Hello,
I am asking for your contribution in order to find a ROM that provides good performance while giving good battery life.
I am using stock but I find that the ROM implements lots of stuff I don't need (customisation, themes...)
I want a debloated ROM, Touchwiz or stock (I would prefer stock though)
What would you suggest?
Thanks for your answers

Hi,
I'm using a stock based ROM (4.1.2) and have many stability and battery issues with it (after freezing/uninstalling the Samsung bloatware). So I'm seeking for recommendations for a ROM that will be stable and efficient for the battery. Not looking for the latest Android version. Just something stable and that will last me a whole day. If there are recommendations for kernel, great!
Regards.
Rom/kernel recommendation threads are forbidden here because:-
A) No two people will have the same experience of a rom or kernel due to the vast differences in phone usage & setup which influence this experience (I.E how you use your phone & have it setup will influence performance/battery life/etc far more than a given rom or kernel).
B) Being XDA, if you're here, it's assumed you like messing with your phone. You're expected to make a nandroid, read some rom/kernel threads, and try some out for yourself to see how they work for you.
Mods will be closing this thread presently.
Hello there,
I'm new with android customization, and I'd like to know, it would be the best kernel with rom GlamourS5:
And if GlamourS5 rom is the best rom for my S3 closely as possible to S5.
I need a good battery and performance
Thank you.
In short the best kernel is the one supplied with the ROM, this is probably the only kernel optimised for your ROM. If you require additional kernel features pick a kernel as required.
As for best ROM I'm afraid the only person who can answer that is you, and the only way to determine the best ROM for you is trying them out.

Try archikernel 1.3. For me it is the best..no FC and no random reboot
Best kernel threads not allowed at xda..
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...
Guys, I've looked through the threads here but I can't seem to find a rom which is stock, but debloated and optimized. I am on CM11 now but I am experiencing very bad battery life and some instability. I will be passing my S3 to my daughter soon and I would like to have a stable rom with good performance and battery life. It would be best if the ROM would be a modded stock rom which includes the factory languages, Icelandic to be exact
Can anyone point me in the right direction? It doesn't need to be Kit Kat, just a stable and fast rom.
Thanks!

giving me error file corrupt, redownloading doesn't help, flashed 8 different versions of twrp
@bjornvil: I guess your daughter often uses internet - then JB or KK are too unsecure. I recommend an AOSP-MM-ROM: Haxynox or Slim (fewer features than CM and its clones, but fewer bugs and lite).
Hello, can someone help me with a good lolipop rom for my Samsung Galaxy s2 gt-i9100
I need a lolipop rom with good battery life because i tried a lot of roms wich had horrible battery life or just something to improve the battery life.
Thank you
I hope no one will rape me, as I'm answering your not allowed question, but you'd try resurrection remix with pre-installed dark theme. Guess more battery life can't be expected on other lollipop roms. Lollipop in general needs more battery than the other Android versions in my opinion.
You can find the rom by searching for "galaxys2root".
In the section Galaxy s2 roms the latest for gt-i9100 will be rr.
Good luck

All lollipop ROMs have the same battery problem. You can flash all of them if you want, but all will give the same results. Go with kitkat if you want better battery life, personally Slimsaber 4.4.4 is my favourite. Or even better, Stock 4.1.2 is a good option in terms of battery life. I can not answer your question directly due to rules found on XDA.

RESURRECTION REMIX : Good for various settings but not too stable. I faced random reboots sometimes.
DIRTY-UNICORNS : I have system space issue with this rom. I am using custom pit for increasing system partition, but while flashing this rom; it repartitiates again to stock 5xx mb system partition. I donot know why
SlimLP : Good enough for daily use but have some bugs.
CyanogenMod 12.1 By Lysergic Acid : He is very good developer. Nice rom, it fits best of all above roms for daily use.
You can find all these roms here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives

It's in the development thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/samsung-international-moderation-team-t2149990

'Best' and 'Good' are closely related, so therefore it applies (don't want to sound like some kind of moderator here). But since OP is new member, we can let off with a friendly reminder.

I have been using Mido from long and flashed various ROMs.
Now I want to hand over this phone to someone else, so looking for ROM which is matured and stable.
I don't mind if it has minimal features but should be smooth and stable.
Can someone advise which is flash and forget ROM as on today?
Aosp Extended Oreo
Just flash and Forget
Greatly Optimised Smooth Good bb and Performance
How about MIUIPro?
