats why you get bootloop
But I think the charging issue is a bug.
