Someone on Google+ suggested me Navel (it's a Sprint kernel made for the D855 apparently) as being great (with his special tweaks at least which were detailed enough to tell me he knows infinitely more about kernels than I do. I've never tweaked anything but governor and scheduler so far in the past 4 or 5 years). I'm looking for the Cloudy 2.5 kernel at the moment to flash back in case Navel doesn't satisfy me. Do you know where to get the 2.5 kernel? If it's something that can be extracted or such, I wouldn't know and any enlightenment is welcome

Cloudy kernel is just the stock kernel I'm certain. Should be fairly easy to find.

[Request] Anyone had the Old kernels for stock rom 2.3

Titles already says it, If any one still had the old paolo kernels e.i V3. link was dead so I asked if anyone still had it and can share it to me, and probably others looking for it too.
Thanks in advance.

Do you have paolo's kernel the one with vsync off? can you attach it on your reply.

Need a Kernel please!

Put my wifes TB on skyraider zeus (Bamf). The stock kernel seems a bit laggy with very poor battery life. I have been looking for a solid OC kernel, but it seems as if any of the links I find are dead.
Can someone please help me out with some options to run with this Rom, suggestions and/or links?
thank you in advance.
Me personally I would use imoseyon lean kernel. By far the best kernel for the t bolt. I can give you a link. Remind me what sense version that rom is.

International N7100 kernels on i605 (VZW)??

So there aren't very many kernel options for AOSP/CM ROMs on the VZW Note 2. Does anyone know if kernels for the International Note 2 (N7100) would work on the VZW i605?
Check out Imnuts' PeanutButta Jelly...running it since Friday and it's great.

It's for TW ROMs, not AOSP/CM. I asked in his thread if he would create an AOSP/CM version but haven't gotten a response yet.
Ah...sorry. Missed that part. Good luck in the search.
My guess would be no and don't try. You can always ask the developer try a pm see if they respond. What do you need a new kernel for? It usually is a bad idea to screw with the kernel as it can cause major problems if you do something wrong.

Yes but new kernels can often greatly increase battery life and otherwise improve performance while adding features...
I have never really experienced that except with over clocking. And neither of those is a problem in this phone.

Google edition based ROM benchmark?

I installed faux mainline kernel and quadrant is only like 11k. What's good settings or kernel for performance life and stable. I've always run stock or faux.
I know on any tw based ROM stock kernel you get 12-13k..
Btw. Running the eclipse 1.6 ge

If I remember right I read somewhere that aftermarket kernels dont boost the processor speed to max when benchmarking but the tw kernel does so that could be why your.score is reading lower then normal.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk. now Free

[Bounty] better kernels

ok so ive been looking around for kernels for both of my devices lgg2 and n5 and ive noticed that theres a kernel with "knock on" but i also saw a sweep to wake and im sure people would donate because it would make the device better so yea, if a kernel developer has time start making a kick as$ kernel ill donate to whoever comes up with it first

I don't think a thread is needed for this, but..
Also, there already is a custom kernel..

i know there are custom kernels like wootevers and idk the others name but i mean like sweep2wake and stuff ive seen it all over n5 but yea i like the idea, but i am not skillled enough to make it/port it, im looking for a feature pack kernel not a overclocked slightly modified one. sorry i had to rant about it
I wouldnt mind seeing more dev for kernel...or roms...but kernel is important.
Dont need kernel for that, install nova and screen on

Are there more kernels out there. Only see Woots custom kernel.

I think S2W can be implemented by @Wootever , his kernel is @faux123 based, (Who make S2W possible for N5), but i don't know if faux make S2W open source, if he make it, we can get it.
