My phone was working, I had MiniCM7Pro V21 Installed and I tried to install the CWM Recovery Version 5, because in my installed version the Battery Stats Wipe wasn't working and my battery was draining very quickly.
After the CWM Recovery Version 5 Installation my phone got bricked because it's getting stuck in Sony Ericsson Text.
I am trying to Reflash but only Flash button is active and it doesn't show any firmware though I have copied both zip and unzipped files in firmware folder in FlashTool_0.2.9.1
I tried to use SuperOneClick to root but it gets stuck in Waiting for device. Kindly help.
It gives the following error :-

I have installed it.

Press home+power button until you see black screen, then immediately press and hold back button plugging your phone into computer. When you see black screen and green flashlight-> your phone is correctly booted into restore mode. From this mod, you can restore your phone, using SE restore tools: SEUS and Sony Ericsson Pc Companion, or flash stock kernel using flashtool.
P.S. If you wont see black screen and green flashlight for the first time, try it again, again until you putt your phone safely into restore mode.
Thank you for the reply, the black screen do u mean the black screen with Sony Ericsson Text ? When I Press Home+Power Button I can see the Sony Ericsson Text Black Screen and then I press and hold the back buton Pluging my phone into computer I keep on seeing the Sony Ericsson Text Black Screen with no green flashlight.
I am still trying.
Black screen without any logos. Just black screen. Don't forget to hold back button.
Doing that, but it still gets into Sony Ericsson Text Screen, I press home and the power button, black screen for a while and I press back button and try to connect the phone the Sony Ericsson logo appears.
But When the cable connected and back button pressed the I can see the charging image and green light flash.
and in Flasher it shows the following :-
07/007/2012 23:07:36 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
07/007/2012 23:07:36 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode

reflash to stock kernel and ROM
- install PC companion.
- connect phone in repair mode
- install drivers.
- after driver installed, reflash stock kernel using flashtool
- after stock kernel installed, reflash stock ROM using PC companion
- after stock kernel and ROM flashed, your phone should be like just when you bought it.
- bootloader should be locked now
- Root again
- unlock bootloader again
- Flash nAa again
- Flash cm7 again
- DONE!
Thank you for your reply, I have PC Companion Installed, I have a Generic Firmware downloaded, I have no idea what a stock kernel is ?
I am not able to get into this repair mode, I think this mode is when the flash light flashes ?
from the Bootloader part, I think I can do it because I did it before following a tutorial. If you can lease help me with the prior stage to bootloader lock would be highly grateful.
Thank u
Ones again: to enter restore mode you have to power off your phone, using home+power buttons or powering off like I have on picture. Then press and hold back button, while plugging it into computer.

- To relock bootloader you need to flash stock kernel which is 2.1.0.a.06 kernel.
- You need to flash stock kernel because if you have nAa kernel or any custom kernel installed, you wont be able to repair your phone using pc companion.
- After flashing stock kernel:
1. open pc companion
2. click support zone. (click start below it)
3. after clicking start, there should be a new window which also has a "start button"
4. on the 2nd start button, there should be a button under it which says "repair"
5. after clicking repair, just follow the steps for you to connect your phone in repair mode.
6. complete the repair installation.
7. DONE!
8. Bootloader should be locked now.
Thank you I was able to restore through PC Companion by getting into repair mode, however I didn't use flashtool to flash prior to usin PC Companion.
Thank you both for your kind support, Highly appreciated.

You are welcome my friend
And how should I proceed if I have a really hard brick (u20a)?
I tried to flash nAn on it, followed some instructions to unlock the bootloader, but something went wrong, the results were not the ones that should had been, and I made the mistake of turning it off. Now whenever I try to power it on, it doesn't do squat.
The only thing that makes me think it's still alive is that (after several months) I plugged it in and it began blinking on red (perhaps really low battery).
I've tried to pull the battery, put it back in, press back (keeping it pressed), and then plugging the cable to the computer and nothing.
Any ideas? Or should I flush it down the toilet? :crying:

I read the "How to Unlock BootLoaders for Sony Xperia Sola" by "DooMLoRD" today & tried to unlock my XPeria`s bootloaders but failed.
I did everything right but failed to call the fastboot mode correctly.
I pressed & hold Volume Up key of my Xperia Sola & plugged the USB cable in, the phone started showing the blue light, i.e; it was connected in fastboot mode but after 2 seconds Sony`s logo came up on screen & the phone was disconnected from fastboot mode ( the blue light disappeared ). And the phone started normal charging.
Can anybody please help me, how to resolve this issue.
Thank You:fingers-crossed:

Hold the vol+ button for a longer time
I have tried that but it does not work...
As soon as Sony`s logo is displayed the phone gets back to normal.
try installing fastboot drivers from another source and make sure u have android sdk (fastboot drivers is included in tools or download it using sdk manager) along with google usb drivers.
replace android-sdk\extras with this
http://dl-developer.sonyericsson.com/customROM/windows/downloadinf.zip
try fastboot again (if asked for drivers, point to this file
I have the same problem. What am I missing here? I have SDK Tools on & I keep my vol + (tried Vol - as well) Plz I need help cuz I want my sola rooted!
So I wanted to try the new android Oreo ROM for Xperia XA1 Plus but my version of software did not support the update (I think the original carrier has not yet released the update - I bought the phone from someone else so I'm unsure about the limits the original carrier has imposed).
Because Xperia Companion has not detected any possible updates I have decided to go with FlashTool. I have been using FlashTool with countless Xperia devices and It has never let me down.
Sadly, I think (or I'm sure) I have flashed a wrong rom - for G3423 instead G3421.
Let me describe the flashing process (after unlocking bootloader with "fastboot oem unlock"):
1. I have charged the phone to around 60% and plugged it into the PC. It was sitting in the TWRP recovery I have flashed before for 2-3 hours but It was connected all the time so I don't think that the battery percentage could've dropped.
2. I have downloaded ROM for G3423 with XperiFirm, the ROM description:
G3423_Customized GEL_1310-9253_48.1.A.0.116_R1B
3. I have switched the phone to flashmode (vol down + connected to PC) and flashed using FlashTool. Also I should mention that I am using Linux so no driver problems ever occured during the whole flashing process.
4. The flash went smoothly and FlashTool told me to disconnect and turn the phone on.
So after disconnecting the phone I have been trying to turn it on several times, but the power button just wouldn't react at all - no vibrations, blinking diodes etc.
When the phone Is connected to a charger or PC, a red diode shines constantly but nothing happens. Both adb devices and fastboot devices do not list the device.
I have tried several things to bring the phone back to life:
-holding power + vol up/vol down/both vols, and waiting for vibrations - no effect
-charging the phone for over 30 hours non-stop - the red led is still shining
-leaving the phone with two rubber bands on it - one holding volume button, the second one holding power overnight
-running FlashTool and preparing to flash, leaving rubber band on the vol down button and connecting the phone to PC overnight
-repairing with Xperia Companion - phone is not detected
None of the above had any effect on the phone, It is still dead.
Is there anything I can do to bring it back to life except sending it to sony support (and I do not even expect sony support to help me right now, after all I have tampered with the device)?
If It is required I have the required knowledge to open the back cover and disconnect the battery but maybe It is still possible to somehow fix the device without opening it?
I think that opening the back cover and disconnecting the battery cable for some time could help but I am not sure.
Did You tried with Sony PC Companion ?
https://support.sonymobile.com/gb/xperia-companion/#gref
I did but I think it will not detect my phone If it cannot enter flashmode/fastboot mode and has an unlocked bootloader.
Companion wants me to press vol down button and connect it to the PC and as I said vol down + power doesn't work

It happens to me on Xperia Z2 (old phone) i want my Z2 4.1 to 4.4, i kill my own phone by my mistakes when my phone turned back on i see red light 3 time, sorry can't remember anything.
because flash nand get corrupted.
you must read the instructions carefully, before you flash.
Don't go sony support or take sony shop because Is Too expensive to fix the motherboard and your phone is void the warranty by flash unofficial rom or tools
I am sorry for your phone :crying:
Hi, i have a xperia z2 totally unresponsive, no power button, no volume buttons, no red reset button, no power on any form but magnetic port, no testpoint function (testpoint connected to ground or plates or point near to upper screw or any other know ground point).
The whole thing started when i try to flash some custom LineageOS 16 for Sirius board!
I try to update TWRP from 3.0.2 to 3.3.1 and flash the rom with gapps for android 10. The rom in TWRP mode shows an error and stop flashing, then i try again with wipes and same error, i try gapps and same error, then i reboot to system and crash, good bye BOOT, SYSTEM and all.
No PC response too. It just power by putting into magnetic dock, just then the phone power on and stuck into SONY logo.
There is a form to get the phone back to life??
P.D.: Phone is bootloader unlocked with TWRP 3.0.2 succesfully installed. Works normally before try to install that Sh*t of rom. Stock Rom Android 6 (23.5.A.1.291), usb cable, buttons board and red reset button unresponsive.
Did you hear any sound from pc or see device manager refresh when you connect device? Or did you try another usb cable?
Try press red button when you see Sony logo then connect to pc with flashmod or fastboot (if it detectable first)
So You Flashed the rom on the 3.0 twrp?
